Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the supervision process in the educational program for strengthening the Pancasila student profile and the Rahmatan Lil Alamin profile (P5PPRA). In the implementation of the independent curriculum in madrasahs, there are two student profiles related to the character of students that will be developed in schools, namely the Pancasila student profile and the Rahmatan Lil Alamin student profile (P5PPRA). The role of the madrasah principal as an education supervisor is needed to provide supervision, assistance, and support in improving the quality of the P5PPRA program. The research method used is qualitative, with inductive data analysis. This research uses a phenomenological approach, which is a type of qualitative research that looks at and listens to more detailed explanations and individual understandings of experiences. The supervision methods used included classroom observation, classroom visits, and open discussions with teachers. Academic supervision has an impact on the quality of human resources in madrasahs, ensuring that P5PPRA is more focused and improving student competence, because quality human resources and the ongoing educational process can be monitored continuously to ensure education services that are centered on student needs.

Abstract

Islamic Educational Institutions (LPI) in Indonesia play a strategic role in shaping a generation of faithful, knowledgeable, and virtuous Muslims. However, in the era of globalization and digitalization, LPI faces multidimensional challenges such as human resource quality, leadership issues, and adaptation to technological advances. This study aims to analyze the implementation of transformational leadership in the context of Islamic education as a strategy to drive sustainable institutional transformation. The method used is a literature study with a qualitative analysis of the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that transformational leadership, based on Islamic values such as uswatun hasanah and fastabiqul khairat, plays a significant role in improving academic quality, building Islamic character, and strengthening institutional adaptation to technology and globalization. Effective leadership is characterized by four main dimensions: idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individual attention. Furthermore, the transformation of leadership intelligence—including intellectual, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and digital intelligence—is key to strengthening LPI's competitiveness in the era of disruption. The research findings confirm that the success of the transformation of Islamic educational institutions is largely determined by a leadership mindset that is oriented towards responsibility, service, and trust, rather than power and honor.

Abstract

This community service research aims to improve teacher performance at MTs Al Maarif Tulungagung through training and mentoring in developing deep learning-based learning tools by integrating mindful, meaningful, and joyful concepts. This PKM is implemented using the Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) Method, which focuses on utilizing and optimizing teacher potential and madrasah resources as the main assets. The program is implemented in two stages: intensive training on the concept and framework of Deep Learning, followed by practical mentoring in developing Teaching Modules based on this approach. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in teacher competency. After the program, all teachers successfully completed the development of Deep Learning-based Teaching Modules. In general, this community service activity has succeeded in empowering teachers. The resulting Teaching Modules have the potential to improve the quality of learning by facilitating more meaningful, conscious, and enjoyable learning experiences for students, which will ultimately improve teachers' professional performance independently and sustainably.

Abstract

The relationship between religion and science in Islamic education has developed as a response to the longstanding dichotomy between religious knowledge and general (secular) sciences, a division that has shaped educational structures and societal mindsets and produced an enduring epistemological gap. This study aims to analyze and categorize the dominant paradigms governing the relationship between religion and science and to examine their implications for Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Using a qualitative literature review, the study analyzes books and peer-reviewed journals addressing religion–science relations through the analytical framework of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, encompassing data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings identify four principal paradigms in religion–science relations: conflict, independence, dialogue, and integration. Among these, the integrative paradigm is regarded as the most comprehensive, as it seeks to reconcile empirical inquiry with transcendental values while respecting their distinct epistemological foundations. Within PAI learning, this paradigm is reflected in curriculum design, interdisciplinary pedagogical approaches, and the incorporation of spiritual and ethical values into science-related instruction. The novelty of this study lies in its systematic synthesis of philosophical paradigms of religion–science relations with their pedagogical application in the Indonesian Islamic higher education context, particularly within UIN, IAIN, and STAIN. The study concludes that relating religion and science is not merely an academic project but also a cultural and spiritual process that supports a holistic understanding of reality and promotes Islamic education that remains responsive to contemporary challenges.

Abstract

This study examines the role of effective communication by school principals in increasing the productivity of educational institutions, particularly Islamic educational institutions. Communication is a fundamental element of organizational culture and directly influences the success of program implementation, decision-making, and the performance of all school members. Various communication barriers, such as misinterpretation of messages, one-way communication patterns, and inconsistencies in meaning, are the main causes of organizational failure in achieving goals. In the context of Islamic education, the communication characteristics of an ideal leader refer to the example of the Prophet Muhammad, including gentleness, moderation, tolerance, forgiveness, deliberation, and commitment. These characteristics have been shown to improve interpersonal relationships, create a positive school climate, and support student character development. The productivity of educational institutions is influenced by various factors such as teacher competence, leadership, infrastructure, organizational culture, and financial management. Effective communication is a connecting factor that ensures all these components work synergistically.
