Abstract

Metode Suzuki merupakan metode pembelajaran musik yang menekankan pentingnya pendidikan bakat musik sedini mungkin untuk anak-anak dengan menggunakan bahasa ibu (mother tongue). Metode ini banyak disalahartikan oleh masyarakat hanya dengan menggunakan kurikulum buku saja, tanpa menerapkan filosofi dari penciptanya, Shinici Suzuki yaitu dididik dengan kasih sayang Nurtured by Love (dididik dengan kasih sayang) dan teorinya yaitu Talent Education (pendidikan bakat). Tujuan eksplorasi Metode Suzuki ini yaitu: (1) untuk memperkaya bahan ajar cello berbasis Metode Suzuki Cello menggunakan metode eksploratif yaitu metode penelitian yang digunakan untuk meneliti sesuatu yang belum diketahui, belum dipahami, dan belum dikenali dengan baik, (2)untuk mensosialisasikan Metode Suzuki dalam pembelajaran cello. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil adalah: (1) pengayaan bahan ajar cello dalam Metode Suzuki menggunakan metode eksploratif, (2) metode eksploratif yang diterapkan pada pengayaan bahan ajar cello sebagai upaya mensosialisasikan Metode Suzuki. Kata kunci : metode, eksplorasi, pembelajaran

Abstract

Suzuki method is a method of learning that emphasizes the importance of music education musical talent as early as possible for children to use the native language (mother tongue). This method is widely misunderstood by the public simply by using a curriculum book, without applying the philosophy of its creator, Shinici Suzuki is educated with affection Nurtured by Love and his theory that Talent Education.The Suzuki Method exploration objectives are: (1) to enrich the teaching materials cello-based Suzuki Cello Method using exploratory method which the research methods used to study the unknown, not yet understood, and not recognized properly, (2) to promote the Suzuki Method in learning the cello. The conclusions are: (1) the enrichment of teaching material cello using the Suzuki Method exploratory method, (2) exploratory method is applied to the enrichment of cello teaching materials as an attempt to socialize the Suzuki Method.

Abstract

This study investigates the essential strategies for interpreting Johann Sebastian Bach's Cello Suite No. 1 Prelude, with a specific emphasis on historically informed performance practices (HIP). The focus of this study is the intricate implementation of Baroque performance methods, including slurs, detached notes, double stops, cross-string techniques, and ornamentation. These skills are crucial for providing a faithful interpretation of Bach's music. The significance of this research is to connect historical performance techniques with present interpretative approaches, guaranteeing that contemporary performers may give performances that are both historically precise and emotionally captivating. The research methodology employed in this study involves an extensive examination of relevant literature, specifically focusing on the contributions of prominent academics such as Frederick Neumann, David Schulenberg, and Jean Claude Veilhan. These scholars have offered valuable insights into the fundamental aspects of Baroque performance practices. Furthermore, this analysis examines the incorporation of historical knowledge with contemporary performance practices by studying the practical insights of esteemed cellists such as Anner Bylsma and Pieter Wispelwey. This dual approach enables a comprehensive comprehension of both the theoretical foundations and actual implementations of the performance strategies in question. This research emphasizes the crucial function of slurs in producing smooth and connected phrasing, the significance of detached notes for precise rhythm, the utilization of double stops and cross-string techniques to enhance harmonic richness and technical complexity, and the importance of ornamentation in deepening the expressive quality of the Prelude. This research offers a complete framework for interpreting Bach's Cello Suite No. 1 Prelude by combining theoretical analysis with practical performance suggestions. This technique not only respects the artistic authenticity of Baroque music but also guarantees that Bach's enduring masterpiece remains relevant to contemporary audiences, thus contributing to the continuous development of classical music performance.

Abstract

 Transformasi digital telah membuka peluang inovatif dalam pembiayaan pertunjukan seni, salah satunya melalui pemanfaatan platform crowdfunding. Mekanisme ini memungkinkan pelaku seni, termasuk kelompok orkestra simfoni untuk mengakses sumber pendanaan langsung dari masyarakat tanpa bergantung sepenuhnya pada sponsor tradisional atau institusi pemerintah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis model dan strategi crowdfunding yang efektif dalam sektor pertunjukan seni dengan fokus khusus pada kelompok orkestra simfoni. Melalui metode studi pustaka dan tinjauan literatur, kajian ini mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penentu keberhasilan seperti keterlibatan audiens, transparansi kampanye, serta tantangan dalam mengimplementasikan, termasuk kompetisi di dalam platform dan kesulitan dalam mencapai target pendanaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan crowdfunding tidak hanya meningkatkan aksesibilitas dalam pembiayaan tetapi juga memperkuat hubungan antara kelompok orkestra simfoni dengan komunitasnya melalui partisipasi aktif publik. Selain itu, strategi digital ini dapat memperluas jangkauan audiens dan menciptakan basis pendukung yang lebih berkelanjutan. Temuan penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi teoretis dalam memahami dinamika pembiayaan alternatif pada kelompok orkestra simfoni di era digital, sekaligus menawarkan rekomendasi praktis untuk mengoptimalkan potensi menggunakan crowdfunding dalam mendukung keberlanjutan finansial dan artistik pada perencanaan program pertunjukan kelompok orkestra simfoni.  Crowdfunding Financing Models for Symphony Orchestras in the Digital Era 4.0 ABSTRACTThe digital transformation has created innovative opportunities in the financing of performing arts, particularly through the use of crowdfunding platforms. This mechanism enables art practitioners, including symphony orchestras, to obtain funding directly from the public without relying entirely on traditional sponsors or governmental institutions. This study aims to examine effective crowdfunding models and strategies within the performing arts sector, with a specific focus on symphony orchestras. Through a literature review approach, this research identifies key success factors, including audience engagement, campaign transparency, and common implementation challenges such as competition within platforms and difficulties in achieving funding targets. The results of this study indicate that crowdfunding not only enhances access to financial resources but also strengthens the relationship between symphony orchestras and their communities through active public involvement. Furthermore, this digital strategy has the potential to broaden audience reach and build a more sustainable supporter base. This study offers theoretical contributions to the understanding of alternative financing dynamics for symphony orchestras in the digital age, while also providing practical recommendations for optimizing the use of crowdfunding to support both financial and artistic sustainability in symphony orchestra performance planning.

