Abstract

Pohuwato Timur Village of Marisa District is one of the slum settlements in Pohuwato Regency. This research aims at investigating the public perception of their environments. The results of this investigation are analyzed using correlation analysis to discover the most influential factors in the emergence of slum settlements. Data collection and analysis are based on several criteria, including the state of clean water provision, solid waste, household income, occupants' behavioral patterns, and ownership status. A quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis is deployed. Questionnaires and observation are used as the techniques of data collection. The results may be used as guidelines in creating strategies for structuring residential areas. This involves the development of a planning strategy for the provision of infrastructure as a means of increasing the identity of the area and a strategy to revitalize slum settlements. Keywords: slums; settlements; regional identity; society activities AbstrakDesa Pohuwato Timur, Kecamatan Marisa merupakan salah satu kawasan permukiman kumuh yang ada di Kab. Pohuwato. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui persepsi masyarakat terhadap lingkungannya, hasil perspesi tersebut dilakukan analisa korelasi dengan tujuan memperoleh faktor yang paling berpengaruh terhadap munculnya permukiman kumuh. Data and analisa dilakukan terhadap beberapa kriteria, termasuk kondisi air bersih, persampahan, pendapatan rumah tangga, pola aktivitas masyarakat dan status kepemilikan. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif serta menggunakan metode analisis regresi linear berganda. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu dengan kuesioner dan observasi. Hasil dari analisis tersebut dijadikan sebagai pedoman dalam membuat strategi penataan kawasan permukiman. Strategi tersebut meliputi strategi perencanaan sarana dan prasarana dalam peningkatan indentitas kawasan dan strategi penanganan permukiman kembali.Kata kunci: kawasan kumuh; permukiman; identitas kawasan; aktivitas masyarakat

Abstract

Pohuwato Timur Village is included in several slum areas in Pohuwato District. Most of the residents' houses in this area have low building quality, high building density, narrow road space, poor condition of drainage channels, and accumulation and pollution of river waste. The society also has unhealthy behavior by disposing their solid waste in the river and by using the embankment as the toilet. This research aims at investigating the condition of slums and the factors that influence the creation of slums. The results of the identification and analysis are used as guidelines in making directions for handling regional structuring. Identification of slum conditions is carried out on five indicators. The research method applies a quantitative approach and multiple linear regression analysis. Data collection techniques are questionnaires and observations. The identification results show that in general, it is a medium slum area. The results of the analysis show that residential buildings, environmental roads, drainage channels, wastewater disposal, and solid waste management simultaneously affect the slum conditions of the area, while partially only drainage and waste channels affect the slum conditions of the area. The direction of the arrangement is carried out with a pattern of handling resettlement with the principle of On-site Reblocking arrangement, as well as repair and arrangement of facilities and infrastructure of drainage and waste channels.

Abstract

The street space in the trading corridor looks irregular. This is because public space is contested by many parties, such as road users, street hawkers, pedestrians and parking users as well as formal traders. This encourages the birth of behavior adaptation to the environmental changes that occur, so as to establish the business territoriality to reinforce the physical and non-physical boundaries that have the potential to cause conflict territory use of public space. This study aims to design the trade corridor with full pedestrian mall concept so as to create a safe and comfortable shopping space. From this research is expected to be obtained steps to reduce conflict and optimize function of the space. Object of research in the form of observation of public space component that is physical setting of space (milleu), setting activity (activity) and human behavior (social setting). The method used is qualitative with Rationalistic approach. At the design stage do the design experiment with trial and error of design concept through transformation process until the embodiment of the formation in 2 or 3 dimension.

