Abstract

This study aims to develop an educational game as a learning media for mathematics at the elementary school level, particularly fractions.  Named Fraction Bakery, this game was developed as a response to complaints of students' and teachers' difficulty in learning and teaching fractions. This difficulty, if poorly addressed, may serve as an iceberg-like issue for their understanding of more advanced mathematic concepts. Number recognition, including fractions, is fundamental to learning mathematics. As a teacher, it is necessary to evaluate such learning difficulties and seek alternative interactive learning media their students can enjoy. For the purpose of the study, the research and development model proposed by Thiagarajan, consisting of Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate stages, was applied. This game was still in the development process by evaluating the media value using trial responses involving undergraduate students of mathematics education at Sebelas Maret University. Regarding the product's interface, 71% of respondents gave a high score, 57% gave a very high score to the game animation, 75% stated that the game would likely motivate users to learn (affective impact), and 57% stated that the materials delivered in the game are highly relevant to the competency

Abstract

At this time there is a shift in the learning system from face-to-face learning to a challenge. One of the bold lessons used is google classroom. There are still many principals who managerially have not maximized the learning of teachers and students in the process with this google classroom media, besides that teachers who should be the spearhead of implementing learning through google classroom also have not mastered this media to the fullest. So learning with google classroom media still has many obstacles. This study aims to measure the extent of the influence of principal managerial and teacher performance on the use of google classroom in improving mathematics learning achievement in elementary school students. This research method uses descriptive qualitative with a phenomenological approach. The subjects of this study were principals, teachers, and school students in Kepyar Village. The data collection used in this research is data collection through questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation. Data validity through triangulation of data sources. The results of this study are the managerial influence and performance of teachers who use google classroom to improve students' mathematics learning achievement in elementary schools. The benefit of this research is to provide a reference to teachers that the managerial influence of principals and effective teacher performance in the use of google classroom can improve student achievement in mathematics lessons in elementary school.

Abstract

Mathematical numeracy skills are essential competencies needed by students to understand and solve contextual problems in everyday life. However, various assessment results indicate that the numeracy skills of junior high school students in Indonesia are still relatively low, necessitating innovation in mathematics learning. One effort that can be done is through the development of Student Worksheets (SW) that are systematically designed and oriented towards students' thinking processes. This article aims to systematically review the research literature related to SW development, mathematical numeracy skills, and the potential integration of the MIKiR (Experience, Interaction, Communication, and Reflection) strategy in junior high school mathematics learning. The research method used is a systematic literature review of journal articles. The results of the study indicate that contextual SW can improve students' numeracy skills, but most studies have not integrated learning strategies explicitly into the SW design. This study confirms a research gap related to the development of SW based on the MIKiR strategy to improve junior high school students' mathematical numeracy skills
