Abstract

Language acquisition is one of the interesting things to study. The language acquisition of each child cannot be equated with each other even though they are in the same period of development. This study aims to describe the phonemes that are spoken by children who are in the period of early lingual development (ages 1- 2.5 years). The method used in this study is a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The data in this study are derived from the speech of two children who are in the period of early lingual development. Data was collected by recording children's expressions and taking notes in a note. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion it is known that children in the period of early lingual development have been able to pronounce the phonemes of language. All vowel phonemes [a], [i], [u], [e], [o] have been pronounced well. While the consonant phonemes are pronounced only phonemes [b], [c], [d], [h], [j], [k], [l], [m], [n], [p], [s] , [t], [w], [ŋ], and [ň]. Some of the phonemes spoken by these children have been pronounced well and some are still not right. The sequence of acquisition of these phonemes has followed the sequence of universally applicable phonological acquisition. Every child gets different sounds even though they are in the same period of development.

Abstract

Pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia Kurikulum 2013 yang akan dipelajari oleh siswa SMP salah satunya yaitu teks deskripsi. Teks deskripsi adalah jenis teks memaparkan suatu objek, hal dan keadaan sehingga pembaca seolah-olah mendengar melihat, atau merasakan hal yang dipaparkan. Dalam menulis teks deskripsi harus memperhatikan struktur dan kaidah kebahasaan teks deskripsi yang telah ditetapkan, agar menghasilkan suatu teks deskripsi yang padu dan utuh. Di dalam menulis teks deskripsi peserta didik masih mengalami kesulitan dalam penulisan kaidah  kebahasaann yang masih kurang. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model Explicit Instruction terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi siswa SMP. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode eksperimen. Desain penelitian ini adalah one group pretets-postest design penelitian ini dilakukan sebanyak dua kali sebelum diberikan perlakuan dan sesudah diberikan perlakuan. Teknik pengambilan sampel penelitian ini dengan teknik purposive sampling, Sampel dalam penelitian  ini adalah satu kelas. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes unjuk kerja hasil keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model pembelajaran Explicit Instruction terhadap keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi  siswa SMP. Hasil penelitiannya adalah ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara model pembelajaran dengan hasil keterampilan menulis teks berita sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model Explicit Instruction terhadap Keterampilan Menulis Teks deskripsi Siswa SMP. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil penelitian yang menunjukkan bahwa nilai thitung > ttabel (> 1,90), sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Hal itu berarti model pembelajaran explicit instruction efektif digunakan dalam keterampilan menulis teks deskripsi siswa SMP.

Abstract

Learning English, especially speaking skills, requires a variety of accurate strategies. The aim is to make it easier for students to learn English, the more ways they can learn it the easier it is to master it. However, it is important to remember that learning English is not learning knowledge that requires high logical reasoning, memorizing formulas, mastering tenses, grammar, and formal English grammar, and so on. But learning English is nothing more than a skill that is continuously practiced until it is accustomed, any language learned requires the practice of speaking the language learned.

Abstract

This training is aimed at class XII language students at the State University of Padang State University Laboratory Development High School. The method used is the lecture and discussion method. The material presented aims to introduce students that BIPA is teaching Indonesian as a foreign language and not a second language. Indonesian is taught so that foreigners can live and suevive in Indonesian nature and culture. One of the frameworks is the CEFR (Common European Frame of Reference) for language. In BIPA learning, there are several things that must be considered between BIPA learning strategies and media. The discussion method is also used for questions and answers with students related to their understanding of the material that has been delivered.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the following problems. First, students are still not skilled in writing the Observation Result Report text. Second, the difficulty in determining the existing structure in the text of the Observation Result Report. This study aims to describe the effect of using the Think Pair Share learning model on the Ability to Write Text on Observation Results of Class VII Students of SMP N 5 Koto XI Tarusan. This type of research is quantitative research. The sample in this study were students of class VII SMP N 5 Koto XI Tarusan, totaling 26 people. The data in this study were the score of the ability to write text on the Observation Result Report before using the Think Pair Share Model and the score for the ability to write the text of the Observation Result Report after using the Think Pair Share learning model for seventh grade students of SMP N 5 Koto XI Tarusan. The results of this study can be concluded as follows. First, the ability to write a text report on the observation results of class VII students of SMP N 5 Koto XI Tarusan before using the Think Pair and Share learning model obtained an average score of 74.35 with a qualification of more than more than enough (LdC). Second, the ability to write a text report on the observation results of class VII students of SMP N 5 Koto XI Tarusans, after using the Think Pair and Share learning model, got an average score of 80.76 with good qualifications (B). Third, based on the results of the t-test, it was obtained tcount> ttable (2.18> 1.71). So, it can be concluded that the use of the Think Pair and Share learning model has an effect on the ability to write a text on the observation report of grade VII students of SMP N 5 Koto XI Tarusan

