Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis keterampilan metakognitif peserta didik Program Studi IPA, Universitas Trunojoyo Madura. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei. Populasi penelitian merupakan seluruh peserta didik aktif Angkatan 2021− 2018 Program Studi Pendidikan IPA yang berjumlah 463 peserta didik. Digunakan stratified propotional random sampling sebagai teknik sampling, jumlah sampel tersebar tiap angkatan dengan total sebanyak 186 peserta didik. MAI (Metacognitive Awarness Inventory) merupakan cara untuk mengukur kesadaran metakognisi, yang meliputi pengetahuan kognisi dan regulasi kognisi. Subindikator pengetahuan kognisi pengetahuan deklaratif, prosedural, dan kondisional, kemudian subindikator perencanaan, strategi manajemen informasi, monitoring pemahaman, strategi prediksi serta evaluasi sebagai subindikator regulasi kognisi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif penelitian menunjukan 70,13% peserta didik memiliki kesadaran metakognisi dengan kategori baik. Indikator pengetahuan kognisi peserta didik dalam kategori baik dengan presentase 70,06%, pada subindikator pengetahuan deklaratif kategori baik dengan presentase 70,05%, pengetahuan proseduraal 69,50% termasuk kategori baik, pengetahuan kondisional 70,64% kategori baik. Indikator regulasi kognisi peserta didik menunjukan presentase 70,17% termasuk dalam kategori baik, dengan subindikator perencanaan 70,80%, strategi manajemen informasi 65,03%, monitoring pemahaman 71,29%, strategi prediksi 73,64% serta evaluasi sebesar 70,08% dengan kategori baik pada tiapsub indikator.Kata kunci: keterampilan metakognisi, pengetahuan metakognisi, regulasi metakognisi, Metacognitive, Awarness Inventory The purpose of this study is to analyze the metacognitive skills of students of the Science Study Program, Trunojoyo University, Madura using a survey method. The research population is all active students of the 2021−2018 Science Education Study Program, totaling 463 students. Stratified proportional random sampling as a sampling technique, the number of samples is spread over each batch with a total of 186 students. Schraw and Dennison (1994) developed the MAI (Metacognitive Awareness Inventory) which can be used to measure metacognitive awareness, which includes knowledge of cognition and regulation of cognition. Cognitive knowledge sub-indicators declarative, procedural, and conditional knowledge, then planning, information management strategies, understanding monitoring, prediction strategies, and evaluation as cognition regulation sub-indicators. Data analysis using quantitative descriptive analysis showed that 70.13% of students had a good category. The indicator of cognitive knowledge with good category with a percentage of 70.06%, declarative knowledge good category with percentage 70.05%, procedural knowledge 69.50% is good category, conditional knowledge 70.64% with good category. The indicator of student cognition regulation shows a percentage of 70.17% included with good category, with planning 70.80%, information management strategy 65.03%, monitoring understanding 71.29%, predictive strategy 73.64%, and evaluation 70.08 % with good category in each sub-indicator.Keywords: metacognitive skills, metacognitive knowledge, regulation of metacognition, Metacognitive, Awareness Inventory

Abstract

Learning by applying games will attract students attention. This research developed the UNO card game that used the concept of elemental chemistry, especially the main groups. Each card will have a bar code that contains information links related to the elements on the card. The product integrated with the values of Madura local wisdom. The process of making elemental chemistry UNO card media used the ADDIE development model. The trial was conducted on 25 students of class XII in one of the MA and SMA in Sampang and Pamekasan districts. The results of the validation of the UNO card for chemistry elements in the media aspect obtained an average of 96.09 (very valid) and the material aspect obtained an average of 91.70 (very valid). very good category with a value of 93 percent ease of obtaining indicators, 91 percent interest, and 87 percent usefulness. The results of the average percentage of high school students’ responses after using the elemental chemistry UNO card media obtained a very good category with an indicator value of 79 percent ease of obtaining, 80 percent interest, and 84 percent usefulness. Elementary chemistry UNO card learning media can make it easier for students to learn elemental chemistry.

Abstract

Critical thinking is one of the skills needed to face life's challenges. The SETS learning model is centered on surrounding problems by integrating the four elements of SETS, while BYOD can be used to complete tasks anywhere and anytime. The integration of SETS and BYOD is expected to be able to increase students’ critical thinking skills on vibration and wave study. This study aims to determine the improvement of students' critical thinking skills by implementing the SETS model Integrated with BYOD on vibration and wave study for class VIII SMP. The research method used in this study is a quasi-experimental research design with a nonequivalent control group design which was carried out at SMP Negeri 1 Lenteng, Sumenep Regency, for the 2021/2022 Academic Year. Hypothesis testing using the Mann-Whitney test, and analysis of increased students' critical thinking skills using the N-Gain Score test. The results showed that the implementation of the learning implementation of SETS model Integrated with BYOD was a very good category. The implementation of the SETS model Integrated with BYOD affects student’s critical thinking skills. The increase in students' critical thinking skills based on the N-Gain Score test in the experimental class is a medium category, while the control class is a low category. The results of the student response questionnaire to the implementation of the SETS model Integrated with BYOD are in the good category. This study concludes that the implementation of the SETS model Integrated with BYOD on vibration and wave study can make students increase critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sebelum dan setelah penerapan model project based learning dengan pendekatan Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM ). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di MTs. Al Asyhar Gresik. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling, yakni siswa kelas VIII A. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pre-experimental design dengan One group pretest-posttest design. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kuantitatiflitatif  dengan pengumpulan data berupa observasi, tes, angket, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan uji non parametrik (Uji Wilcoxon). Kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa sebelum dan setelah penerapan project based learning dengan pendekatan STEAM cukup signifikan. Hasil persentase rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada pretest sebesar 35,45% dengan kategori rendah. Hasil persentase rata-rata kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada posttest sebesar 62,73% dengan kategori tinggi. Kata Kunci: Berpikir Kritis, Project Based Learning, STEAM   This study aims to determine the differences in students’ critical thinking ability before and after the implementation of project-based learning with the STEAM approach. This study was conducted in MTs Al Asyhar Gresik. Purposive sampling was used on class VIII-A students as a sampling technique. The research method used in this study was a pre-experimental design with one group pretest-posttest design. This research employed quantitative research with data collection of observation, tests, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis technique used a non-parametric test (Wilcoxon test). The student’s critical thinking ability before and after the implementation of project-based learning with the STEAM approach is quite significant. The result average percentage of students’ critical thinking ability on the pretest was 35,45% in the low category. On the other hand, the average percentage of students’ critical thinking ability in the post-test was 62,73% in the high category. Keywords: Critical Thinking, Project Based Learning, STEAM.

Abstract

This development research aims to determine the feasibility, student responses and produce products for integrated science module media based on mixed separation ethnoscience themes. This research is a development research that uses the 4D development modelconsisting of(Define, Design, Develop andDisseminate).However, this development only reached the development stage. The data collection technique in this research is using a questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that the integrated IPA module based on ethnoscience of mixed separation themes that was developed is included in the criteria for use, judging from the results of media expert validation of 84.37 %, media expert reliability of 92.72, material expert validation of 89.17 %, material expert reliability as big as 96.19 %. These results get a positive response so that it can be said that the integrated science module based on ethnoscience with mixed separation themes is suitable for use by seventh grade junior high school students.
