Abstract

This research has investigated the students’ vocabulary mastery using Anagram for the Islamic Junior High School students in Padangsidimpuan. It was done through experimental method with pre-test and post-test design, with multiple choice test. There was 39 students as experimental class as the sample of this research, and mean-score was used to analysis the data in this research.  After getting the data, the mean score of pre-test result is 51.72 and after using Anagram became 62.09. It can be said that anagram game has  given good effect to the students’ vocabulary mastery of the  VII grade students of the Islamic Junior high school students.

Abstract

This article aimed to find out the influence of students’ perception and participation of Tadris English Department students toward Reading Comprehension learning during the Covid-19 Era at IAIN Padangsidimpuan. The data were collected through students’ perception questionnaires, students' participation questionnaires, and reading comprehension tests. This research was correlational research design using a quantitative method. The subject of the research was the students’ 2nd year English department programs at IAIN Padangsidimpuan. The research sample was taken by using Total population sampling. 65 students have been used as samples in this research. Simple linear regression and multiple regression formula were used to analyze the data. The research findings showed that first, there was a significant influence on students’ perception and their Students’ Reading Comprehension with a score (0.000 0.05). Second, there was a significant influence on students’ participation and reading comprehension with scores (0.000 0.05). Third, there was a significant influence between perception and participation on students reading comprehension with a score (0.000  0.05) at  IAIN Padangsidimpuan

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of distance learning using document media, Power Point and Video Learning (VIP WALLET) in PPKN learning for students in grade 9.5 at SMPN 38 Medan for the 2020/2021 academic year. The method used is a classroom action research method which consists of two cycles. Before giving the teaching action using the VIP WALLET media, only 32.14% of students had achieved mastery learning, while 67.86% of students had not yet achieved mastery learning. In the first cycle of learning using the media combined with assignments, it was found that 85.7% of students had achieved mastery learning and as many as 14.29% had not yet achieved mastery learning. In the second cycle of learning using VIP WALLET media combined with assignments, it was found that 95.14% of students had achieved mastery learning and only 4.86% had not yet achieved mastery learning. Based on these data it is concluded that the use of document media, PowerPoints and learning videos in learning is proven to increase the effectiveness of distance learning, which is seen from the increase in learning completeness obtained by students from the initial conditions of 32.14% to 85.71% in cycle I and increased to 95.14% in cycle II or in the final condition, there was an increase of 63% from the initial condition.