Abstract

Indonesian language learning Curriculum 2013 which will be studied by junior high school students is one of them is description text. Description text is a type of text describing an object, a thing and a situation so that the reader seems to hear seeing, or feeling the things described. In writing description text, it must pay attention to the structure and rules of language of the description text that have been set, so as to produce a solid and intact description text. In writing the description text students still experience difficulties in writing language rules that are still lacking. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using the Explicit Instruction model on the description of writing skills in junior high school students. This type of research is quantitative research using the experimental method. The design of this study was one group pretets-posttest design of this study conducted twice before being given treatment and after being given treatment. The sampling technique of this study was purposive sampling technique, the sample in this study was one class. The data in this study is a performance test results of the description text writing skills before and after using the Explicit Instruction learning model for the description skills of text writing for junior high school students. The results of his research are that there is a significant effect between the learning model and the results of the news text writing skills before and after using the Explicit Instructionmodel on Writing Skills. Text description for Junior High School Students. This is evidenced by the results of research that show that the value of tcount> t table (> 1.90), so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. That means the explicit instruction learning model is effectively used in the description writing skills of junior high school students.

Abstract

This research is motivated by a cultural shift that is influenced by cultural development due to globalization.novel as one of the representations of society culture can be a benchmark in seeing the culture shift. The novel "Ketika Merah Putih Terkoyak" saw the development of culture with a different point of view by displaying a living story. Through this work, the author hopes that the young generation, especially the Minangkabau generation, know that great history has occurred in Minangkabau, and Minangkabau has been the center of the Indonesian government, and regional autonomy has actually been a part of history in Minangkabau. The author's hope in this case is not too exaggerated because according to what is expressed by Atmazaki (2005: 73) that the writing of literature is always interesting with the writing of history. Although many scholars claim that literary works cannot be the main ingredient of historical writing, but literary works cannot be ignored by historians. Literary works can be a reflection of the development of culture for the community can be learning materials for learners to understand the culture of a nation.

Abstract

Asosiasi Pengajar Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (APBIPA) awal mulanya berdiri pada November 1999 setelah penyelenggaran konferensi Internasional pengajaran BIPA (KIPBIPA) ke-3 di IKIP Bandung. Seiring perkembangan waktu, APBIPA berubah menjadi Asosiasi Pengajar dan Pegiat Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing (APPBIPA) pada rapat pengurusan APPBIPA pada periode 2015-2019 yang diselenggarakan di Jakarta. APPBIPA adalah organisasi profesi yang beranggotakan pengajar BIPA dan pegiat BIPA  baik di Indonesia maupun luar Indonesia. Misi utama APPBIPA adalah memartabatkan bahasa Indonesia dan memperkenalkan bahasa dan budaya Indonesia kepada orang asing. Dalam rangka perayaan hari jadi ke-21 APPBIPA pusat mengikutsertakan seluruh cabang (dalam dan luar negeri) untuk berpartisipasi dan berkolaborasi dalam rangka pesta akademia 21 tahun APPBIPA. APPBIPA Sumatera Barat berkolaborasi dengan APPBIPA Bali untuk mengikuti lomba pengajaran bahasa dan lomba pengajaran budaya dan pengetahuan umum tentang Indonesia dengan tema “Lingkungan hidup” untuk tingkatan pemelajar B1.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kebutuhan pengembangan bahan ajar berupa modul pembelajaran merancang proposal karya ilmiah berbasis Project Based Learning untuk siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Geringging. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif yang berorientasi pada pengembangan suatu produk. Subjek penelitian ini yaitu seorang guru bahasa Indonesia dan 26 siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Geringging. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara dan penyebaran angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Analysisi Interactive Miles-Huberman yang terdiri dari tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini diantaranya sebagai berikut. 1) Kurikulum yang berlaku di SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Geringging adalah kurikulum 2013 edisi revisi 2018. 2) Analisis karakteristik siswa didasarkan pada usia dan kebutuhan siswa terhadap bahan ajar. Rata-rata usia siswa kelas XI adalah 16-18 tahun yang berada pada tahap operasional formal. Selain itu, siswa juga membutuhkan bahan ajar tambahan yang menuntun mereka merancang proposal karya ilmiah secara bertahap. 3) Hasil analisis materi menunjukkan bahwa materi utama teks proposal yang disajikan dalam modul meliputi pengertian proposal, ciri-ciri proposal, jenis-jenis proposal, sistematika proposal dan kaidah kebahasaan proposal. 4) Hasil perumusan tujuan pembelajaran yakni siswa mampu merancang proposal karya ilmiah dengan memerhatikan informasi, tujuan dan esensi karya ilmiah yang diperlukan. Berdasarkan analisis kebutuhan yang telah dilakukan, modul pembelajaran berbasis Project Based Learning dapat dikembangkan di SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Geringging, dengan tetap berpedoman atau mengacu pada analisis kebutuhan yang telah dilakukan.
