Abstract

Information related to the prevalence and intensity of para-sites in an aquatic environment is crucial as preventive and responsive efforts to manage aquatic resources, especially for fish farming pur-poses. Up to now, information related to the prevalence and intensity of ectoparasites on catfish from aquaculture ponds in Aceh Besar Dis-trict is rare. This study aims to investigate the prevalence, intensity, and dominance of ectoparasites on catfish from aquaculture ponds in Aceh Besar district. The total of 200 catfish from four research stations at Sibreh, Kareung, Lambaro, and Limpok was observed in this study. The ectoparasites observation was focused on the skin, fins, and gill of the catfish. The observation parameter consists of prevalence, in-tensity, domination, length-weight relationship, and condition factor. Identification result showed that there were four types of ectoparasites infect the catfish in the aquaculture ponds in Aceh Besar District i.e Trichodina sp., Gyrodactylus sp., Dactylogyrus sp. and Ichthyopthyri-us multifiliis. Station 3 (Lambaro) had the highest prevalence and in-tensity, which were 64% and 5.87 ectoparasites/fish, respectively. In-fected catfish tended to have a lower weight growth than healthy catfish.

Abstract

TPA Gampong Jawa, Banda Aceh City with ± 21 ha of land area, has implemented a sanitary landfill operation system. Leachate has the potential to have a negative impact on the quality of well water around the landfill. The purpose of this study is to predict the operational life of TPA Gampong Jawa through waste reduction efforts, knowing what units must be considered in the landfill closure, knowing the effect of leachate  on well water quality and knowing the potential use of former landfill in the future. The analysis was carried out by linking the existing conditions in accordance with Permen PU No.3 / PRT / M / 2013, while the Pollution Index (IP) value was analyzed based on KepmenLH No.115 of 2003 by taking a sampling of 4 wells with varying distances. The operational life of TPA Gampong Jawa with the effort to reduce waste by 12% can be extended to 2026 in April 30th day with a volume of 1,603,481 m3. The IP value for Gampong Jawa 1 TPA well is 5.25 and the Java Gampong TPA 2 well is both 5.39 are included in the category of medium polluted, for well water 1 resident's house has an IP value of 4.39 and well 2 resident's wells have IP value amounted to 3.43, both of which are included in the category of mild pollution.

Abstract

Kopelma Darussalam is an education center in The Aceh Province which has the area of ​​206.2 hectares. There are 6 schools and 2 nerby public universities (Ar-Raniry State Islamic University and Syiah Kuala University) in the region. Transportation activities in Kopelma Darussalam remarkably can increase noise level primarily during studying and working hours. The purpose of this research is to determine the noise level and to map the noise distribution in Kopelma Darussalam. The mapping is created by using Surfer 13 software. This methode of this study is quantitative descriptive research. Primary data is obtained by using a Sound Level Meter (SLM) to measure noise levels on weekdays and holidays both outsides and indoors at 8 sampling locations. The data is then analyzed by using statistical equations provided by Decree of the State Minister of the Environment KEP-48/MENLH/11/1996. The results shows that the noise level at Kopelma Darussalam is in a noisy condition as it ultimately has exceeded the quality standard of 55 dBA, especially on weekdays at 2.00 to 5.00 p.m. The map of noise distribution at Kopelma Darussalam shows that the highest noise is coloured in red (≥ 67 dBA). This value has exceeded the quality standard which leads lecturers and students necessarily to speak louder in classrooms. Keywords: Noise, transportation, motor vehicle, mapping, Surfer 13.

Abstract

The unavailability of drinking water supply system, made the community set up a community-based clean water management system independently. The purpose of the study is the to determine the existing conditions in two community-based clean water supply systems at the Bukit District and to determine water quality in terms Regulation of the Minister of Health of Rebublic of Indonesia No 32 of 2017. The method used in this study are field including collecting water sample which will be analyzed in Laboratorium of UPTD Center For Health Laboratorium and Healty Equipment Testing, besides interviews with the authority. The research location is the villages of Bale Atu and Hakim Tunggul Naru. The parameters tested are physical (odor, taste, temperature, turbidity, dissolved solid), chemical (pH, iron, fluoride, cadmium, hardness, chloride, manganese, zinc, cyanide, lead and organic matter) and biological cell (Total Coliform and Escherichia coli), which are taken from eigth sampling point. The results physical and chemical parameters are in accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Health of Rebublic of Indonesia. Biological parameters in the intake point of Bale Atu village were not found to contain Total Coliform and Escherichia coli, while at the intake point of Hakim Tunggul Naru there were Escherichia coli bacteria. To improve the community-based clean water supply system at Bukit District, a treatment disinfection treatment using chlor 36 kg/day is recommended.

Abstract

One solution for domestic waste treatment is the operation of a communal IPAL (WWTP, Wastewater Treatment Plant). This is in accordance with SDG's (Sustainable Development Goals), national and regional policies related to sustainable sanitation management. In Banda Aceh, the Sanimas (Community sanitation) program has been and is being implemented in 40 gampongs (villages) which are classified as slum areas. This study aims to determine the results of the effluent processing of the IPAL system (pH, BOD, COD, TSS, ammonia, Total Coliform, Oil/Fat parameters) to see whether the IPAL system that has been built is operating properly. There were five IPALs studied, namely in Gampong Peunayong (Dusun Cendrawasih), Gampong Tibang (Dusun Tgk. Meurah, Dusun Tgk Meulinje, Dusun Tengku Meulagu), and Gampong Panteriek (Dusun Jeumpa). The results of the effluent wastewater test showed that in all WWTPs, the BOD and COD parameters still exceeded the wastewater quality standards, and in one WWTP, the total Coliform parameter was >1,000/100 ml (quality standard >3,000/100 ml).

