Abstract

Child interactions encountered some problems frequently. The ability to deal with problems is one of the capability that should be owned by children. Coping strategies will be useful for the child to deal with various situations both external and internal problems. Subjects in this study consisted of one teacher, two parents, and two students. Data collection techniques were using of interview, observation and documentation. This study used a method of qualitative research. This research method was used because of the researchers want to reveal the differences of coping strategies used by both children, boy, and girl when faced with the problems of social and emotional. The data analysis in this study was using data analysis interactive of Miles and Huberman model. It involves several processes including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion, and verification. The results showed that children have been able to report various forms of coping strategies. The coping strategies include seeking support (ask for help), problem-solving (solving problems), distraction (distracting), and escape (away / escape). The girl reported more dominant in seeking support strategies than a boy. Coping response with aggressive and destructive behavior more often indicated by boy than a girl.How to citeWulandari, C., & Hartati, S. (2014). Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the study implementation scientific approach to develop the active learning of science in early childhood. This research used a qualitative method to know the result of the research that can be described as factually and profound. For data collection was used interview, observation, and study the documentation by using an interactive data analysis. For the validity data, there is three kinds of triangulation was used a technique of triangulation, source of triangulation, and the theory of triangulation. The result of the research showed that to develop the science academy learning in early childhood should be implemented into five components scientific approach such as observing, questioning, experimenting, associating, and networking. Through five scientific approach components the active learning of science that was seen in children were children bound actively during learning process, children bound in solving problem during experimenting, children were brave in questioning to the teacher, children were associating to the others friends related to the result of their experiment, children train themselves to solve their problem in their experimenting; then, they conclude the result based on their experiment. Based on the scientific approach, the active learning of science in early childhood developed well. Through the research, hopefully, it gave benefit to the society, such as enhancing their knowledge, especially in early childhood education. Also, the society was able to develop the potential of academic research, especially the active learning of science in early childhood.

Abstract

Banjir merupakan salah satu bencana alam yang sering terjadi di berbagai wilayah di Indonesia. Mitigasi bencana banjir perlu dilakukan sebagai langkah kesiapsiagaan sebelum bencana tersebut terjadi. Pengenalan mitigasi bencana banjir dapat diberikan mulai dari usia dini dengan cara yang mudah dipahami anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan mitigasi bencana banjir melalui pemanfaatan media digital video pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif agar hasil penelitian dapat dideskripsikan secara faktual dan juga mendalam. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 10 anak TK B di salah satu kelas PAUD di Jakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media digital dalam bentuk video dapat digunakan sebagai sumber belajar untuk mengenalkan mitigasi bencana banjir pada anak usia dini. Anak semakin paham dengan bencana banjir dan faktor resikonya setelah melihat media digital video pembelajaran. Pengembangan program mitigasi bencana banjir dalam bentuk media digital video pembelajaran terbukti menumbuhkan pengetahuan dan juga sikap anak usia dini agar tanggap bencana sedari dini. Implementasi program mitigasi bencana melalui video pembelajaran memiliki beberapa manfaat diantaranya mudah diakses, mudah digunakan, bersifat general, dan dapat digunakan di banyak tempat
