Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of children's early reading skills through the use of word card media in the Kartika XX-5 Kindergarten of Makassar City. This study provides information on the ability of early reading through the use of word cards in children in kindergarten. The type of research used is using Classroom Action Research. The location of this study was TK Kartika XX-5 in Makassar City with the subject being group B children with 15 students. The instruments used in this study were observation / documentation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the use of word cards can improve initial reading. The use of word card media in the learning process can help children improve their initial reading skills. Increasing these abilities in terms of students are able to recognize letters / words, connect images with letter symbols / words, and are able to call the symbols of vowels and consonants that are known around the environment.Keywords: Beginning Reading, Word Card Media

Abstract

Abstract

Role-playing for early childhood is fun for students, so role-playing children need to pay attention to the interests and motivations of students. This study aims to analyze the implementation of role playing and describe the impact of emotional social development, this research was conducted using a literature review by collecting reference materials from various articles and journals based on the research objectives. The results of the literature review research related to the implementation of role playing while still requiring a foothold during role playing and paying attention to supporting factors by using the right media, educator creativity, teaching techniques and things that need to be anticipated by students' egocentrism and, undisciplined children and shy students. The impact of role playing obtained is courage, self-confidence, independence and communication as well as social interaction, and role playing has a significant influence on aspects of the development of social emotional skills of early childhood in kindergarten.

Abstrak Bermain peran bagi anak usia dini merupakan hal yang menyenangkan bagi anak didik, sehingga anak bermain peran perlu memperhatikan minat dan motivasi anak didik. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi bermain peran dan menggambarkan dampak perkemabangan social emosional, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan literature review dengan cara mengumpulkan bahan referensi dari berbagai artikel maupun jurnal dengan berdasar dengan tujuan penelitian. Hasil penelitian literature review terkait implementasi bermain peran dengan tetap memerlukan pijakan selama bermain peran dan memperhatikan faktor pendukung dengan menggunakan media yang tepat, kreativitas pendidik, teknik mengajar serta hal yang perlu diantisipasi egosentrisme anak didik dan, anak yang belum disiplin serta anak didik yang pemalu. Dampak bermain peran didapatkan ialah keberanian, percaya diri, kemandirian dan komunikas serta interaksi social, dan bermain peran memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap aspek perkembangan keterampilan sosial emosional anak usia dini di TK.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan perkembangan kognitif anak usia dini melalui penerapan metode eksperimen lilin uap di RA Mardhati. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya capaian perkembangan kognitif anak yang ditandai dengan kurangnya kemampuan berpikir logis dan memahami hubungan sebab-akibat, akibat dominasi metode ceramah yang monoton dan tidak variatif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Perkembangan kognitif yang diukur meliputi tiga indikator utama: (1) kemampuan berpikir logis, (2) pemahaman hubungan sebab-akibat, dan (3) kemampuan menyimpulkan hasil pengamatan, sesuai indikator Kurikulum Merdeka. Penelitian menggunakan model Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) Kemmis & McTaggart yang terdiri dari dua siklus, masing-masing meliputi perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah 12 anak kelompok A (usia 4–5 tahun). Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi dengan lembar penilaian perkembangan kognitif, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada perkembangan kognitif anak. Rata-rata skor awal (pra tindakan) adalah 38,3 (kategori BB–MB), meningkat menjadi 64,6 pada siklus I (kategori MB–BSH), dan mencapai 86,7 pada siklus II (kategori BSH–BSB). Persentase anak yang mencapai kategori BSH dan BSB meningkat dari 0% (pra tindakan) menjadi 50% (siklus I) dan 100% (siklus II). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen lilin uap efektif meningkatkan perkembangan kognitif anak usia dini melalui kegiatan eksploratif, konkret, dan menyenangkan yang memfasilitasi anak untuk berpikir ilmiah sesuai tahap perkembangan mereka.

Abstract

A Mover teacher is a learning leader who plays an important role in educational transformation in Indonesia. This community service activity aims to improve teacher competence at TK District Mallusetasi in applying the concept of Mover teachers through comprehensive training. The method used is participatory training with an andragogy approach which includes interactive lectures, group discussions, teaching practice simulations, and continuous mentoring. The activity was carried out for three months involving 15 teachers from TK Kecamatan Mallusetasi. The instruments used included teacher competency tests, teaching practice observation sheets, and program evaluation questionnaires. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in teacher competence by 78.5% from pre-test to post-test scores. Teachers' ability to design child-centered learning increased from 65.2% to 89.7%. Innovative and collaborative learning practices also experienced substantial improvement. This activity has a positive impact on the quality of learning at TK Kecamatan Mallusetasi and can be a replication model for other similar schools.