Abstract

Kecamatan Lemito merupakan bagian dari wilayah calon Kabupaten Gorontalo Barat, yang berpotensi menjadi sentral pembangunan di wilayah perbatasan Provinsi Gorontalo. Pada dasarnya kecamatan Lemito dengan Ibukotanya adalah desa Lemito harus siap oleh program pembangunan kota dan kawasan. Melihat kondisi saat ini, desa Lemito memiliki penampilan fisik yang dipandang sebagai kawasan permukiman yang tidak layak huni. Permukiman di desa Lemito termasuk dalam kategori permukiman kumuh, karena tidak teratur tata letak bangunan, tingkat kepadatan tinggi, minimnya pasokan air bersih, tidak adanya sistem drainase, rumah tinggal yang tidak memiliki jamban, tidak tersedianya ruang terbuka publik dan tidak terangkutnya sampah yang berpotensi menyebabkan timbulnya masalah kesehatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan konsep penataan kawasan permukiman kumuh yang rencananya terarah, terpadu dan berkelanjutan. Metodel penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Metode ini bertujuan untuk menggambarkan, meringkaskan berbagai kondisi, berbagai situasi dan realitas sosial yang ada di masyarakat yang menjadi objek penelitian, serta menjadikan hal tersebut sebagai gambaran tentang penyelesaian permasalahan yang ada di kawasan penelitian. Konsep penataan kawasan permukiman desa Lemito ini dilakukan melalui 6 (enam) rencana perancangan antara lain : (1) rencana struktur peruntukan lahan, (2) rencana intensitas pemanfaatan lahan, (3) rencana tata bangunan, (4) rencana sistem sirkulasi dan jalur penghubung, (5) rencana tata kualitas lingkungan, (6) rencana prasarana dan utilitas lingkungan. Master plan kawasan dibuat berdasarkan dari konsep dan rencana perancangan. Untuk mendukung penataan kawasan peneltian ini maka disusun beberapa tahapan indikasi program. Indikasi program yang akan dijabarkan telah dibagi dalam tiap item pekerjaan. Dalam inidikasi program ini juga telah terdapat perkiraan besaran nilai kegiatan per program utama, pentahapan waktu tahun pelaksanaan, alternatif sumber dana dan pelaksana kegiatan.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi saat ini telah berkembang pesat, dimana perkembangannya sangat bermanfaat yang tidak terhingga bagi kehidupan manusia. Perkembangan teknologi tersebut telah mencakup di segala bidang aspek kehidupan siswa. Ilmu Pengetahuan dan Teknologi (IPTEK) merupakan salah satu perkembangan yang sangat pesat, di mana era ini membawa iklim yang semakin terbuka untuk saling bekerja sama dan saling melengkapi. Di sisi lain, era ini juga membawa persaingan yang sangat kompetitif. Proses Perancangan bangunan pada sebuah infrastruktur di Indonesia menggunakan beberapa metode, seperti metode berbasis konvensional dan metode berbasis Building Information Modelling (BIM). Kegiatan ini dilakukan selama 5 hari, yaitu pada tanggal 26 – 30 September 2022. Lokasi kegiatan di Auditorium Universitas Gorontalo. Peserta kegiatan sosialisasi Building Information Modelling (BIM) berasal dari perwakilan konsultan, alumni dan mahasiswa. Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat telah dilakukan oleh tim pengabdian dari Fakultas Teknik dalam bentuk sosialisasi dan pelatihan Building Information Modelling dengan Tekla Structures di Auditorium Universitas Gorontalo, yang dihadiri oleh 50 peserta. kegiatan ini telah memberikan pengenalan tentang Building Information Modelling (BIM) dan memberikan keterampilan dasar dalam penggunaan aplikasi teknologi BIM khususnya menggunakan aplikasi Tekla Structures

Abstract

The coastal area is home to the fishing community of Botubarani Village, where the community depends on marine catches as their source of livelihood. Understanding the environmental characteristics of areas that serve fishermen is crucial for formulating policies and strategies for sustainable development. The purpose of this research is to find the characteristics of the physical environment that serves fishermen, the characteristics of the social environment that involves fishermen, and the characteristics of the natural environment related to fishermen. These three objectives were chosen because they are representative in the context of involving fishermen and have significant environmental challenges. This research uses a descriptive methodology with a rationalistic approach. Data collection was carried out using the method of direct observation of fishermen to gain an in-depth understanding of the characteristics of the physical environment, spatial planning, and daily life of fishermen, and conducting interviews with fishing communities and village governments to gain an understanding of their rational views of the environmental characteristics of village fishermen. Abstract

