Abstract

In the term of office of the legislators 2004/2009 period, a lot of the Bills which passed into legislation were not in favour of the people. Because of that, those      Bills became prejudice to the society due to the lack of conformation to what the people aspired to in the constitution (UUD 1945) which is the source and basis for the establishment of the legislation. Therefore, many legislation were tested with judicialreview by the constitutional court on the application of the public. Based on this judical review and the usage of normative research by the author, it is found that substances of the legislation are contrary to the constitution (UUD 1945). Because the legislation specified in the list of Prolegnas made by the parlement (DPR) and the President has not fully used clear, precise and consistent criteria. Therefore, the legislation established by parlement 2004/2009 period do not meet the principles of the establishment of the legislation according to the act Number  12 Year  2011 on the establishment of the legislation.

Abstract

Pendidikan matematika memiliki peranan penting dalam mempersiapkan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas. Namun, kualitas pendidikan matematika di Indonesia masih perlu ditingkatkan berdasarkan hasil survei internasional seperti PISA dan TIMSS, serta hasil Ujian Nasional (UN) Matematika tingkat SMP. Pada PISA 2022, Indonesia menempati peringkat ke-64 dari 81 negara dengan skor rata-rata 366, jauh di bawah rata-rata skor OECD 500. Sementara pada TIMSS 2015, Indonesia menempati peringkat ke-44 dari 49 negara dengan skor 397. Hasil serupa juga terlihat pada UN Matematika SMP, di mana pada tahun 2019 rata-rata nilainya hanya 46,56. Upaya peningkatan kualitas pendidikan matematika di Indonesia perlu dilakukan secara komprehensif. Pertama, meningkatkan prestasi dan hasil belajar siswa dengan memperhatikan kualitas guru bersertifikasi. Kedua, memberikan pelatihan dan pengembangan profesional bagi guru matematika secara berkelanjutan. Ketiga, mengembangkan kurikulum dan metode pengajaran yang sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman. Keempat, menyediakan fasilitas dan sumber belajar yang memadai untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran matematika yang efektif. Dengan upaya tersebut, diharapkan kualitas pendidikan matematika di Indonesia dapat meningkat dan mampu menghasilkan lulusan yang memiliki kemampuan matematika yang baik serta siap menghadapi tantangan global.

Abstract

The development of scientific knowledgestarting from a problem that often arises because the existing theory is seen as unable to solve or is no longer adequate to overcome the problem. The progressive legal theory initiated by Satjipto Rahardjo was born when the existing legal theory was seen as no longer adequate to overcome legal problems in Indonesian society. However, the problem with the progressive legal theory that has not been seriously touched on so far is the scientific nature of the progressive legal theory as a theory from the perspective of the philosophy of science. According to Popper, a theory is scientific if and only if it can be refuted by an event that can be imagined. Falsification for Popper is a demarcation criterion that provides a distinction between scientific and non-scientific theories or pseudoscience. Therefore, it is important to conduct research on whether the progressive legal theory is a scientific, non-scientific, or pseudoscience theory? so that the progressive legal theory undergoes corroboration (confirmation). This study uses a library research method with a qualitative approach, using a descriptive method (descriptive-analytical). The results of this study are based on the application of falsification to the progressive legal theory, which has a theoretical corein the form of a hypothesis“law is not just a matter of rule, but also of behavior”, isNofalsifiable, thus non-scientific. However, this does not mean that progressive legal theory is not enlightening or meaningless.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) model in enhancing students’ conceptual understanding and mathematical communication skills. The research method employed is a systematic literature review involving the collection, evaluation, and synthesis of data from academic sources such as journals, books, and scientific articles related to the RME model and Vygotsky’s learning theory in mathematics education contexts. The findings indicate that the implementation of the RME model significantly improves students’ conceptual understanding compared to conventional teaching methods. Moreover, the integration of Vygotsky’s theory supports the learning process through social interaction, which strengthens mathematical communication skills. The RME approach, which connects mathematics to real-world contexts, provides meaningful learning experiences that facilitate students in understanding and effectively communicating mathematical concepts. These results suggest that the RME model is a viable strategy for improving the quality of mathematics learning, particularly in conceptual understanding and communication skills.
