Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of parents in motivating children to learn the Qur'an at TPA Sidomulyo and the supporting and inhibiting factors. The research method uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The subjects selected were parents who had children reading the Koran at the TPA using purposive sampling. In the results and discussion found several indicators will be described regarding the role of the parents. This research was conducted in Sidomulyo, Tumbang Tahai Village, Palangka Raya City. The results of this study found the role of parents in motivating their children to learn the Qur'an. The role of parents in motivating learning the Qur'an is influenced by several factors, namely supporting factors, 1) the will of the child, 2) the child's motivation, and 3) the environment, as well as inhibiting factors, 1) laziness, and 2) the busyness of parents.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the strategies used by Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in fostering a religious culture in class XI-2 at SMAN 1 Palangka Raya. The background to this study is the increasing moral degradation among teenagers due to the massive negative influence of social media, resulting in a lack of spiritual character building in public schools. As a preventive measure, the school has attempted to take steps to foster a religious culture. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The subjects of this study include: 2 PAI teachers, and the informant: the school principal. The research findings indicate that the PAI teachers' strategies include fostering religious activities, teacher role modeling, integrating religious values into learning, and collaborating with parents. These strategies have proven to enhance religious participation and strengthen students' spiritual character. Challenges faced include limited mosque facilities and the influence of digital media, but these can be addressed through digital innovation and educational institution support. This study recommends strengthening school-parent collaboration, enhancing teacher capacity, and developing worship monitoring technology to support the effectiveness of religious education in public schools.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the intensity of accessing spiritual content on the TikTok application on the religiosity level of students in the Islamic Education Study Program (PAI) at UIN Palangka Raya. Using a quantitative approach with a survey method involving 80 students, data were collected through a Google Form questionnaire. The results of a simple linear regression test showed a positive and significant effect between the intensity of accessing spiritual content and the students’ religiosity level. The regression coefficient was 0.984, and the t-value was 6.105, which is greater than the t-table value of 2.239 with a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. This indicates that the higher the intensity of accessing spiritual content, the higher the level of student religiosity. The study concludes that spiritual content on TikTok can be an effective medium of da’wah to enhance students' religiosity, especially within religious education settings.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi di era digital memberikan pengaruh besar terhadap dunia pendidikan, termasuk dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam pada lembaga pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam, menganalisis faktor pendukung dan penghambat penerapannya, serta merumuskan strategi pemanfaatan teknologi informasi yang relevan dengan nilai-nilai Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi pustaka (library research). Data diperoleh dari berbagai sumber literatur ilmiah berupa jurnal, buku, artikel, dan dokumen akademik yang berkaitan dengan teknologi informasi dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan agama islam. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi dokumentasi dan studi literatur, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan teknologi informasi dalam pembelajaran PAI telah mulai diterapkan melalui penggunaan media digital seperti video pembelajaran, PowerPoint, Learning Management System, dan aplikasi pembelajaran interaktif. Namun, penerapannya masih belum optimal karena adanya keterbatasan kompetensi digital guru, kurangnya pelatihan, serta keterbatasan fasilitas teknologi. Strategi yang dapat diterapkan meliputi peningkatan kompetensi guru, pengembangan bahan ajar digital interaktif, pemanfaatan platform pembelajaran digital, dan penerapan blended learning. Dengan demikian, pemanfaatan teknologi informasi diharapkan mampu meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran PAI secara efektif, inovatif, dan tetap berlandaskan nilai-nilai Islam.

Abstract

Although various studies have discussed the impact of globalization on Islamic education, integrative studies that comprehensively map the problems and challenges of Islamic education remain limited. This study aims to identify and classify the main problems of Islamic education in the era of globalization, analyze the challenges faced from a multidisciplinary perspective, and formulate strategic recommendations to strengthen the relevance and sustainability of Islamic education. This study used a qualitative approach with a systematic literature review design. Data were collected through systematic searching, screening, eligibility assessment, and critical review of relevant books and scholarly articles. Data were analyzed using content analysis techniques combined with critical comparison to identify the main themes and explain the interrelationships among findings systemically. The results show five interrelated main problems, namely the dichotomy between religious and general sciences, students’ identity crisis, low educator competence, digital infrastructure gaps, and a curriculum that is not yet adaptive to changing times. These five issues form a complex system and weaken the ability of Islamic educational institutions to respond effectively to global dynamics. The recommended strategies include the integration of knowledge based on Islamic epistemology, the strengthening of contextual character education, the improvement of educators’ digital competence, equitable access to technology, and curriculum redesign based on learning outcomes and future competencies. This study contributes theoretically through the development of a comprehensive conceptual framework on the challenges of Islamic education and has practical implications for policymakers, educational institutions, and educators in developing an Islamic education system that is adaptive, grounded in Islamic values, and sustainable.

Abstract

Children’s character development today faces challenges due to social changes and technological advances that have contributed to the weakening of the values of discipline, responsibility, and religiosity. This study aimed to analyze the role of homeschooling in strengthening children’s character based on the perspective of Islamic Education. This study used a library research method with a descriptive qualitative approach through a review of various relevant literature, including books, journals, and scientific articles. Data were collected through documentation study and analyzed using content analysis techniques. The results showed that homeschooling in Islamic Education plays an important role in shaping children’s character through an integrated family environment. The dominant characters formed include being religious, independent, disciplined, honest, responsible, caring, and courteous. The process of strengthening character takes place through learning flexibility, habituation to worship, parental role modeling, family interaction, and consistent supervision. These findings confirm that homeschooling functions not only as an alternative form of education but also as a strategic means of strengthening children’s character based on Islamic values. The implications of this study indicate that parents have a central role as educators as well as the primary character builders of children within the family environment.
