Abstract

Padang City is one of the areas with the largest production of caught fish in West Sumatra, reaching 20,191.56 tons or worth IDR 479,442,842,000 in 2021. Fishermen's fish production is influenced by season and weather; if the weather is bad, the number of catches decreases, while during the harvest season, there is an oversupply which causes a lot of fish to be stored in cold storage. Apart from that, the flow of fish caught is not yet clear, causing the use of cold storage to be not optimal. This research aims to ensure that fish catches can be distributed optimally to final consumers, optimize the use of cold storage, and stabilize fish prices on the market to improve the fishermen's economy. The research method used is descriptive and qualitative methods with data collection techniques through field observations and interviews. The research results show that the supply chain for caught fish at the Bungus Fishery Port consists of a supply chain network for large and small catches. This network has three supply chain flows: the flow of goods, information, and money.

Abstract

West Sumatra Province has been designated by the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries as a Minapolitan area with seven regions in West Sumatra. Since the establishment of West Sumatra as a Minapolitan area, there has been no research examining the evaluation of suitability between planning and implementation of the Minapolitan fishing area development program in West Sumatra. The aim of this research is to determine a strategy for developing the Minapolitan area in West Sumatra which can improve the welfare of fishermen in the area. The data collection technique in this research is the primary data collection method in the form of field observations, interviews, FGDs and filling out questionnaires by respondents selected based on their knowledge of the Minapolitan area development program, such as representatives of the DKP, Port Service, business actors, and fishermen figures. The method used to determine strategic priorities for developing the Minapolitan area is using the Analytical Hierarchy Process approach. Based on the AHP calculation, the CR value <= 0.1 shows that respondents are consistent in making assessments and the resulting solutions are optimal. Likewise, for the CR value in the calculation for the assessment of each indicator, the CR value obtained is 0.0263 for the assessment of the supporting facility factor indicator, 0.0231 for the assessment of the supporting infrastructure factor indicator and 0.0061 for the assessment of the regional program factor indicator. The strategy obtained for developing the Minapolitan area is seen from the priority value between the highest factors, namely the supporting facilities and supporting infrastructure factors. The priority indicators that need to be immediately improved are the indicators for the availability of fishing ports, followed by the availability of fishing gear and the availability of clean water networks, the results obtained from the priority order of all the indicators assessed.

Abstract

Abstract

Indonesia is listed as the second largest contributor to plastic waste in the world. The problem currently faced is the increasing amount of plastic waste which is one result of the business processes of companies using plastic packaging or plastic packaging manufacturers, one of the plastic packaging waste that comes from cooking oil packaging. The method to solve the problem of processing cooking oil packaging waste carried out in this study is to modify the existing system into a reverse logistics system. Currently, cooking oil companies have not implemented reverse logistics to reduce plastic packaging production. The reverse logistics system applied in this study is to modify cooking oil packages into packages that can be used repeatedly. The reverse logistics system that is applied is then modeled linerly to find out the minimal costs in implementing reverse logistics for the packaged cooking oil. Based on the development of the packaged cooking oil waste management model, it is known that the results of determining the model solution with the linear programming model are the minimal costs for reverse logistics of packaged cooking oil. The model is designed to do a sensitivity analysis by making changes to the reverse logistics cost parameters, changes in the reverse logistics cost parameters resulting in changes to the results that are directly proportional. The designed model is implemented using PT. XYZ which has a similarity with the designed system.
