Abstract

The data contained ranging from business transactions to government is very large in size so we need a system that can sort and select the data. Intense competition in the business world, especially in the food industry or supermarkets, requires developers to find strategies that can increase sales. Data mining is used to find patterns and regularities in data sets that are hidden by using technology. In knowing the products purchased by consumers, developers can use market basket analysis, namely an analysis of consumer buying habits and then detect products that consumers often buy simultaneously using association rules. Search for associations or relationships between items taken from a relational database using an a priori algorithm to form candidate item combinations and then tested whether the combination meets the minimum support and confidence parameters which are the threshold values ​​given by the user. Furthermore, it is applied by performing query processing, decision making and so on. Data mining applications with the association rule method have been able to perform calculations correctly as expected. The knowledge generated by the application and manual calculations is 17.2% of all transactions, granulated sugar and pomegranate cooking oil are purchased simultaneously. And of all transactions that buy granulated sugar, 55.5% will buy Pomegranate Cooking Oil. 17.2% of all transactions, Pomegranate Cooking Oil and Granulated Sugar are purchased simultaneously. And of all transactions that buy Pomegranate Cooking Oil, 55.5% will buy granulated sugar.

Abstract

The advancement and rapid spread of the internet poses a challenge to provide more optimal network quality at the Ahmad Dahlan Institute of Technology and Business educational institutions (ITB-AD). To help manage the existing network, the campus uses a proxy as the main manager of the existing hotspot network. The problem experienced is that the hotspot login display still uses the default default from Mikrotik, blocking has not been applied to accessing adult content, the efficiency of available bandwidth has not been properly distributed, and there is no scheduled access to existing network users. The aim of this research is to optimize the quality of the ITB-AD hotspot network. To help solve problems that exist in research, researchers use the Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC) as a methodology in research. The results of this study are able to provide additional custom configurations for hotspot login displays, application of adult content blocking, burst bandwidth as bandwidth efficiency and implement access schedules for users in the hotspot network. The conclusion of the study is that using the NDLC method can optimize the quality of the ITB-AD hotspot network.

Abstract

LPG gas leaks can become a serious threat to human safety and health, especially if they are not detected quickly and accurately in the main control system for this LPG gas leak detection system and even if the worst possibilities occur, such as a spark which could result in a light fire. This research uses the Prototype method. Another goal is to minimize the risk of accidents when using LPG gas stoves, and reduce the risk of damage and material losses arising from gas leaks and fires caused by LPG gas stoves. Design and manufacture of hardware and software by developing the MQ-2 sensor detection algorithm which is used to detect gas leaks and Flame sensors for fire detection. Testing is carried out by simulating various test scenarios from the use of gas sensors and fire sensors. The test results show that this system is capable of detecting detected gas and fire. Tests are carried out alternately between gas sensors and fire sensors. The output on the system is in the form of SMS notifications, Bazzer and LED lights. SMS notification using SIM800L. When a fire is detected there will be an SMS notification "API DETECTED!!!", the bazzer will sound and the red LED will light up. When gas is detected there will be an SMS notification "GAS DETECTED!!!!" and the yellow LED will light up, the maximum limit if gas is detected is 10cm and the maximum limit if fire is detected is 30 cm. In conclusion, the tool is made using the Arduino Nano microcontroller, by making a cable design on the PCB board, after which the soldering process or connecting the modules is carried out.

Abstract

Motor vehicle theft continues to pose a significant issue, primarily due to the vulnerability of security systems relying on manual keys. Thieves are well-versed in exploiting this weakness, necessitating innovative solutions. This study's objective is to design a tool that employs a GPS tracker and SMS to provide precise location coordinates. Additionally, it aims to deter motor vehicle theft by interrupting the electric current flow in the vehicle. Using the Research and Development (R&D) method based on prior research, the outcome is a system capable of providing location points at extensive distances beyond conventional vehicle boundaries. In summary, this device interacts by sending pre-programmed commands to Arduino Uno, with ON functioning to activate electrical systems, OFF for deactivation, and LOCATION for requesting navigational position messages.

Abstract

An ad-hoc network is a topology that directly connects a wireless network between end users to other end users without using other connected devices. For example, a network between a computer and another computer uses wireless transmission media. The interface used is a wireless card or wireless USB or other end user network device. The implementation of this particular topology is very convenient and very easy because it does not require much configuration, just create an adhoc network as a station on one of the computers and then configure the IP address. This research aims to see the performance produced when there is a delay, and throughput to see stable results, this method uses NDLC (Network Devlopment Life Cycle) to analyze the resulting performance with QOS (Quality Of Service) parameters for calculating results according to TIPHON (Telecommunication) standards and internet protocol hormoneization over network) 5.5% to 100% good results with this stability (data sharing and communication carried out in the office with predetermined bandwidth management so that it can be used according to the required capacity experiences quite different changes so that the resulting performance is appropriate or not too far from the standard results with 3.5% and 5.5% which is much more stable for the resulting performance.

