Abstract

The Forest Farmer Group (KTH) of honey bees plays a strategic role in supporting the economic development of rural communities while contributing to natural resource conservation and environmental preservation in Tabanan Regency, Bali Province. This dual role highlights the importance of KTH in community-based sustainable forest management. This study aims to evaluate the performance and sustainability level of the honey bee KTH across three key management aspects: Institutional Management, Area Management, and Business Management. Primary data were collected through in-depth interviews with key informants and focused group discussions (FGD) involving principal stakeholders engaged in forestry and beekeeping activities. Secondary data were obtained through literature reviews and various official publications. The analysis results indicate an overall sustainability score of 40.8, categorized as moderate sustainable. Specifically, the Institutional Management aspect scored 59.22 (moderate sustainable), while Area Management and Business Management scored 36.18 and 27, respectively, both classified as low sustainable. These findings suggest the need for targeted improvements, particularly in area and business management, to enhance overall sustainability.

Abstract

Sustainable regional development is closely linked to the crucial role of economic growth. With the implementation of regional autonomy, development in each region must align with its unique potential. Klungkung Regency has experienced fluctuating economic growth, often falling below the average growth rate of Bali Province over the past five years. The agricultural sector continues to be the main driver of the economy in Klungkung Regency. This study aims to identify the patterns and structure of economic growth in the food crop subsector, assess both its comparative and competitive advantages, and explore the sustainability prospects of key food crop commodities in the region. The research methods employed include Klassen Typology, Location Quotient (LQ), Shift Share Analysis (SSA), and Dynamic Location Quotient (DLQ), using time-series data from 2019-2023. The findings indicate that the food crop subsector in Klungkung Regency is classified as an advanced and rapidly growing sector. Commodities with comparative advantages include corn, soybeans, peanuts, and cassava, while those with competitive advantages include corn, cassava, and rice. Looking ahead, corn, soybeans, and cassava are expected to remain dominant commodities, while rice is considered a staple commodity, peanuts are seen as a promising commodity, and sweet potatoes are classified as a lagging commodity

Abstract

Kopi Langit Bali is a UMKM that produces processed Arabica coffee, including green beans, roasted beans, and ground coffee, using natural, honey, and full washed methods. During the production process, Kopi Langit Bali often faces challenges filled with uncertainty and needs to be wary of the potential risks in its production activities, thus requiring an early risk analysis to ensure business sustainability. This research aims to identify potential risks during the production process, analyze the severity, frequency, and detection capability of risks using the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) method, and formulate mitigation strategies to reduce potential risks. The research was conducted on the production process of Kopi Langit Bali in 2024. The research results show that there are 13 risk events and 13 risk agents in the production process. The highest risk in the Intolerable (INT) category has an RPN value of 775, and the lowest risk is in the Broadly Acceptable (BA) category with an RPN of 6. Two risk agents were identified as mitigation priorities because they fall into the INT and ALARP categories. Based on the analysis results, three main mitigation strategies have been formulated that can be applied by Kopi Langit Bali, including (1) implementing coffee planting patterns with shade to mitigate the impact of extreme weather, (2) maximizing drying capacity within the greenhouse, and (3) building affective commitment with freelance workers.

Abstract

PT Strawberry Corps Indonesia is one of the micro-scale MSMEs that has been incorporated as an Individual Company (PT). This research raises several issues, namely what are the risks that have the potential to arise, how to assess the level of risk, and what is the right mitigation strategy to deal with risks. This research aims to identify and determine potential risks, assess priority risks, and provide appropriate mitigation plans to overcome the risks contained in PT Strawberry Corps Indonesia. The method used is the Failure Mode and Effect Analisys (FMEA) method. There are 16 risk events contained in all stages of strawberry processed production activities. The highest risk falls into the Intolerable category with an RPN value of 448, and the lowest risk falls into the Broadly Acceptable category with an RPN value of 6. There are several risk mitigation plans related to the cause of the risk, namely: facilitating farmers to get education through cooperation with PPL and the Agriculture Office, coordinating or contracting with suppliers, recruiting part-time labor, maintaining the quality of raw materials by setting quality standards for raw materials, storing raw materials at a temperature of - 18°C and conducting routine checks on the cleanliness of equipment and production rooms before production.

Abstract

Social forestry refers to a forest management approach that grants lawful access to local communities for the sustainable use and stewardship of forest resources. This initiative aims to enhance local livelihoods while ensuring long-term environmental integrity. In Glagalinggah Village, the implementation of this program encounters several challenges, particularly in institutional and business governance aspects. These limitations hinder the performance of Forest Farmer Groups (KTH), which in turn obstruct the continuity of business operations and forest rehabilitation efforts. This research investigates the influence of institutional and business governance on KTH performance and the effectiveness of social forestry management. Employing a quantitative approach with SEM-PLS analysis, data were gathered from 70 KTH members. The findings reveal that while both types of governance significantly influence KTH performance, their direct impact on forest management effectiveness is not significant, establishing KTH performance as a full mediating variable. Business governance issues such as low member participation, limited access to capital, and insufficient technological application emerge as the primary barriers. The study highlights the need to strengthen governance capacity to improve group performance and ensure sustainable forest management outcomes. These insights can support local-level policy planning for more effective social forestry programs.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the characteristics of visitors to PT Bali Coklat Junglegold Bali and analyze the influence of price, product quality, and brand image on consumer satisfaction through purchase decision. This research employed a quantitative approach with Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). A sample of 100 respondents was selected using purposive sampling from visitors who had made repeated purchases. The results show that price, product quality, and brand image have a significant influence on purchase decision. Purchase decision also significantly affects consumer satisfaction. However, the mediation test indicates that purchase decision does not mediate the relationship between the independent variables and consumer satisfaction. These findings suggest that while these factors drive purchase decision, the indirect pathway does not significantly contribute to enhancing consumer satisfaction.
