Abstract

he study explores the origin of nyaer tradition in Lombok and the reasons the people hold it during Islamic celebrations. Specifically, the study attempts to uncover the values of education of the tradition as means of propagating Islam. The study finds that the nyaer tradition of the book of Kifayah al-Muhtaj began since the coming of Islam into the island and has been maintained from the earlier generation up to the present. The common reasons for upholding nyaer is because it is seen as medium through which the continuity of generations is assured, religious values are preserved and Islamic propagation is established. As a means of disseminating Islam, the book promotes Islamic messages such as consistence and mutual respect among people. The book also fosters charity and the spirit of love for the Prophet and strengthens Islamic unity. For Muslims in Lombok, the book plays a pivotal role in bringing the people into the realization of Islamic teachings.

Abstract

Abstrak: Salah satu persoalan yang melanda masyarakat kelas bawah di NTB pada umumnya adalah ketidakberdayaan mereka pada sektor ekonomi. Permasalahan ini tentu berimbas pada rendahnya kualitas sumberdaya manusia. Beberapa factor penyebab ketidakberdayaan ekonomi (miskin) masyarakat ini diantaranya adalah karena keterbatasan lapangan pekerjaan, tidak memiliki modal usaha, serta tidak memiliki keterampilan hidup yang dapat diandalkan untuk membuka usaha sendiri. Untuk itu, sebagai mitra masyarakat, khususnya perguruan tinggi perlu meningkatkan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakatnya melalui penugasan kelompok-kelompok dosennya, terutama melalui kegiatan-kegiatan yang dapat menciptakan life skill masyarakat dalam sektor ekonomi ini sebagai wujud pengamalan tri dharma perguruan tinggi. Secara umum, kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan Abon dan Bakso ikan laut ini berjalan sesuai rencana dan mendapatkan respon baik oleh masyarakat setempat, baik yang terdaftar sebagai peserta maupun yang tidak. Terlihat dari kemampuan peserta, life skill ini tidak terlalu sulit untuk dipraktekkan. Cuma yang menjadi permasalahan para peserta sekarang, mereka menginginkan pembentukan sebuah unit usaha yang akan menaungi keterampilan mereka, namun masih bingung dengan sistem manajemen dan modal, sehingga mereka masih mengharapkan bantuan. Oleh karena itu perlu ada lembaga-lembaga tertentu, baik dari pemerintah, perguruan tinggi, atau swasta untuk lebih memperhatikan kebutuhan dan kepentingan komunitas binaan ini

Abstract

Keberadaan kelas unggulan di madrasah telah menimbulkan pro dan kontra. Bagi yang pro menginginkan adanya penghargaan kepada siswa yang memiliki bakat dan kecerdasan dengan memberikan perlakuan berbeda dengan yang lain. Sementara kelompok yang kontra, menganggap kehadiran kelas unggulan telah melahirkan dikotomis perlakuan, yang berbeda dengan kelas non kelas unggulan. Seakan-seakan non kelas unggulan tidak memiliki potensi untuk berkembang.Terlepas dari pro dan kontra, keberadaan kelas unggulan merupakan suatu keniscayaan yang disadari atau tidak di satu sisi melahirkan sikap skeptis dan di sisi lain melahirkan sikap optimistis. Untuk itu, penelitian ini mengungkap problem manajemen pembelajaran inovatif dan upaya-upaya guru dalam mengatasi problem tersebut. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif-fenomenalogi yakni berusaha mengungkap fenomena, rekayasa yang ada tanpa ada intervensi dari peneliti sendiri. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa problem yang terjadi lebih disebabkan faktor non teknis, mental anak belum stabil, rasa jenuh, sikap menyepelekan. Sedangkan problem manajemen pembelajaran inovatif, terjadi sebagai akibat tugas guru yang padat, komunikasi yang belum maksimal, persiapan yang masih kurang, implementasi serta evaluasi yang belum merata. Adapun upaya-upaya yang dilakukan guru seperti menata pola pembelajaran lebih terpadu, menyediakan konseling belajar, dan menerapkan model pembelajaran lebih variatif.The existence of excellent class in Madrassa has driven pro and contra. For those who prefer to give reward to students with high competency and agility, they want different treatment to these students. Whereas the other argues that the presence of excellent class has created dichotomy in term of the treatment for the students, especially for those who does not belong to the excellent class. Non excellent class is regarded as if it does not have any potency to grow as the excellent does. Detached from this pro and contra, the existence of excellent class is an inevitable which we realized it or not it has created skeptical attitude in one side but in other side the existence of this class has been become a silver lining for an optimistic future. This research therefore revealed the problem of innovative learning management and the efforts conducted by the teachers to resolve that problem. Research method applied in this study is qualitative descriptive – phenomenology. This method focuses on revealing phenomena, engineered situation for better learning without any intervention from the researcher. Research finding shows that problem happened is caused by non technical factor; instability of students’ mentality, saturated feeling, and student’s attitude in underestimating the situation. While the problem of innovative learning management is happened due to the teachers are overworked, not maximal communication among stakeholder, not enough preparation, and not enough evaluation and evaluation. Teachers’ efforts to relieve this situation are resetting teaching and learning process into a more cohesive one, providing counseling for learning and implementing more varieties for learning.Kata Kunci: manajemen, pembelajaran inovatif, kelas unggulan

