Abstract

Mandiri Bina Prestasi Polytechnic at its inception in 2004 had its own charm, but since 2012 it has experienced a decline in public interest and trust and continues to decline until now. Internal problems are clearly visible, including low teaching performance both in the process of planning, implementing and evaluating learning. Lecturers seem to lack encouragement to carry out the learning process properly and there are symptoms of stress experienced by lecturers related to their work. Scientific studies are needed on the effect of work stress and work motivation on the teaching performance of lecturers at the Bina Prestasi Mandiri Polytechnic to be able to provide a solution for handling it using the approach used based on McClelland's theory. This study uses multiple linear regression to determine the effect of work stress (physiological, psychological, behavioral, work conflict, task characteristics, and influence of leadership), and work motivation (wages/salary, desire to progress, and need for affiliation). on the teaching performance of lecturers at the Mandiri Achievement Development Polytechnic. The subjects in this study were all permanent lecturers at the Bina Prestasi Polytechnic, totaling 48 people. This study proves that the teaching performance of lecturers at the Mandiri Bina Prestasi Polytechnic can be significantly influenced by work stress and work motivation at a significant level of 5%. Partially it was also found that work stress and work motivation each had a significant effect on the performance of the Bina Prestasi Mandiri Polytechnic lecturers, where work stress had an effect on work motivation. The variables of work stress and work motivation can explain 43.70% of their influence on the teaching performance variables of lecturers at the Bina Prestasi Mandiri Polytechnic while the remaining 56.3% is the influence of other independent variables not examined in this study.

Abstract

In daily life, borrowing through financial institutions such as banks is a common activity. This study aims to examine the influence of perceived ease of use, perceived risk, privacy, trust, and perceived benefits on public interest in applying for bank loans. The study population consisted of 2,785 furniture entrepreneurs in Medan City, with 104 respondents selected through purposive sampling. Primary data were collected via questionnaires, supported by secondary data from relevant literature. Data analysis was conducted using Partial Least Squares (PLS) to assess relationships among variables. The findings reveal that perceived ease of use, privacy, trust, and perceived benefits significantly influence interest in borrowing from banks, while perceived risk does not show a significant effect. These results provide valuable insights for future research and contribute to the understanding of financial behavior, particularly in the context of entrepreneurial financing decisions. Abstract

Karang Taruna kecamatan STM Hulu Kabupaten Deli Serdang menjadi mitra Pengabdian Masyarakat AMIK Widyaloka Medan. Kedua lmbaga ini sudah menjalin hubungan kerja sama yaitu sejak tahun 2019. Beberapa kegiatan yang sudah dilakukan oleh kedua organisasi ini diantaranya melakukan perekrutan mahasiswa baru, memberikan beasiswa dari yayasan, melakukan bakti sosial terhadap masyarakat, menjalin turnamen persahabatan footsal antara mahasiswa AMIK Widyaloka dengan anggota karang taruna, dan berbagai kegiatan lainya. Karang Taruna Kecamatan STM Hulu erdiri dari karang taruna desa sebanyak 20 yang anggotanya orang yang berumur mulai dari 11 sampai dengan 45 tahun. Karang Taruna merupakan Lembaga Kemasyarakatan Desa yang memiliki program kerja bidang pendidikan, pelatihan, dan bidang kesejahteraan sosial sehingga karang taruna sudah banyak melakukan kegiatan dan akan merencanakan kegiataunan program kerja. Untuk mensosialisasikan kegiatan yang sudah dilakukan dan rencana yang akan dilakukan maka karang taruna membuat pertemuan dengan anggota dan pimpinan. Permasalahan yang di hadapi karang taruna dalam pertemuan adalah ketika si penyaji memaparkan materi yang di sampaikan berupa catatan kecil tanpa menggunakan media pembantu sehingga peserta hanya bisa mendengarkan dari pemaparan secara lisan maka suasana pertemuan membosankan dan tidak menarik akibatnya peserta banyak yang mengantuk dan dan berbicara bicara waktu penyaji pemaparan kegiatan berlangsung. Amik Widyaloka Medan menawarkan solusi dengan mengabdikan diri melalui Program Pengabdin dari kampus AMIk Widyaloka Medan yaitu melatih mitra untuk membuat bahan persentasi kegiatan dengan penggunakan aplikasi Microsoft Ofice khususnya word, power point dan excel sehingga bahan presentasi penyaji pada saat pertemuan . memiliki daya tarik agar peserta yang hadir akan lebih serius dan tertarik untuk mengikuti kegiatan pertemuan tersebut.

Abstract

The development of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia continues to increase, yet many still face challenges in business management, particularly in implementing knowledge management, fostering innovation capability, and building competitive advantage. This study investigates the influence of knowledge management and innovation capability on MSME performance, with competitive advantage and innovation capability as mediating variables. Data were collected from 329 MSME respondents in Medan City using purposive sampling and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS version 26 and Sobel test for mediation analysis. The findings reveal that both knowledge management and innovation capability significantly affect MSME performance. Knowledge management also has a significant impact on both competitive advantage and innovation capability. However, innovation capability does not significantly influence competitive advantage. Furthermore, while competitive advantage directly affects MSME performance, it does not mediate the relationship between knowledge management or innovation capability and performance. In contrast, innovation capability successfully mediates the effect of knowledge management on performance. These results highlight the strategic importance of strengthening knowledge management and innovation capability to enhance MSME sustainability and competitiveness.
