Abstract

Tunagrahita merupakan anak-anak yang memiliki kemampuan intelektual dan kognitif yang berada di bawah rata-rata dibandingkan orang pada umumnya. Kondisi ini biasanya mulai terdeteksi ketika masih dalam usia dini. Anak-anak tunagrahita memiliki hambatan akademik khususnya dalam hal pemahaman yang lambat. Pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membantu anak-anak tuna grahita meningkatkan pemahaman terhadap pelajaran dasar. Metode yang dilakukan dalam mendukung pendidikan anak-anak tunagrahita adalah pendampingan belajar yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Pendampingan belajar dilakukan dengan pengajaran terhadap materi-materi dasar seperti menulis, membaca, menggambar, pengenalan terhadap tumbuhan dan hewan. Proses evaluasi dilakukan dengan memberikan pre test dan post test pada saat sebelum diberikan pendampingan belajar dan setelah diberikan pendampingan belajar. Hasil dari pendampingan belajar tunagrahita ini adalah peningkatan pemahaman pelajaran dari belum ada anak yang belum mengeri menjadi 8 dari 13 anak yang paham materi yang telah diajarkan. Pengabdian masyarakat ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman anak-anak tunagrahita dan membangun motivasi anak-anak tersebut untuk menatap masa depan dengan cerah.

Abstract

Based on Law Number 1 of 1970 concerning Occupational Safety is not only applied in industry, but in all workplaces, it is mandatory to apply Safety and Security (K3), one of which is in education both at school and college levels which have a high risk of danger. The cause of work accidents occurs due to Unsafe Action factors reaching 88% and 10% Unsafe Conditions. Health and Safety Executive data states that 90% of accidents are caused by human error. The purpose of the research is to design AC and DC electrical safety training modules that can be used as practicum media for students in understanding the basic principles of electrical risk control and prevention of explosion hazards due to errors in electrical systems. The engineering and development method is the design and fabrication of training modules, which consist of AC and DC electrical devices, equipped with risk control systems such as automatic circuit breakers, grounding systems, and short circuit protection. The results show that the circuit design consists of 2 circuits, namely AC and DC circuits. The circuits can be separated and can be combined by considering making it easier to carry out practicum and maintenance processes to prevent failures in the system that can cause accidents.

Abstract

Abstract: Hazardous and toxic materials (B3) are materials that can cause harm to living organisms, materials, buildings, or the environment due to explosion or fire hazard, corrosion, poisoning for organisms, as well as devastating consequences. The method for carrying out B3 classification is by using the Hazmat Tool. Before using the Hazmat Tool, an observation was made to find out the chemicals in Laboratory X. Based on the observations, a list of the chemicals used was obtained, then a classification was carried out to determine the storage of chemicals and after carrying out the design requirements for storing chemicals in prevent potential hazards of chemicals in Laboratory X. The classification of these chemicals is expected to increase institutional and laboratory staff knowledge regarding the importance of knowing how to store chemicals in the workplace.
