Abstract

ABSTRAK The goal of this research is to describe and to explain the integrated marketing communication strategic od Go-Jek Branch Bali in establishing brand awareness among the expatriate. This research uses descriptive qualitative approach. Informants are chosen by purposive technique and snowball. The data obtained through interview, direct observation, and documentation study. As for the analysis techniques used in this research is through several step, which is data reduction, presentation, and conclusion. The results showed that Go-Jek Branch Bali uses the integrated marketing communication strategy in establishing brand awareness among the expatriate. Although it has a diverse audience segmentation, Go-Jek Branch Bali using the similar integrated marketing communication but adapted in terms of language. In addition, Go-Jek Branch Bali are focusing the marketing communication in digital by utilizing social media. In delivering the message, Go-Jek Branch Bali deliver a similar message to every communication channel but without including keywords so the message would look different. Abstract

ABSTRAK   Bali merupakan pulau yang kaya akan warisan budaya dan kesenian tradisional yang beragam. Salah satunya adalah alat komunikasi tradisional yaitu kulkul. Kulkul adalah alat komunikasi bagi organisasi tradisional Bali (desa adat, banjar adat, dan subak). Desa Pakraman Sukahet dan Desa Adat Kuta menjadi fokus pengamatan dalam penelitian ini dengan mengerucut kepada masing-masing satu banjar adatnya, yaitu Banjar Sari dan Banjar Pande Mas Kuta. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah ingin  mengetahui perkembangan penggunaan kulkul sebagai media komunikasi dalam desa pakraman di Bali dan ingin mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi keberadaan kulkul sebagai media komunikasi tradisional dalam desa pakraman di Bali. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus analisis situasional. Teknik analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis interactive model, Milles dan Huberman. Hasil pembahasan dalam penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa eksistensi kulkul di kedua desa adat tersebut masih terjaga dan masih aktif digunakan sesuai dengan fungsinya di tengah perkembangan globalisasi, khususnya perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi. Di samping pengunaan kulkul yang masih aktif, penggunaan kulkul bulus di Desa Adat Kuta sudah ditinggalkan. Penggunaan kulkul pemuda juga sudah tidak aktif lagi di Banjar Sari dan Banjar Pande Mas Kuta.   Kata kunci: Kulkul, Penggunaan kulkul, Desa pakraman, Desa adat

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana pembingkaian berita terkini Jokowi-Jusuf Kalla dalam Program Metro Hari Ini pada 100 hari kerjanya menggunakan analisis teks milik Robert Entman. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif studi kasus dengan paradigma konstruktivis. Data berita Metro Hari Ini periode 13 Januari-12 Februari 2015. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis framing model Robert Entman yang menyatakan bahwa setiap media mengkontruksi berita harus melalui dua tahap yaitu seleksi isu dan penonjolan aspek setelah itu menganalisis berita dengan 4 tahap, (1). Definisi masalah, (2) diagnose causes, (3) make moral judgement, dan (4) menekankan penyelesaian. Hasil penelitian ini adalah ada dua isu besar menjadi fokus Metro Hari Ini, yaitu berita konflik KPK-Polri dan eksekusi terpidana mati, MetroTV mendukung Budi Gunawan sebagai Kapolri, Metro Hari Ini menggambarkan bahwa adanya indikasi politik di balik penetapan Budi Gunawan sebagai tersangka oleh KPK, narkoba adalah musuh bersama, Metro Hari Ini mendukung pemerintah Jokowi-JK dalam mengeksekusi terpidana mati kasus narkoba. Abstract

Nowadays television has become the most favorite media. Watching television become ritual for the audiences. Television in fact have negative impact. Therefore, the aim of this research is to gain descriptive data about how is the pattern of television consumption in Denpasar. The research was quantitative research by using questionnaire. The research came out that audiences choose to watch television in finding information and entertainment. But Denpasar’s audiences were not categorizes in heavy viewers. The most favorite program is sinetron and news. For that television’s programs should be educated and informative.

Abstract

Cases of data breaches have occurred several times in Indonesia. One of the cases that is in the public spotlight is the data leak case carried out by a figure named “Bjorka”. This anonymous figure has carried out a series of data breaches involving public data and the personal data of state officials. The issue of data leakage then grew, and both print and online media outlets covered it extensively. This study tries to ascertain how the "Bjorka" case was covered by CNN Indonesia on September 12, 2022. In this study, the framing analysis technique developed by Robert N. Entman is used in a qualitative descriptive approach. On September 12, 2022, CNN Indonesia's online news service served as the research's data source. According to the study's findings, CNN Indonesia separated the three main concerns it used to shape the public's perceptions of the Bjorka case into three categories.

Abstract

Film is a mass communication medium that is audio-visual in nature and has the aim of conveying certain social and moral message to its audience. The ability of films to infulence audiences is widely used by filmmakers to provide moral message in their films. One of the films that conveys the moral content in it a film entitled “ Nanti Kita Cerita Tentang Hari Ini “. This paper explains in the meaning of morality in films using Roland Barthes’ semantic method. This method focuses on the idea of two levels in signification ( two order of signification ), namely denotation and connotation in the film. The meaning of morality in the film is attached to an urban family, which includes: responsibility, autonomous morality, justice, and mutual forgiveness Kata kunci: Film, Nanti Kita Cerita Tentang Hari Ini, Moral, Semiotics.

Abstract

This paper aims to conduct a theoretical review of the inclusiveness check feature in grammar-checking AI systems, such as those found in Grammarly and Microsoft Word. The examination of this inclusiveness check feature will involve the consideration of Politically Correct Language (PCL) and the theoretical debate surrounding it, and the process of semantic change. Drawing upon the author’s experience of using Grammarly as a writing assistant for her dissertation, this paper argues that such a feature should be critically addressed. It is suggested that these features effectively call out users for being politically incorrect and function as moral police for their way of expressing themselves.

Abstract

According to a survey conducted by the OECD in 2019 regarding the reading interest of generation Z in Indonesia 62 out of 70 countries. The emergence of this fact, accompanied by the development of today's technology, has encouraged many transitions in the existence of media that initially moved conventionally to digital in order to be able to reach a wider community in an unlimited manner. The analysis in this study is based on the S-O-R theory (Stimulus, Organism, Responsive), using explanatory quantitative methods with a sample size of 122 respondents. The results of this study state that the influence between @ussfeeds Instagram account content on reading interest among generation Z are strong, unidirectional, and in moderate level of relationship. These results show that the quality of content produced by digital media such as @ussfeeds is impacting the increase of reading interest, especially among generation Z.
