Abstract

Cultivation and production of porang tubers is growing but most of the results are exports while with abundant production it can be used alone to make glucomannan flour. The production of glucomannan flour in Indonesia is currently still in the development stage and most of it is still on a laboratory scale, to develop porang agriculture and glucomannan flour is to increase the scale of production to be larger. This study aims to analyze whether the glucomannan flour industry is technically, financially and marketing feasible if it is established in Indonesia. The results showed that from a technical and technological perspective the production process of porang tubers to become glucomannan flour was feasible because at a laboratory scale there were already standards for equipment, material use and production. Financial analysis is said to be feasible based on the results of the calculation of investment feasibility which includes IRR, NPV, PI and PP because each calculation meets the criteria for eligibility. Market and marketing analysis is said to be feasible if a product has an opportunity for its market. The market and marketing analysis using the STP method shows that glucomannan flour can use segmenting to be developed into targeting which then gets the image of the product by positioning

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of packaging type and storage temperature on the physical, chemical, and sensory properties of chili blocks during storage. Additionally, the study aims to identify the optimal packaging and storage temperature combination, as well as to characterize the quality attributes of chili blocks. The experimental design employed was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) in a factorial arrangement with two factors: packaging type and storage temperature. In this study, using aluminum foil as primary packaging, PP plastic packaging, and paper as secondary packaging, and 3 treatment storage temperatures, each repeated as many as 3 trials, so that it has 18 experimental units. Data analysis using ANOVA with Duncan's Multiple Range Test (DMRT)at a significant level of 5% using the SPSS18 program. The results showed that secondary packaging types and storage temperatures did not significantly affect physical properties (moisture content) and organoleptic properties (color, aroma, texture), but significantly affected the chemical properties (pH, vitamin C, ash content) and secondary packaging types the good for chili block is alufo + plastic packaging and refrigerator storage temperature (10oC), and good chili block characteristics are: Refrigerator storage (temperature 10oC) with alufo + plastic packaging: lowest physical properties (moisture content) 27.29, chemical properties (lowest pH 5.23, Vitamin C 12.91 and ash content 6.35).

Abstract

The demand for environmentally friendly alternative energy continues to increase in line with the depletion of fossil fuel availability and its environmental impacts. One potential solution is the utilization of biomass-based bio briquettes as a renewable energy source. This study aims to evaluate the quality of biobriquettes through seven key parameters, namely moisture content, ash content, density, volatile matter, burning rate, calorific value, and emission test, which were compared to the Indonesian National Standard (SNI) as well as firewood combustion results. A quantitative descriptive method was employed using three formulations with three replications. The results showed that the moisture content (10.00–13.33%) and ash content (10–15.67%) met the requirements of SNI 4931:2010. The density of the bio briquettes (0.42–0.552 g/cm³) indicated a reasonably good compactness although no SNI reference is available for density. However, the volatile matter content remained considerably high (65.33–76.33%), exceeding the SNI threshold of <22%. The burning rate ranged from 0.0058–0.0066 g/s with stable combustion characteristics. The calorific value of the bio briquettes was between 2760.21–3387.41 Cal/g, while emission tests showed the highest CO concentration at 0.86% in FP1, CO₂ at 3.37% in FP2, O₂ at 20.95% in FP2, and HC at 139.33 ppm in FP1.

Abstract

Z Generation is a generation whose main characteristic is being accustomed to technology. Likewise in the choice of entrepreneurial motivation. Generally, Gen Z prefers entrepreneurship to express self-actualization and the abilities they have. The research is included in quantitative research with a correlational approach. The population and sample are students of Tanah Laut Polytechnic majoring in Tax Accounting, Accounting, Agroindustry and Agro-Industrial Product Development. Data collection through questionnaires and analysis using Pearson correlation. Results show that motivation of Z Generation entrepreneurial is high category and has an impact on agribusiness entrepreneur intention which is also high. The results concluded that there was significantly relationship bet ween motivation and agribusiness entrepreneur intention.