Abstract

Konsep safety school bermula dari fenomena kenakalan remaja, seperti, adanya peserta didik membolos, terlambat, merokok, narkoba, razia gawai, berkembangnya paham radikalisme, dan lemahnya pemahaman tentang wawasan kebangsaan. Untuk merespon fenomena tersebut, dua sekolah menengah pertama negeri di Lombok, Indonesia, hadir sebagai madrasah yang membangun pendidikan zero accident. Didasari dengan studi kasus kualitatif, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana dua madrasah tersebut melakukan langkah prefentif terhadap kenakalan peserta didik melalui konsep safety school, sehingga tidak kehilangan identitasnya sebagai lembaga pendidikan yang menjunjung tinggi nilai spritualitas. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam menjawab tantangan ini, dua madrasah permodelan tersebut telah menyusun dan mengembangkan inovasi safety school tidak hanya didukung inovasi fisik, seperti fasilitas CCTV, security, tembok pembatas, tata tertib yang ditentukan, dan penataan bangunan madrasah tetapi juga ditopang dengan inovasi nonfisik, yaitu: spritual learning. Penelitian ini juga mempromosikan bahwa spiritual learning pada kedua madrasah ini direalisasikan dalam seperangkat komponen program keagamaan, seperti shalat dhuha dan dhuhur berjamaah, gerakan bina lingkungan, program one day one ayat, penguatan tartil dan tahfiz al-Qur'an, program Imtaq (iman dan taqwa), community-based madrasah, dan pemanfaatan laboratorium agama.

Abstract

This paper aims to report various issues related to affective domain assessment in an effort tounderstand the needs of teachers in implementing affective assessment in Madrasah Aliyah. Data collection isdone through interview technique and focus group discussion (FGD). The collected data were analyzedinductively to produce meaningful information points. Predicate as a public school characteristic of Islamicreligion attached to Madrasah Aliyah institution has implications to the demands of realizing the character ofmorality or morals as a value of excellence for learners. Implementation of education system in Madrasah Aliyahwhich has been accused still has weaknesses require real efforts to improve its quality. The development ofvalue-based affective assesment instruments combined with the scale of religiosity is representative to expressand recognize the disposition of learners’s affective characteristics more broadly and fundamentally for theinterest of improving the assessment system in particular and improving the quality of education in general. Abstract

[Bahasa]: Pendampingan remaja melalui program edukasi literasi media di Lingkungan Karang Baru Pejeruk Ampenan merupakan program dampingan yang menghadirkan kondisi baru, setidak-tidaknya telah membawa perubahan perilaku sosial remaja kendati perubahan tersebut tidak terlalu cepat, lebih-lebih dalam program yang bersifat dampingan yang berbasis kepada perubahan pola pikir, perilaku, dan cara pandang masyarakat. Program dampingan seperti ini membutuhkan waktu yang relatif lama tidak seperti halnya program yang bersifat fisik yang mudah dilihat, mudah diukur capaiannya dan keberhasilannya. Tim telah berusaha membangun kesadaran komunitas tentang pentingnya literasi media. Membangun kesadaran kepada komunitas remaja sebagai inovator bukanlah pekerjaan yang mudah, namun tidak mesti harus dihindari karena program ini dipandang cukup memberikan manfaat positif kepada remaja. Hasil dampingan menunjukkan adanya kemauan, inisiatif remaja sebagai inisiator sekaligus sebagai inovator di lingkungannya dalam merubah cara pandang remaja dalam mengkonsumsi media dengan memanfaatkan forum-forum atau kelompok-kelompok warga, seperti yasinan remaja, hiziban, serakalan, dan pengajian remaja. Abstract

