Abstract

Taxes are mandatory contributions to the state owed by individuals or entities, which are used for state purposes. According to law number 28 of 2009 Land and building taxes have been managed by the local government, in Nagari Limau Lunggo there are still many taxpayers who are absent from paying the PBB. The lack of taxpayer initiative has made the regional government of Nagari Limau Lunggo strive to ensure that the community pays their land and building tax on time. Data analysis techniques using data reduction then present the data to conclusions. The results of the analysis in this study resulted in the following conclusions: (1) Implementation of the wali nagari limau lunggo policy in paying land and building taxes so far has been quite good, in its implementation the head of the jorong has an important role in carrying out the policy. (2) In the process of implementing policies in Nagari Limau Lunggo, of course it does not always run smoothly, there are obstacles that are often found in the field by the head of the jorong as an officer who requests payment of land and building taxes in Nagari Limau Lunggo. (3) The mayor of the Limau Lunggo nagari has made various efforts in paying land and building taxes, starting from socialization by the nagari so that people are aware of the importance of paying land and building taxes, then by having a ball pick-up that makes it easier for them to pay PBB.

Abstract

Nagari is a potential place for a country's economy. The amount of potential that the Nagari has can increase the income of the Nagari community, but there are still many people who are not aware of the potential they have. One of the government's efforts to overcome this problem is by empowering the community by improving the management of Nagari-Owned Enterprises (BUMNag). This study uses a qualitative approach. Data obtained while in the field were recorded in field notes. After all the data has been collected, the next step is to analyze all the data, both primary and secondary data obtained by the researcher from the beginning to the end of the study. The results of this study indicate that community empowerment through improving the management of Nagari-Owned Enterprises is going well through the stages of increasing knowledge and skills, training, mentoring, and evaluation, and having several business units within it such as sharia savings and loans, waste banks, and agriculture. In this study, BUMNag management and the community were actively involved in every business program and with this community involvement community empowerment through BUMNag could utilize the natural potential and the potential of the community in the area.

Abstract

Pelayanan publik adalah pemberian pelayanan kepada masyarakat sebagai perwujudan kewajiban aparatur pemerintah. Seiring berjalannya waktu penyelengaraan pelayanan publik belum berjalan dengan baik dan agak terkesan mempersulit masyarakat. Pada tahun 2000 dibentuklah Komisi Ombudsman Nasional yang bertugas mengawasi penyelenggaraan pelayanan publik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang peran ombudsman dalam mencegah maladministrasi di kota Padang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa peran dan fungsi ombudsman di Sumatera Barat adalah mengawasi pelayananan publik, menerima laporan dari masyarakat dan menindak lanjutinya. Dalam upaya pencegahan maladministrasi di kota Padang ombudsman banyak melakukan sosialisasi dan melakukan pertemuan berkala dengan berbagai unsur masyarakat di Sumatera Barat. Ombudsman dalam kinerjanya mendapat respon positif dari berbagai kalangan di Sumatera Barat dari Pemerintah Kota, DPRD, dan juga berbagai LSM. Kendala yang dihadapi ombudsman adalah masih banyaknya masyarakat yang enggan untuk melapor ke ombudsman dan terkadang pemeritah kota Padang menjalakan apa yang menurut ombudsman itu baik untuk dilakukan

Abstract

The Head of Community Empowerment and Social Welfare plays a role in realizing Social Welfare Development, especially in enhancing economic development through community empowerment activities and social welfare. In this context, there are Community Social Workers (Pekerja Sosial Masyarakat) who function as partners for the Subdistrict to enhance development by empowering the community. This research aims to analyze the roles and functions of the Head of Community Empowerment and Social Welfare in community empowerment in Jati Baru Subdistrict, Padang City. The study also aims to identify hindering factors and efforts made by the Head of Community Empowerment and Social Welfare in the distribution of social assistance to the community. The research utilizes a qualitative descriptive method, employing data collection techniques such as interviews, documentation, and theoretical analysis. Based on the research findings, there are several obstacles in the distribution of social assistance in Jati Baru Subdistrict, such as administrative factors resulting in uneven distribution of social assistance, and limited human resources. The conclusion drawn from this research is that the roles and functions of the Head of Community Empowerment and Social Welfare in Jati Baru Subdistrict, Padang City, play a crucial role in identifying, assisting, and improving the welfare of the community. The fair and targeted distribution of assistance is essential to help those in need meet their basic needs. This study also suggests improving the quality of human resources to help reduce overlap in efforts to improve the well-being of the community

