Abstract

Analysis of Occupational Health and Safety Risks in Forging Forging Lines Using the SWIFT (The Structured What If) Method At PT. XYZ. PT. XYZ is a manufacturing company engaged in the production of household appliances such as spoons, forks and knives. During the second quarter of 2021, the number of work accident cases that occurred was 10 cases. For this reason, it is necessary to conduct research that aims to minimize the risk of hazards that occur in the forging line using the SWIFT method. The results of the study contained 13 potential hazards with a classification based on the RRN value of 2 including low priority categories, 6 medium priority categories, 5 risks in the main priority categories. The improvement recommendations given can reduce the risk of work accidents from the previous 13 risks of work accidents with categories of 2 mild risk, 6 moderate risk, and 5 severe risk, now to 2 mild risk, 11 moderate risk and 0 severe risk.

Abstract

The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic has created many new habits, rapid changes in information have made the need for the use of computers and electronic devices important for society and entrepreneurs. PT. RSS is engaged in the procurement of goods, maintenance, telecommunication services and event management. When workers carry out the maintenance process by cleaning hardware devices, non-ergonomic work positions are identified. This working position results in complaints of pain in the worker's body which results in a reduced number of hardware products being cleaned. Complaints experienced by workers can cause long-term illness and Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs). This research was conducted to help workers/technicians when cleaning hardware is more ergonomic. Data collection was carried out by observing the body position of 5 workers while cleaning the hardware. This research begins by identifying problems using the NBM method. Then analyze worker posture using RULA and Anthropometry. The results of the analysis of this study are that work aids are needed so that workers are more ergonomic. The tools needed are to design and make an ergonomic workbench according to the dimensions of the worker's body. The table measures 167.2 cm long, 104.2 cm high and 73.4 cm wide. Evaluation of the results showed complaints of pain in the workers' bodies decreased. Complaints of workers' bodies before using the workbench have a value of 7 or the "Very High" category then drop to 4 or the "Moderate" category using the RULA assessment.

Abstract

An organization wants its business journey to run smoothly, but sometimes there are obstacles from the different nature of employees. The great influence of employee character starts from self-efficacy, work motivation, work discipline and employee performance. The purpose of this research is to build a research hypothesis on the influence of exogenous variables, namely self-efficacy and work motivation on the endogenous variables of work discipline and employee performance. This research method uses Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with secondary data taken from several collections of articles related to these variables. This study has found that there is a positive mutually influencing relationship between variables, among which self-efficacy influences work discipline, work motivation influences work discipline, self-efficacy influences employee performance, work motivation influences employee performance, and work discipline influences on employee performance. This research has resulted in several studies of 10 articles which have provided scientific decisions. The contribution of this research is expected to provide convenience for other researchers who will develop their scientific work with a similar theme in the future.

Abstract

One of the companies in East Bekasi is a company engaged in the bread industry, with the product being sandwiches. The purpose of this research is to perform raw material efficiency and cost savings of raw material inventory. In this study, identified the bread production process for 1 period (3 months). It is known that this company ordered raw materials, namely 2100 kg of flour and 480 kg of granulated sugar. However, in reality, only 1537 kg of wheat flour was used and 379 kg of granulated sugar. There is a difference between ordering raw materials and using raw materials so that the costs incurred in carrying out raw material inventory exceed the limits of the costs that have been determined by the company. The method used is the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method. The goal is to control the number of raw material orders made by this company and indirectly to save raw material inventory costs. The findings are comparing calculations by companies using EOQ, the efficiency of raw materials after using the EOQ method for wheat flour is 542 kg and granulated sugar is 93 kg and savings in raw material inventory costs for wheat flour is Rp. 156,437 and granulated sugar is Rp. 212,092.

Abstract

The production process for making sauces requires a performance appraisal so that the results are effective and efficient. In production, performance problems sometimes occur, such as low productivity and accidents. The relationship between employee performance, such as work safety greatly affects work productivity. The purpose of this study was to analyze the performance of K3 which includes the Frequency Rate (FR), Severity Rate (SR), and T-Safety Value (NTS) so that it will produce how big the relationship is between the accident rate and work productivity. This study uses the Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) method where to build an FTA flowchart, it is necessary to identify work accident data, build a safety tree, measure work productivity, and draw conclusions. This research has produced several analyzes using FTA where the FR, SR, and NTS levels can already be known. The results of measuring the FR value show a decrease in the frequency of disability injuries and the severity of work accidents from year to year, there is a decrease from year to year. This research has also succeeded in increasing employee work productivity due to the low value of the FR and SR levels each year. If linked to NTS, every year the relationship between work safety and productivity will improve. So from the results of this analysis, there is a relationship between the frequency of work accidents and the level of work productivity that occurs in the production process.