Abstract

AbstrakArtikel ini memberikan identifikasi dan penjelasan mengenai karakteristik demografis dan psikografis penonton, serta motivasi yang mempengaruhi kehadiran mereka dalam sebuah pertunjukan musik. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini melibatkan 600 responden yang datanya diambil pada pertunjukan Jakarta City Philharmonic Orchestra. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas penonton adalah perempuan dengan presentase 61%, dengan profesi dominan sebagai karyawan perusahaan swasta dengan presentase 36% dan rerata pengeluaran bulanan antara 3-5,9 juta dengan presentase 35%. Sebagian besar responden berstatus lajang dengan presentase 86% dan memiliki pendidikan terakhir sarjana (S1) dengan presentase 59%. Motivasi utama penonton untuk hadir adalah untuk relaksasi dan hiburan, diikuti oleh keinginan untuk memperoleh wawasan baru tentang seni. Analisis tabulasi silang mengungkapkan bahwa perempuan lebih banyak hadir dibandingkan laki-laki dengan presentase 61% dan 39%, dan penonton lajang cenderung lebih sering menghadiri pertunjukan dengan presentase 86%. Penelitian ini juga mengidentifikasi empat segmen penonton berdasarkan gaya hidup, yaitu "penikmat", "wanita aspirasional", "sarjana milenial", dan "lajang berjiwa seni". Hasil kajian dapat memberikan rujukan bagi pengelola seni dalam merancang strategi pemasaran yang lebih efektif dan menarik bagi penonton musik orkestra.Kata kunci:  audiens, Jakarta City Philharmonic Orchestra, musik orkestra, segmentasi penonton AbstractDemographic and Psychographic Characteristics of the Jakarta City Philharmonic Orchestra's Classical Music Audience. This article identifies and explains the demographic and psychographic characteristics of concert attendees, as well as the motivations influencing their presence at a musical performance. Utilizing a descriptive quantitative approach, the study surveyed 600 respondents whose data were collected during a Jakarta City Philharmonic Orchestra concert. The findings reveal that the majority of attendees were female (61%), predominantly employed in private sector companies (36%), with average monthly expenditures ranging between 3 to 5.9 million IDR (35%). Most respondents were single (86%) and held an undergraduate degree (59%). The primary motivation for attendance was relaxation and entertainment, followed by a desire to gain new insights into the arts. Cross-tabulation analysis indicates that women attended in greater numbers than men (61% vs. 39%), and single individuals were more likely to participate in performances (86%). The study further categorizes the audience into four lifestyle-based segments: “enthusiasts,” “aspirational women,” “millennial graduates,” and “arts-spirited singles.” These findings offer valuable insights for arts organizers in designing more effective and appealing marketing strategies targeted toward orchestral music audiences. Keywords: audience, Jakarta City Philharmonic Orchestra, orchestral music, audience segmentation

Abstract

Compulsive dance is an art that originated from Banyuwangi, an area located at the eastern tip of Java Island, which is inhabited by the Osing, Javanese, Madura and Balinese tribes. This article explains the history of compulsive dance by raising several main problems as follows; First, What is the background of the emergence of compulsive dance art in Banyuwangi?; Second, How is the development and function of the art of gandrung dance in Banyuwangi?. The research method in this article is the historical method. Based on the results of research, gandrung dance is an art that emerged in the colonial era, used as a means of indigenous communication to fight against the colonial government. Then after the independence era, gandrung dance has become a phenomenon and has its own attraction for the audience, because of the charm of its attractive and dynamic form of presentation. This charm and attraction has encouraged the local government and the people of Banyuwangi to support and develop the gandrung dance as a cultural characteristic of the Banyuwangi people. This has also shown that the art of gandrung dance in its development has changed from the colonial era to the independence era.