Abstract

Kinematics of Free Fall Motion (FFM) is one of the important chpaters in physics courses. However, the Physics Laboratory at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, State Polytechnic of Sriwijaya does not have practical tools of FFM yet. This study aims to design and determine the performance of the FFM physics lab based on the Internet of Things (IoT). This research method uses qualitative method and experimental approach. This physics lab is afterward compared to theoretical calculations from the FFM formula by testing it at 3 falling heights of 100 cm, 130 cm, and 150 cm, as well as at 3 different masses of 100 g, 200 g, and 500 g. All data collected need to be analyzed using ANOVA of linear regression to obtain the level of accuracy and the relationship between falling heights and masses towards final velocities of the test objects. The results of the study shows that the development of the lab physics FFM IoT-based has very decent performance as long as the average error percentage is 5.52% or less than 10% as well as the level of average accuracy level is 94.48%. The results of the analysis showed that falling heights have a significant effect towards final velocities of the FFM’s test objects. On the other hand, variety of masses barely has no effect towards final velocities of the physics lab.

Abstract

This research develops an IoT-based calorimeter practical tool using the ESP8266 module and the Blynk application to increase the accuracy and efficiency of heat transfer measurements. This tool utilizes the DS18B20 and DHT11 sensors to measure temperature and humidity in real-time, with data sent via the Blynk application. Test results show that this tool has high accuracy and is superior to conventional calorimeters in terms of efficiency and ease of use. ANOVA analysis indicated that the temperature of the liquid had a significant influence on the measurement results, while the type of solid did not show a significant influence. This tool is expected to improve the quality of learning and research in the field of physics

Abstract

Teknik Mesin memerlukan pemahaman mendalam tentang fisika, terutama konsep Gerak Lurus Berubah Beraturan (GLBB), yang penting untuk berbagai aplikasi dalam desain dan analisis mekanisme.Tujuan penelitian ini untuk pengembangan alat pratikum gerak lurus berubah beraturan teknik mesin. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan juni dan juli 2023. Pengujian dengan cara experimen dan terdapat 12 sampel pada penelitian yang dianalisa menggunakan metode Research and development. Penelitian ini mengevaluasi kinerja alat praktikum Gerak Lurus Berubah Beraturan (GLBB) dengan membandingkan hasil pengukuran dari alat dengan perhitungan teoritis pada berbagai sudut kemiringan (0°, 15°, 30°, 45°) dan jarak tetap 80 cm. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan percepatan yang meningkat dari 0,551 m/s² pada sudut 0° hingga 6,996 m/s² pada sudut 45°, sementara waktu tempuh menurun dari 1,74 detik pada sudut 0° menjadi 0,48 detik pada sudut 45°. Validasi perhitungan menunjukkan perbedaan percepatan hanya sebesar 0,003 m/s² dengan persentase perbedaan 0,547%, dan perbedaan waktu sebesar 0,032 detik dengan persentase 1,872%, yang menandakan akurasi tinggi dari alat yang didesain ulang. Selain itu, tingkat ketelitian alat juga tinggi, dengan taraf ketelitian sebesar 98,75% untuk pengukuran sudut 0°, mendukung efektivitas alat dalam mengukur variabel GLBB dengan akurasi dan ketelitian yang baik. Dianjurkan untuk melakukan pengembangan lanjutan pada alat praktikum GLBB dengan mengoptimalkan desain, menggunakan bahan dan sensor berpresisi tinggi, serta melakukan pengujian pada berbagai sudut kemiringan, jarak tempuh, dan variasi massa benda untuk meningkatkan akurasi dan keandalan alat dalam berbagai kondisi eksperimental.

Abstract

In this analysis, a quantitative research methodology is used to test which is better the roughness and hardness values of both cryogenic and dromus coolant cooling methods for the manufacture of chuck locks on lathes with AISI 1045 steel material. As well as using the ANOVA analysis method to process the results. And from the results of the measurement using the Surface Roughness Tester roughness test tool carried out, can be concluded that the chuck lock made on a lathe using the cryogenic cooling method has a smaller roughness value, namely at the N7 level, while the dromus coolant method at the N9 level according to the ISO or DIN 4763:1981 roughness standard, which means that the chuck lock that goes through the cooling process with the cryogenic method can produce a smoother surface than the surface that using the Dromus Coolant cooling method. And from Vickers testing can be concluded that cooling with the liquid nitrogen cryogenic method can increase the hardness of the chuck lock with AISI 1045 steel material, namely dromus coolant (10.62%) and cryogenic (14.64%).

Abstract

Friction Force on An Inclined Plane (FFIP) is one of the important chpaters in physics courses. This study aims to develop and determine the performance of the lab physics lab based on the Internet of Things (IoT). This research method uses qualitative method and experimental approach. This physics lab is afterward compared to theoretical calculations from the FFIP formula by using tests at 3 inclined plane’s angles of 30o, 45o, and 60o, as well as at 2 distances of 40 cm and 70 cm. The data were analyzed using ANOVA of simple linear regression to obtain the level of accuracy and the relationship between the inclined plane’s angles and the distance towards the kinetic friction coefficient of the test objects. The results of the study shows that the development of the lab physics FFIP IoT-based has very decent performance as long as the error percentage (average) is 4.77% or less than 10% as well as the level of accuracy (average) is 95.23%. The results of the analysis showed that the inclined plane’s angles have a significant effect towards the kinetic friction coefficient of the test objects. On the other hand, the distance barely has no effect towards the kinetic friction coefficient.