Abstract

Usaha Mikro, Kecil Dan Menengah Retail PT Mitra  Indonesia merupakan usaha retail perdagangan yang melakukan aktivitas dagang kebutuhan konsumsi utama masyarakat. Berdasarkan wawancara dan observasi di Usaha Mikro, Kecil Dan Menengah Retail PT Mitra  Indonesia, Operasional usaha mereka terganggu akibat adanya penerbitan Peraturan Pemerintah tentang Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar dan himbauan pemerintah untuk physical distancing. Selama ini Usaha Mikro, Kecil Dan Menengah Retail PT Mitra  Indonesia memiliki alur pelayanan secara tatap muka langsung dengan pelanggan, dimana saat aturan Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar dan phsycal distancing ini dijalankan maka alur pelayanan akan terganggu. Tahapan yang dilakukan terkait pelaksanaan Pengabdian Kepada masyarakat mencakup tahapan Observasi & Focus Group Discussion (Tahap 1). Pada tahap ini, dilakukan peninjauan langsung untuk menganalisis Situasi dan kondisi mitra akan kebutuhan pembinaan dan alih teknologi yang bermanfaat untuk media pelatihan dan menentukan jenis materi yang akan disosialisasikan sehingga menghasilkan perbaikan terhadap proses aktifitas usaha. Fokus penyuluhan fokus tentang operasional bisnis yang adaptif dan patuh terhadap Peraturan Pemerintah tentang Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar dan himbauan pemerintah untuk physical distancing. Yang kedua penyuluhan mengenai penggunaan teknologi smart conveyor untuk operasional bisnis baru. Tahap 2, berikutnya alih teknologi penggunaan meja smart conveyor. Terdiri dari Tahapan Persiapan Kegiatan berupa pembuatan meja smart conveyor. Proses Pembuatan meja smart conveyor mengikuti fase 1 Analisis, fase 2 Desain Product, Fase 3 Perakitan, dan Fase 4 Uji Coba. Tahapan Implementasi (Tahap 3) berupa penyuluhan model operasional bisnis baru dan pembinaan cara penggunaan meja smart conveyor. Penyuluhan mengenai model operasional bisnis baru dilakukan dengan dasar adanya Peraturan Pemerintah tentang Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar dan Himbauan Phsysical Distancing, sehingga diperlukan adanya adaptasi operasional bisnis. Adaptasi operasional bisnis baru diusulkan dengan mengubah cara transaksi menjadi 2 jenis. Yang pertama alur online, dan yang kedua alur offline. Tahapan yang terakhir yaitu Alih Teknologi dan Evaluasi (Tahap 4). Pada tahap ini pelaksanaan kegiatan dievaluasi oleh tim dan melihat apa saja kendala dan masalah yang muncul di lapangan. Kemudian dilakukan evaluasi apabila memang muncul kendala dan masalah untuk selanjutnya dicarikan solusi agar kegiatan tetap berlangsungdengan baik sesuai yang diharapkan.

Abstract

Salah satu proses pekerjaan yang berbahaya dan berpotensi terjadi kecelakaan kerja adalah proses pembuatan konveyor. Perusahaan pembuat konveyor tersebut belum mempunyai tindakan pengendalian kecelakaan dan belum adanya instruksi kerja di area proses pembuatan conveyor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis kecelakaan kerja pada proses pembuatan konveyor dan  memberikan usulan pengendalian sumber bahaya untuk menurunkan atau menghilangkan tingkat risiko kecelakaan yang terdapat pada proses pembuatan konveyor. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah menggunakan analisis Hazard Identification Risk Assessment Determining Control (HIRADC) dengan penerapan ISO 45001 (2018). Penelitian ini telah menemukan adanya 16 potensi bahaya dengan rincian 3 potensi bahaya tinggi, 6 potensi bahaya sedang dan 7 potensi bahaya rendah merupakan data sebelum perbaikan. Sesudah melakukan tindakan perbaikan maka menghasilkan 16 potensi bahaya rendah, artinya ada penurunan tingkat risiko kecelakaan dari tingkat tinggi dan menengah ke tingkat rendah. Usulan perbaikan dalam pengendalian pada setiap masing-masing potensi bahaya diantaranya pengendalian teknis, pengendalian administratif dan penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD). Solusi lain dalam pengurangan kecelakaan kerja yaitu membuat Instruksi Kerja (IK) dalam tindakan safety pada proses pembuatan konveyot. Agar terciptanya kesadaran dan pencegahan kecelakaan kerja maka perusahaan rutin memberikan sosialisasi tentang Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) setiap 4 bulan sekali.
