The changing times due to modernization are affecting people's lives. The amount of information about promiscuous sexual behavior that enters society without social control causes many teenagers to engage in promiscuity, resulting in pregnancies out of wedlock. This often forces them to marry or get Married By Accident. The aim of this research is to find out how families respond to marriages outside of marriage or marriages by accident. The method used in this research is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data was obtained through observation, interviews, and documentation. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. The criteria for informants in this study were teenagers and parents who had accidentally married. The data analysis techniques used in this research are data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that there has been a social change in the Simpang Village community. The family's response to getting married accidentally was characterized by anger, disappointment, sadness, and shame due to the family's disgrace. Therefore, the marriage was carried out to remove the shame and responsibility of the man who had impregnated the woman. Social change in the Simpang Village community has led to social functions and dysfunctions. Latent functions are considered as hidden and unexpected functions, and manifest functions are considered as real or expected functions. Marriage by accident has latent or hidden functions, namely eliminating shame, covering family disgrace, preventing slander, and being responsible for the man who has impregnated the woman. Meanwhile, dysfunction is due to social changes caused by marriages due to accidents, such as getting pregnant out of wedlock, which is a family disgrace and has become a taboo thing that has become commonplace in society.

This tradition is experienced by every member of the community as something that survives within a certain time. In this era, many traditions are still preserved in generations from ancestors to children and grandchildren in a society. Abstract

The main problem of this research is to find out the meaning of coins for the people in Tarempa Village, Anambas Regency. In trading activities that occur in people's daily lives, the use of money is the most important thing. For most members of the community, money in any form will be valued and accepted in buying and selling transactions. However, this does not apply to the people of Anambas Regency, including those in Tarempa Village, as they refuse to use coins in their transactions. This study used a qualitative descriptive approach and collected data through interviews, observation, and documentation. The informants were selected using purposive sampling technique based on predetermined criteria. The data obtained were analyzed and conclusions were drawn. The results of the study indicate that people in Tarempa Village interpret coins as a form of money that is worthless, and therefore have no value in everyday transactions. Based on the theory of symbolic interactionism, this meaning can arise because of the exchange of symbols that occur. This act of refusal is the community's response to the given stimulus based on their habit.

Abstract

This study investigates the phenomenon of make-up Sales Promotion Girls (SPGs) in Tanjungpinang City, Riau Islands. These SPGs are commonly found in supermarkets, shops, and crowded areas, promoting various make-up brands. In this current trend, SPGs no longer work alone but instead rely on intermediaries, such as fellow SPGs and friends, to expand their merchandise and reach their sales targets. They collect customers' mobile numbers to promote new products via WhatsApp and distribute brochures while explaining the benefits of their products and offering special discounts. This qualitative descriptive research employed the theory of Fukuyama (2002) and used five informants to investigate the social network of SPGs in Tanjungpinang. The study found that SPGs formed a social network based on family lines, friendships, and fellow SPGs. This network initially served as an economic network and later expanded into a social network, where members cooperate to achieve mutual benefits. The existence of social networks in economic life creates behavioral attachments in interactions or social relations. The informants' values served as rules that must be obeyed to achieve cooperation within the community.
