Abstract

ABSTRACT Milkfish (C. chanos) cultivation with cage ponds is one of the alternative aquaculture activities that can be developed in coastal areas. The purpose of this study was to determine the water quality condition in the cultivation of milkfish (C. chanos) using the cage method in the waters of the Slamaran Laboratory, Pekalongan. This research was conducted at the Brackish and Marine Water Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries, Pekalongan University, Krapyak Lor Village, Pekalongan City by observing the physical and chemical parameters of water during one cycle of fish cultivation. Based on the measurement results of water quality parameters, the pH value was 7, temperature 31.4oC, DO 20 mg/l, ammonia 0.15 mg/l, phosphate 0.03 mg/l, nitrite 0 mg/l, nitrate 2 mg/l and salinity. 11 ppt. The condition of the water quality parameters during the fish farming period runs stably. The water quality parameter values ​​also tend to be good when analyzed based on the results of related studies. So that the conclusions that can be conveyed from the results of this study are that the condition of water quality in milkfish (C. chanos) cultivation activities in the cage ponds of the Slamaran Pekalongan Laboratory based on analysis and literature study is still quite good and feasible to be used as a fish cultivation rearing.

Abstract

Kegiatan budidaya akuakultur di wilayah pesisir sangat perlu untuk dikembangkan dengan pola yang lebih adaptif. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa pemanfaatan budidaya ikan keramba adaptif di kawasan pesisir yang terdampak banjir rob melalui analisa pemodelan causal loop. Penelitian ini dilakukan di keramba budidaya ikan adaptif dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan nilai kualitas air yang meliputi pH 8.0, Oksigen terlarut 5.49 mg/L, Total Dissolved Solids 5.30 mg/L, amonia 0.01 mg/L, nitrit 0.11 mg/L, nitrat 0.20 mg/L, fosfat 0.01 mg/L, suhu 28.180C, dan salinitas 18 gr/L cukup sesuai dengan nilai baku mutu air untuk budidaya. Kemudian nilai survival rate 83%, biomassa ikan 125 kg, dan Feed Conversion Ratio 1.1 termasuk sangat menguntungkan. Selain itu, hasil pemodelan dinamis menunjukan berat ikan maksimal yang dapat dipelihara adalah 150 gr dengan tingkat produktifitas maksimal per keramba 3.000 kg/keramba serta produksi per hektar sebanyak 300 ton/Ha. Sehingga sangat prospektif untuk dapat dikembangkan lebih intens lagi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah hasil analisa causal loop menunjukan bahwa kegiatan budidaya ikan keramba adaptif memiliki banyak manfaat pengembangan dan dinilai cukup prospektif untuk dapat dijalankan dalam skala yang lebih luas.
