Abstract

The aims of this study were to: 1) determine the effect of study habits on student achievement; 2) knowing the effect of interest in learning on student achievement; and 3) determine the effect of study habits and interest in learning on student achievement. This study uses a quantitative approach with a correlational type. The population in this study were class VIII students, totaling 358 students with a total sample of 189 students. The technique of collecting data on study habits and interest in learning is in the form of distributing questionnaires, while learning achievement is obtained through documentation of even semester PTS scores. The data analysis technique used included multiple linear regression analysis, T test, and F test. The results showed that 1) there was no effect between study habits on student achievement (p=0.610 > α=0.05); 2) there is an influence between learning interest on student achievement (p=0.003 < α=0.05); and 3) there is an influence between students' learning habits and students' learning interest on student achievement (p=0.003 > α=0.05). Abstrak Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk: 1) mengetahui pengaruh kebiasaan belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa; 2) mengetahui pengaruh minat belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa; dan 3) mengetahui pengaruh kebiasaan belajar dan minat belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis korelasional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII yang berjumlah 358 siswa dengan jumlah sampel 189 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data kebiasaan belajar dan minat belajar berupa penyebaran angket, sedangkan prestasi belajar diperoleh melalui dokumentasi nilai PTS semester genap. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan meliputi analisis regresi linear berganda, Uji T, dan Uji F. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) tidak terdapat pengaruh antara kebiasaan belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa (p=0,610 > α=0,05); 2) terdapat pengaruh antara minat belajar terhadap prestasi belajar siswa (p=0,003 < α=0,05); dan 3) terdapat pengaruh antara kebiasaan belajar siswa dan minat belajar siswa terhadap prestasi belajar siswa (p=0,003 > α=0,05).

Abstract

Type cooperative learning model jigsaw is a learning model where students can collaborate, cooperate, and be responsible for understanding certain material and deliver it to a group of friends. So that its application in learning activities can indirectly foster the value of students' social care. The purpose of carrying out this research is to describe how to plan, implement and evaluate the type of cooperative learning model jigsaw to foster the value of students' social care in social studies class VIII students at MTsN 4 Pasuruan. The type of research used in qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The data collection technique was through observation, documentation, and interviews with resource persons from the madrasah head, deputy head of curriculum, social studies teacher and several class VIII students. Furthermore, the data was analyzed through several stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions and verification. The results of this study indicate the type of cooperative learning planning model jigsaw to foster the value of social care, namely by starting to compile a lesson plan that is integrated with the value of social care. While in its implementation through six stages of learning in which the application of students shows an attitude that reflects the value of social care. As for the evaluation of the learning process by implementing the type cooperative model jigsaw can foster students' social caring attitudes such as accepting differences, mutual respect,cooperation and positive interdependence, in which these attitudes appear during the learning process. As for that obstacles appear in learning activities namely the condition of students who differ both in terms of ability or motivation to learn, then in terms of time, and the readiness of all components in the application of the learning model. Abstrak Model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw merupakan model pembelajaran dimana siswa dapat berkolaborasi, bekerjasama, dan bertanggung jawab untuk memahami materi tertentu dan menyampaikannya kepada teman satu kelompoknya. Sehingga pada penerapannya dalam kegiatan pembelajaran secara tidak langsung dapat menumbuhkan nilai kepedulian sosial siswa. Tujuan dilaksanakannya penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana perencanaan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw untuk menumbuhkan nilai kepedulian sosial siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS siswa kelas VIII MTsN 4 Pasuruan. Adapun jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan datanya melalui observasi, dokumentasi, dan wawancara dengan narasumber kepala madrasah, wakil kepala bidang kurikulum, guru IPS dan beberapa siswa kelas VIII. Selanjutnya data dianalisis melalui beberapa tahapan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan kesimpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan Perencanaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw untuk menumbuhkan nilai kepedulian sosial yaitu dengan mulai menyusun RPP yang diintegrasikan dengan nilai kepedulian sosial. Sedangkan dalam pelaksanaannya melalui enam tahapan pembelajaran yang mana dalam penerapannya siswa menunjukkan sikap yang mencerminkan nilai kepedulian sosial. Adapun Evaluasi proses pembelajaran dengan mengimplementasikan model kooperatif tipe jigsaw dapat menumbuhkan sikap kepedulian sosial siswa seperti menerima perbedaan, saling menghargai, kerjasama dan saling ketergantungan positif, yang mana sikap-sikap tersebut tampak selama proses pembelajaran berlangsung. Adapun hambatan yang muncul dalam kegiatan pembelajaran yakni kondisi siswa yang berbeda-beda baik itu dari segi kemampuan ataupun motivasi belajarnya, kemudian dalam aspek waktu, dan kesiapan seluruh komponen dalam penerapan model pembelajaran tersebut.

Abstract

Islamic university students in Indonesia must improve disaster literacy by developing science-Islamic integrated disaster geography textbooks. This study aims to determine the appropriateness of science-Islamic integrated disaster geography textbooks and the effect of using them on students’ learning outcomes. The Dick and Carey model was used in this development. The product was validated by experts in material, design, and the integration of Islamic science and tested on students and lecturers on a limited basis. The experiment subjects were 27 Social Science Education students from Universitas Islam Negeri Maulana Malik Ibrahim Malang. Instruments are in the form of a questionnaire to determine the appropriateness of the book and test questions to determine the effect of book products on learning outcomes. Data were analyzed descriptively and using an independent sample t-test. The results showed that science-Islamic integrated disaster geography textbooks were appropriate for use in learning with an effective category (appropriateness score = 81.08%). The use of science-Islamic integrated disaster geography textbooks affected students’ learning outcomes (p=0.000) < α=0.05). Further research suggests developing digital books on other materials because the Islamic science integration curriculum has been proven to improve students’ learning outcomes in Islamic universities.
