Abstract

This research is motivated by the skills of developing folklore (saga) into the form of short stories for students who are still low. The problem found is that students have difficulty developing folklore (saga) into short story form because they do not understand the material to develop folklore (saga) into short story form. This has resulted in the ineffectiveness of learning to develop folklore (saga) into short stories in the classroom. This study aims to describe the effect of the discovery learning model to improve learning to develop folklore (saga) into short stories for class X students of SMA N 1 Gunung Talang. . The population of this research is the students of class X SMA N 1 X Gunung Talang in the academic year 2021/2022, totaling 252 people. Samples were taken in class X IPA 5 and X IPA 6, totaling 25 people. The research method used in this study is the research design used is a quasi-experimental (quasi-experimental). The instrument used in this study was student performance tests. The results of this study are first, the skills of developing folklore (saga) into short stories for class X SMA N 1 Gunung Talang without using the discovery learning model to get an average score of 57.6 including sufficient qualifications in the range of 56- 65%. Second, the skills of developing folklore (saga) into short stories for class X students of SMA N 1 Gunung Talang using the discovery learning model obtained an average score of 76.2 including good qualifications in the range of 76-85%. Third, there is a significant influence in the use of discovery learning models in developing folklore skills (saga) into short stories for class X students of SMA N 1 Gunung because tcount > ttable (6.96 > 1.68).

Abstract

Pemahaman konsep merupakan kemampuan penting yang harus dikuasai oleh siswa. Akan tetapi beberapa guru bahasa Indonesia di SMA N 7 Padang mengatakan bahwa kesulitan melakukan pembelajaran yang dapat memandu untuk pemahaman konsep. Pembelajaran yang dapat memandu untuk pemahaman konsep adalah peta konsep. Melalui kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini, tim pengabdi Universitas PGRI Sumbar akan memberikan pelatihan tentang pembelajaran peta konsep. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa guru-guru bahasa Indonesia di SMA N 7 Padang sudah mampu memahami pembelajaran peta konsep yang dapat memandu untuk pemahaman konsep siswa dengan baik dan dapat mengimplementasikan SMA N 7 Padang Respon guru-guru juga sangat positif terhadap pelatihan ini dengan menunjukkan antusias saat melakukkan praktik kerja mandiri dan presentasi. PKM tersebut dilakukan dengan cara membimbing dan memberikan pelatihan pada guru di SMA N 7 Padang agar dapat menggunakan teknik peta konsep pada pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Penggunaan media pembelajaran ini dapat membantu siswa untuk lebih semangat dalam proses pembelajaran pada mata pelaaran bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the effect of the Think Talk Write Model on the Ability to Rewrite Biographical Texts of Class X Students of SMA Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan. This type of research is pre-experimental, with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The sample class studied was one class without a comparison class which was taken through a purposive sampling technique. The sample class in this study was class X MIPA 4. The research instrument used was to rewrite pretest and posttest biographical texts. The results showed that the ability to rewrite biographical texts for class X students of SMA Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan increased before and after using the Think Talk Write model. The average value of the posttest results for the sample class is greater than the average pretest results, namely 71.76 for the posttest and 27.25 for the pretest. Using the results obtained from the posttests on the Ability to Rewrite Biographical Texts of Class X Students at SMA Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan, it was concluded that the students were capable of rewriting biographical texts after using the Think Talk Write Model.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penggunaan Model Think Talk Write terhadap kemampuan menulis kembali teks biografi Siswa Kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitaif dengan metode pre-experimental rancangan one group pretest-posttest. Kelas sampel yang diteliti adalah satu kelas tanpa kelas pembanding yang diambil melalui teknik purposive sampling. Kelas sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas X MIA 6 yang berjumlah 35 orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes unjuk kerja yang diberikan kepada siswa pada saat pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan menulis kembali teks biografi siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan meningkat pada sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model Think Talk Write. Rata-rata hasil pretest yaitu 62,3. Nilai rata-rata hasil posttest yaitu 83,24. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan didapatkan nilai thitung = 26,97 lebih besar dibandingkan nilai ttabel = 1,691. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Dari hasil yang diperoleh, disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh Model Think Talk Write (TTW) terhadap kemampuan menulis kembali teks biografi siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Koto XI Tarusan.
