Abstract

Indonesia is one of the largest essential oil producing countries in the world and is supported by natural resources with climatic conditions, soil and plant species that are very suitable for the growth of patchouli plants. The use of essential oils today is not only as a raw material for fragrances and cosmetics but also in the health sector. One of the basic ingredients for producing essential oils is patchouli. The main thing that needs to be considered in the processing of this essential patchouli oil is the yield it produces. This study aims to analyze the mass balance and yield in the processing of patchouli essential oil in a distillation system with 5kg, 4kg, 3kg patchouli leaf raw material variations. Distillation of patchouli leaves was carried out using the steam and water distillation method with a temperature in the kettle not exceeding 100 oC for 6 hours. The main variables in the processing of patchouli leaves into essential oil are distillation efficiency and the yield obtained. The more mass of patchouli leaves used, the more it will increase the distillation efficiency of 79.7%, 82.1% and 82.4% as well as the yield of the resulting oil increased 1.67%, 1.7% and 1.78%

Abstract

Water is an important part for the survival of all creatures. PDAM plays an important role in providing clean water and distributing it to the community. Kiarapdes Village, Purwakarta Regency has a Village-Owned Enterprise (BUMDES). PDAM has a significant role. However, decisive action is needed to ensure the efficient use of clean water. One of the efforts is to check water use through monthly reports and water meters. Obstacles arise due to delays in submitting water bills by officials which triggers the potential for fraud. The solution to overcome this problem is to implement a Web-based Quick Response Code (QR Code) Verification. The purpose of implementing a web-based QR Code as a Verification tool is to be an effective solution in preventing fraud in making PDAM Kiarapedes accounts, Purwakarta Regency. Web-based data verification system with the PDAM application name. This application system uses PHP and Python programming languages using Visual Code software and uses XAMPP and MySQL. The research method that the author uses is the Waterfall method because the work on a system is carried out sequentially. This system is expected to improve accuracy in making water accounts and reduce opportunities for fraud.

Abstract

Mung beans (Phaseolus radiatus L.) were one of the agricultural commodities that have very good prospects for development in Indonesia. Mung beans were the third most important legume commodity after soybeans and green beans. In Indonesia, green bean productivity was still low and cultivation land was limited to marginal land with a productivity of 1.1 tonnes per hectare and a potential yield of 2 tonnes per hectare (BPS, 2019). Causing factors the decline in green bean production include low soil fertility, land conversion, climate factors and cultivation factors. Efforts to increase production were by increasing soil fertility by providing complete fertilizer (NPK) and adding biological fertilizer. So it is necessary to carry out research to increase growth and production of green beans with balanced NPK fertilizer and biological fertilizer. The aim of this research was to determine the application of biological fertilizer to the growth and production of mung bean plants, to determine the application of NPK fertilizer to the growth and production of mung bean plants, to determine the interaction between biological fertilizer and NPK fertilizer on the growth and yield of mung bean plants. The research was conducted in Paleran Village, Umbulsari District, Jember Regency. The research was carried out using a Randomized Block Factorial Design (RAKF) consisting of 2 factors with 3 replications. The data obtained were analyzed of varians followed by Duncan's 5% average test. The conclusion of this research was that biological fertilizer (C2) treatment with a concentration of 5 liters per hectare has an effect on the growth and production of mung beans, NPK (P3) fertilizer treatment with a dose of 400 kg per hectare has an effect on the growth and production of  mung beans, there was an interaction between biological fertilizers 5 liters per hectare with 400 kg NPK fertilizer per hectare (C2P3) on mung bean production variables. It was recommended that the results of this research be used as recommendations for mung bean farmers to increase production on marginal land.

Abstract

KKN Tematik Terintegrasi bagi masyarakat yakni untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat dengan berperan aktif dalam mengembangkan produktifitas sumber daya pembangunan sesuai dengan fasilitas yang dimiliki. Kegiatan KKN Tematik Terintegrasi UIKA Bogor Tahun 2017 merupakan salah satu kegiatan dengan pendekatan community development, dimana pada pelaksanaan kegiatan ini melakukan proses perencanaan sekaligus aksi program Pendampingan masyarakat baik pada aspek sosial, ekonomi, kesehatan, pendidikan, hukum, dan agama maupun teknologi tepat guna secara terpadu. KKN yang diselenggarakan tahun kelompok 15 Terpofokus di desa Parung, adalah sebuah desa yang sedang mengarah ke desa perkotaan dengan luas wilayah ± 168,259 Hektar, terletak di kecamatan Parung, Kabupaten Bogor yang berbatasan langsung dengan Kota Depok. rendahnya tingkat pendidikan, sebagian besar warga Desa Parung bekerja sebagai pedagang di pasar. Kurangnya kepedulian warga RW 04 terhadap kebersihan lingkungannya, hampir seluruh warga RW 04 selalu membuang sampah ke jalanan, kebun, bantaran sungai, sehingga banyak sekali sampah-sampah organik maupun anorganik di sekitar lingkungan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini Pendekatan, Partisipasi Masyarakat dan Langkah Evaluasi.
