Abstract

Mosque structure are typical public building where Muslim follower doing their worship and social activities. These structures are common in Indonesia where the dangerous earthquake usually happens. This paper is aimed to study of passive control of a typical 2-storey Mosque structure using diagonal and toggle brace damper. At the first, we build a simplified structure model of 2 degree of freedom (2DOF) for controlled and uncontrolled system. In this study, we create 5 cases where case 1 as uncontrolled system. Then we compared the dynamic responses of the structure cases subjected to 1940 El Centro earthquake record using time history analysis (THA). The effect of the geometric configuration of the damper attached to the structure which influenced by the magnification factor will be studied.

Abstract

A training program on the use of Autodesk Revit software for steel construction projects was conducted at SMK Negeri 2 Palembang. The primary goal of this training was to enhance the knowledge and skills of teachers and students in digitally modeling and drafting steel structure buildings using the Building Information Modeling (BIM) concept. The training began with an initial survey of participants’ knowledge about BIM and Revit, which revealed limited understanding, particularly regarding Revit's application in steel construction projects. The training covered the introduction of BIM concepts, tutorials on modeling steel structures (columns, beams, trusses, steel joints), and the creation of technical details in Revit. Additionally, a final survey was conducted to evaluate the impact of the training on participants’ comprehension. Results showed that 69% of participants found the training highly beneficial, and 63% expressed intentions to use Revit in future steel construction projects. The training successfully improved the technical skills of participants and broadened their understanding of the importance of BIM in modern construction industries.

Abstract

Penerapan Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) pada proyek konstruksi sangat penting untuk meningkatkan efisiensi, efektivitas, dan keselamatan pekerja. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilaksanakan di CV. Sarana Mitra Teknik, sebuah perusahaan konstruksi di Palembang, bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran mengenai prinsip-prinsip K3 dalam pekerjaan konstruksi. Materi pelatihan mencakup pemahaman regulasi K3, penggunaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD), serta Alat Pemadam Api Ringan (APAR). Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa peserta memahami pentingnya K3 dalam proyek konstruksi dan memperoleh wawasan baru mengenai penggunaan APD dan APAR. Evaluasi melalui kuesioner mengungkapkan bahwa 80% peserta mengalami peningkatan pemahaman tentang K3 setelah mengikuti pelatihan. Kegiatan ini mendukung penerapan K3 yang optimal di perusahaan untuk meningkatkan keselamatan dan produktivitas.