Abstract

In this study, a new neural network model (EfficientNet B1-B2) was sought for the detection of brain tumors in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) images. The primary objective was to achieve high accuracy rates so as to classify the images. The deep learning techniques meticulously processed and increased the data augmentation as much as possible for the EfficientNet B1-B2 models. Our experimental results show an accuracy of 98% in the B1 version in Table II. This provides a potentially optimistic view of the application of artificial intelligence technology to disease diagnosis based on medical image analysis. Nonetheless, we must remind ourselves that the dataset we used has limitations in terms of the challenges it can pose. Although the number of potential variations of actual medical images constitutes a major challenge, it is not the only one. Most medical datasets are unbalanced, contain highly variable noise, have a slow internal structure, and are often small in size. Hence, our end goal is to help stimulate not only the field of brain tumor detection and treatment but also the development of more sophisticated classification models in the health context.

Abstract

ITB Ahmad Dahlan merupakan salah satu kampus yang memanfaatkan teknologi informasi, salah satu teknologi yang digunakan adalah dengan membangun aplikasi E-library ITB Ahmad Dahlan JKT. Meskipun telah mengalami pengembangan, terungkap bahwa pihak perpustakaan kampus masih menganggap aplikasi tersebut belum mencapai tingkat kesempurnaan yang optimal, baik secara tampilan maupun fitur-fitur yang belum sepenuhnya memenuhi kebutuhan pengguna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi usability dan memberikan rekomendasi perbaikan melalui user interface dalam bentuk prototipe pada aplikasi. Pengumpulan data diawali dengan observasi dan studi literatur, dilanjutkan dengan wawancara. Pada tahap perancangan digunakan pendekatan Human Centered Design (HCD) yang terdiri dari analisis konteks penggunaan, analisis kebutuhan pengguna, pembuatan desain solusi, dan evaluasi desain solusi. Evaluasi desain awal menggunakan metode Heuristic Evaluation (HE) ditemukan 8 masalah pada prinsip heuristic dan System Usability Scale (SUS) diperoleh rata-rata skor usability sebesar 57,08. Sedangkan pada desain solusi, metode HE hanya menemukan 3 masalah dan SUS mendapatkan rata-rata skor usability sebesar 78,16, yang menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan. Melalui wawancara akhir, dapat disimpulkan bahwa desain solusi berhasil mengatasi permasalahan desain awal. Secara keseluruhan, penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada pengembangan aplikasi melalui pendekatan HCD yang terintegrasi dengan evaluasi HE dan SUS, sehingga menghasilkan peningkatan usability aplikasi terhadap kebutuhan pengguna dan penerimaan yang baik untuk meningkatkan pengalaman pengguna.

Abstract

The development of a web-based Decision Support System (DSS) using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to evaluate and select students eligible for assistance based on predetermined criteria has been successfully accomplished. The SAW method involves six assessment criteria: family members (0.1), parental employment status (0.15), residence status (0.1), monthly income (0.3), student absenteeism (0.15), and academic achievement (0.2). The primary aim of this DSS is to streamline the decision-making process for teachers and administrators at SDN Panunggangan 4. Employing this algorithm, the system automatically ranks students based on their highest scores to prioritize those deserving of assistance. The study was centered on 32 sixth-grade students. Moving forward, it is hoped that this application can be enhanced and implemented more extensively.

Abstract

Mental health is one of the most important aspects of human life, especially in the modern era, which is filled with stress and challenges. However, many individuals are reluctant or face difficulties in accessing mental health services due to social stigma and limited resources. To address this challenge, this study developed a web-based expert system to predict an individual's mental health condition using the Forward Chaining method. The Forward Chaining method is utilized to analyze symptoms inputted by users based on predefined rules, enabling the system to provide accurate initial diagnoses and appropriate recommendations. The application is designed to be user-friendly and easily accessible, assisting individuals in obtaining mental health information and support without fear of stigma. Additionally, the system also has the potential to serve as a supporting tool for mental health professionals in providing efficient initial diagnoses.

Abstract

Rewarding employees is one of the important strategies for improving motivation and performance within an organization. However, many companies face difficulties in determining which employees deserve rewards in a fair and objective manner. This research aims to develop a Decision Support System (DSS) that can assist in determining which employees are entitled to receive rewards based on several relevant criteria, using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method. The SAW method is chosen for its ability to solve decision-making problems that involve multiple criteria with multi-attribute characteristics. The criteria used in this study include performance, discipline, contribution to the team, and initiative. The results of the study indicate that the application of the SAW method can produce objective and transparent decisions, as well as provide a solid basis for rewarding employees. The employee alternative with the highest score based on the SAW calculation is selected as the reward recipient, which is expected to enhance employee motivation and performance within the company. This research is expected to contribute to the development of a more systematic and data-driven reward system.
