Abstract

The nature of the government is a servant to the people. Continual improvement of the public service sector in the government bureaucracy should indeed be done. This is an embodiment of good governance to answer challenges to the needs of the community in achieving clean, good and authoritative governance (clean and good governance). Restructuring must be accompanied by the development of a new bureaucratic value system and culture, which places citizens at the center of bureaucratic life and is able to lay the foundation for development and professionalism in the bureaucracy. Bureaucracy and its apparatus must be able to play an active role in realizing democratic values ​​of governance such as participation, transparency, and accountability to the public. The characteristics of public bureaucracy that tend to dominate the policy-making process and hinder public involvement in that process must be removed. Public bureaucracy must be more open and actively involve its citizens in government activities and public services.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) berupa sosialisasi pentingnya partisipasi pemilih pemula untuk siswa/siswi sekolah SMA Negeri 1 Cisarua Desa Leuwimalanng Kecamatan Cisarua Kabupaten Bogor dalam menghadapi pemilihan umum tahun 2024. Tujuan PKM ini untuk meningkatkan pemahaman generasi muda khususnya siswa SMA terhadap pengetahuan politik, untuk meningkatkan partisipasi serta kesadaran generasi muda dan untuk mencerdaskan generasi muda khususnya pemilih pemula akan pentingnya pengetahuan dan partisipasi politik khususnya. Pelaksanaan kegiatan PKM ini dilaksanakan melalui metode sosialisasi, kepada siswa/siswi yang telah memiliki hak memilih pada SMA Negeri 1 Cisarua. Berdasarkan hasil pelaksanaan kegiatan PKM, disimpulkan bahwa dengan adanya kegiatan PKM ini adalah semakin meningkatnya pemahaman terhadap partisipasi politik, baik dalam proses pemilu maupun mengawal berjalannya pembangunan

Abstract

The pursuit of political education for the general public and for educated people is to function in order to raise their awareness to be actively involved in controlling, evaluating, and increasing active participation in governance and the implementation of its policies. Political education is a continuous process, through political education that must be maintained is in shaping awareness in the role of human beings and the role of citizenship. This human role enables the development of talents and abilities of each individual, in carrying out his political functions in accordance with the status and mission of life that each individual has. While the role of citizenship invites the public to take an active role through participation in the process of thinking, dialogue and political action in order to achieve progress and improvement by realizing the role of their obligations and political rights.