Dunu Village has a beach, which is one of the best marine destinations in North Gorontalo Regency. One of the village government's efforts to maximize this potential is by protecting the quality of its marine resources, which are the basis for developing tourism areas. Even though this beach has been used as a leading tourist attraction in North Gorontalo Regency since 2011, the Dunu beach tourist area is considered less developed as a tourism area that offers beach tourism attractions. Dunu Beach tourism still lacks supporting facilities, good facilities, and infrastructure such as road access to tourist attractions, no amenities in the form of cottages, minimal public facilities, and no beach safety boundaries to support tourist activities at Dunu Beach. The main objective of this activity is to create a Masterplan document that includes concepts, recommendations, and preparation of plans so that the area remains a destination that tourists can visit. Partners are also given socialization and training regarding making working drawings and preparing a Cost Budget Plan (RAB). This service activity started in August and was carried out in stages and continuously until a Masterplan document for the Dunu Beach tourist area was obtained. The implementation methods that will be applied in this service program are observation of existing infrastructure in coastal tourist areas, training in creating DED, RAB, and Tourism Area Management, assistance, and evaluation of aspects of structuring tourist areas. The result of this program is a master plan document for the Dunu Beach tourist area. Another target is expected to increase the partners' knowledge and the Dunu village community's knowledge and expertise in understanding working drawings and RAB as part of the master plan product in developing and structuring coastal areas. Dunu village; tourisme areas; Masterplan; Preparing a budget plan; Working Drawings.   ABSTRAK  Desa Dunu memiliki pantai yang menjadi salah satu destinasi bahari terbaik yang ada di Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara. Salah satu upaya pemerintah desa memaksimalkan potensi tersebut adalah dengan memproteksi kualitas sumber daya lautnya yang menjadi basis pengembangan kawasan pariwisata. Meskipun pantai ini sudah dijadikan sebagai wisata unggulan Kabupaten Gorontalo Utara sejak tahun 2011, kawasan wisata pantai Dunu justru dianggap kurang berkembang sebagaiman kawasan pariwisata yang menawarkan daya tarik wisata pantai. Wisata Pantai Dunu masih kekurangan fasilitas pendukung, sarana dan prasarana yang baik seperti akses jalan menuju objek wisata, tidak adanya amenitas berupa cottage, minimnya fasilitas umum, dan tidak adanya batas pengaman pantai untuk menopang kegiatan wisata yang ada di Pantai Dunu. Tujuan utama dari kegiatan ini adalah membuat dokumen Masterplan yang didalamnya terturang konsep, rekomendasi dan rencana penataan agar kawasan tersebut tetap menjadi destinasi yang dapat dikunjungi wisatawan. Selain itu, mitra diberikan sosialisasi dan pelatihan tentang pembuatan gambar kerja dan penyusunan Rencana Anggaran Biaya (RAB). Kegiatan pengabdian ini dimulai dari bulan Agustus dan dilaksanakan secara bertahap dan berkesinambungan sampai diperoleh suatu dokumen Masterplan kawasan wisata pantai Dunu. Adapun metode pelaksanaan yang akan diterapkan pada program pengabdian ini yaitu observasi infrastruktur eksisting di kawasan wisata pantai, pelatihan membuat DED, RAB dan Manajemen Pengelolaan Kawasan Wisata, pendampingan dan evaluasi terhadap aspek-aspek penataan kawasan wisata sehingga. Hasil dari program ini adalah adanya dokumen Masterplan kawasan wisata pantai Dunu. Target lainnya diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan mitra dan masyarakat desa Dunu baik dalam hal keilmuan maupun keahlian dalam memahami gambar kerja dan RAB sebagai bagian dari produk masterplan dalam pengembangan dan penataan kawasan pantai.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the characteristics of public open space on the edge of Lake Perintis Bone Bolango with placemaking approach. The research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach through observation, documentation and data analysis. The results showed that the character of public open space on the shores of Lake Perintis based on the elements forming the waterfront and data integration in the form of an open park that has a connecting path in the form of a pedestrian area, with the main purpose of arrangement for recreational activities, has a local economic character. Evaluation of the application of the lakeside Perintis public open space placemaking approach has met seven of the eight basic principles of the placemaking approach, namely the principles of community participation, local identity, comfort and safety, flexibility of use, involvement and artistic creativity, environmental sustainability, and long-term planning. The recommendation for the development of public open space on the shores of Lake perintis in the future is to fulfill one of the principles that has not been achieved, namely universal accessibility or access for all.

Abstract

This study describes the calculation of cold storage analysis for planning the preservation of vannamei shrimp in Pohuwato Regency. The purpose of this paper is to calculate the cooling load on frozen fish cold storage, calculate the performance of the vapor compression cycle including mass flow rate, compressor power, and COP. This study uses a theoretical design method. Cold storage design for product storage. The design data was obtained from field observations. The calculation results showed that the Refrigerant used was Refrigerant 12 (R-12), a vannamei shrimp product. The cycle cooling load is 47.33 kW. Cold storage designed for the process of preserving shrimp with a capacity of 13 tons, Cooling temperature in cold storage is 10° C, Superheated temperature is 5° C, Sub cooled temperature is 5° C, Refrigerant temperature in the condenser is 35° C, Refrigerant temperature in the evaporator is 5° C, the pressure in the condenser is 0.8 MPa, the pressure in the evaporator is 0.4 MPa so that a coefficient of performance (COP) of 4.7 is obtained.