Abstract

The emergence of culinary tourism in the Aur Kuning subdistrict, Aur Birugo Tigo Baleh subdistrict was founded by business people and assisted and developed by the surrounding community. Culinary tourism requires supporting resources to be able to create a positive effect on the community's economy. This means that people also need seriousness in helping to create a good image for the tourist attraction, so that it will invite tourists to visit there. the friendliness and honesty of the people can create a special impression, so that it can arouse interest in coming back. The role of the community is very much needed to create favorable conditions for tourism development. Community participation around tourist attractions can be realized in trade objects or services such as souvenir shops that sell various souvenirs, photography and so on. Good cooperation is really needed between the managers of culinary tourism objects and the community around the tourist attraction. The community will provide support if it is considered that the business can have a positive effect on them, especially in improving the standard of living or the economy of the community, therefore this research is important to carry out to see the impact of the existence of culinary tourism in the Aur Kuning sub-district, Aur Birugo Tigo Baleh District

Abstract

This study aims to find out: (1) What is the level of community participation in selecting the candidate for Nias Regent in Biouti Village, Idanogawo District, Nias Regency? (2) What are the obstacles faced by voters in choosing a candidate for Nias Regent in Biouti Village, Idanogawo District, Nias Regency? (3) What solutions are given to overcome the problem of lack of community participation in the election of candidates for Nias Regent in Biouti Village, Idanogawo District, Nias Regency? . The research method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative which is generally carried out with the aim of systematically describing the facts and characteristics of the object or subject that are examined appropriately. Data collection techniques were carried out through in-depth observations (interviews) with informants to obtain the information needed. The collected data was then analyzed using descriptive-qualitative analysis. Based on the results of the study, several results were obtained. (1) How the level of community participation in selecting the Nias Regent candidate in Biouti Village, Idanogawo District, Nias Regency has decreased greatly due to public distrust of the Nias Regent candidate. (2) What obstacles faced by voters in choosing a candidate for Nias Regent in Biouti Village, Idanogawo District, Nias Regency, were due to human resources, candidate background, past trauma, level of public awareness, intimidation, voter list determination, and money . politics . (3) What is the solution given to overcome the problem of lack of public participation in the election of the Nias Regent candidate in Biouti Village, Idanogawo District, Nias Regency is to provide political education, especially to novice voters, the role of the media, political parties, increasing awareness, fairness, collecting voter list data , and choose from conscience.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the Covid-19 pandemic which has had a major impact on the economy of the community in Batang Arau Village. Factors such as lack of access to good jobs, lack of skills, and infrastructure problems are major obstacles to local economic progress. The socio-economic conditions in Batang Arau Village show that a small portion of its population still faces difficulties in earning enough income to meet their daily needs. This condition is exacerbated by the local economic sector which is usually limited to micro and small businesses, which still have difficulty gaining access to a wide market. By providing various development programs, the Padang city government has tried to improve community welfare. However, these efforts have not been able to fully solve the economic problems in Batang Arau Village. The problems in this study are (1) What are the Economic Conditions of the Batang Arau Village Community during Covid-19. (2) What programs has the Batang Arau Village Government made to improve the community's economy after Covid-19. (3) What is the impact of the Batang Arau Village Government Program on improving the community's economy after Covid-19. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation and interviews with 13 informants selected by purposive sampling. The results of the study indicate that the Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in an economic decline in Batang Arau Village. The Batang Arau Village Government responded with various programs, such as social assistance, entrepreneurship training, and capital assistance. This program has a positive impact in terms of increasing family income through direct assistance, skills training, and business capital assistance, creating new jobs and reducing dependence on the informal sector, facilitating the emergence of new businesses and increasing the number of active entrepreneurs in Batang Arau Village.