Improving the quality of inputs and graduates of Higher Education is a basic program based on the program through an integrated approach starting from input-process, the output out to come out. The PMI Department is one of the majors at FDIK, Mataram UIN which continues to improve even though since its opening in 2007 until 2017 from the inside side it still experiences a less encouraging trend. Therefore, through this research, we want to find the image of the community towards its existence, the direction of the policy and the strategy of increasing the graduates' input. This study uses survey research, where researchers try to find people's perceptions through closed questions. The method of collecting data through questionnaires, and coupled with interviews, observation and documentation. While data analysis uses an interactive model analysis through data collection, data reduction and verification or conclusion. The credibility of data is through an extension of the time of research and triangulation. The results of the study found that a) the perception or image of the community about the existence of the FDI PMI Department Mataram UIN is still formalist and normative meaning that it only sees things that are not substantive, b) Policy directions through two models, namely the direction of academic and sociological policies, and c ) improvement strategies through internal academic reinforcement and external reinforcement (partnership).

Abstract

This paper examines the TGH. M. Najmuddin Makmun cultural da’wah  in Lombok. TGH. M. Najmuddin Makmun is known as a figure of educators, leaders of the tarekat and  has carried out institutional restoration of da’wah in the Sasak community. Evidenced by 300 majlis taklim and educational institutions, (TK, MTs, SMP, MA, SMA, Tahassus).  This research uses descriptive qualitative with in-depth interview techniques, observation and document utilization. The findings show that the success of his da'wah was caused  the power of cultural da’wah, namely through the traditional, saga or approach  reveal flashbacks of the Sasak ancestral journey and examine historical sites.  While his Sufitik is seen in his works such as,  Tanwir Qulub, Tazkir al-Ghaafilin, Tanbih al-Muslimin, Nurussabah, Menghidupkan Hati, and story Wali Nyato’  which was taught and developed in the midst of Sasak society 40 years ago.

Abstract

Sorong serah aji krama is a tradition of Lombok Sasak tribe community and as a symbol of appreciation in the marriage process of the Sasak tribe community. The symbol of this award is marked by the presence of aji krama. It does not merely have the symbolic meaning of the prospective groom to the bride but implied the symbolic meta meaning. That is, there is a profound meaning of the process of sorong serah aji krama that must be understood, internalized, and implemented in the marriage life of the prospective couple. To that end, this study wants to find the symbolic meta meaning of the tradition of sorong serah aji krama of the Sasak tribe community. This research used descriptive qualitative research. The result shows that the tradition of sorong serah aji krama is not only interpreted as mere preservation of a symbolic material tradition, namely the giving of dowry but also as a meta symbolic of the self-esteem as a human being in the life of the household. The Sasak tribe community views this tradition as the honor and respect of the groom to the bride.Tradisi sorong serah aji krama merupakan tradisi masyarakat suku Sasak Lombok dan sebagai simbol penghargaan dalam proses perkawinan masyarakat suku Sasak. Simbol penghargaan ini ditandai dengan adanya aji krama. Aji krama tidak semata-mata memiliki makna simbolik dari calon mempelai laki-laki kepada mempelai perempuan melainkan tersirat makna meta simbolik. Yakni, ada makna yang mendalam atas proses sorong serah aji krama yang harus dipahami, diinternalisasikan, dan dilaksanakan dalam kehidupan berumah tangga calon mempelai. Untuk itu, penelitian ini ingin menemukan makna meta simbolik tradisi sorong serah aji krama pada masyarakat suku Sasak. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa tradisi sorong serah aji krama tidak hanya dimaknai sekedar mempertahankan tradisi yang bersifat material simbolik, yakni pemberian maskawin semata, melainkan dimaknai sebagai meta sombolik akan harga diri sebagai manusia dalam menjalankan kehidupan rumah tangga. Masyarakat suku Sasak memandang tradisi ini sebagai penghargaan dan penghormatan calon mempelai laki-laki kepada mempelai perempuan.

Abstract

Student achievement is often measured by report cards, even though students have a lot of potential for non-academic achievements that have not been widely disclosed and developed. It is the Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Mataram that has placed a parallel between academic achievement and non-academic achievement so that the madrasah harvests achievements from these two aspects. For this reason, this study reveals how to strengthen non-academic achievement and its impact. Field research at MAN (State Islamic School) 2 Mataram Model uses descriptive qualitative analysis; data collection was conducted with interviews involving the Head of the Madrasah, teachers, and students as key informants, observation, and documentation elaboration. The results showed that strengthening non-academic achievements by forming creative groups, creative group innovations, building creative group hard work that is supported by an attitude of appreciating the heterogeneity of inputs; appreciating various potentials, uphold creativity, thus producing a variety of creative innovations such as hafiz hafizah, peer mentors, films, talk shows, presenters, entrepreneurial spirit and leadership.
