Abstract

Mitra Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini adalah mahasiswa pendidikan kimia prodi Pendidikan Kimia, Jurusan Kimia Universitas Negeri Makassar. Mahasiswa kimia membutuhkan kemampuan dan konsep yang jelas tentang ilmu spektroskopi guna memahami symbol-simbol yang mewakili penentuan struktur suatu senyawa. terutama pemahaman tentang spektrum Spektrosfotometri Infra Merah (FTIR), hanya saja mahasiswa mendapatkan kesulitan  dalam mengolah hasil FTIR yang pada akhirnya  menjadi boomerang bagi mahasiswa kimia terutama bagi mahasiswa Pendidikan kimia. Spektrosfotometri Infra Merah (FTIR), adalah salah satu metode penentuan gugus fungsi suatu molekul berdasarkan interaksi molekul dengan radiasi elektromagnetik dengan kisaran Panjang gelombang 0.75-1000 µm. dengan menggunakan Metode Transfer ilmu dan pengetahuan (IPTEKS) yang dilakukan oleh tim pengabdi melalui proses mendengar, mengetahui, mencoba, mengevaluasi dan melaksanakan memberikan hasil yang cukup signifikan. Dimana dari hasil pretest yang sebelum hampir 60% belum dapat menginterpretasikan hasil kromatogram FTIR setelah mengikuti PKM ini, meningkat menjadi 70% mampu mengerjakan soal kromatogram FTIR, dimana berdasarkan survey hal ini disebabkan cara panitia PKM dalam menjelaskan materi sangat mudah dipahami oleh peserta.

Abstract

The deep learning approach emerges as a strategic solution aimed at fostering comprehensive conceptual understanding through real life experiences, reflective activities, and active engagement in learning within the natural material learning center. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method with a phenomenological research design. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and documentation of learning activities in the natural-material center using the deep learning approach. The research subjects consisted of three teachers at TKIT Al-Hasan Gowa who implemented deep learning in the natural-material learning center. The data were analyzed using the Miles & Huberman model, which includes data collection, data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing or verification. The results of the study indicate that teachers have a positive perception of the application of the deep learning approach in natural materials-based learning. The implementation of this approach encourages children to think critically, understand concepts comprehensively, and learn from direct experiences. Implementing deep learning in nature-based learning centers provides children with ample opportunities to experiment directly with various materials such as leaves, water, and rocks. However, the implementation still faces various challenges, including limited learning time and a lack of supporting resources. Therefore, support from schools and the government is needed to provide learning facilities and training for teachers so that the deep learning approach can be effectively optimized at TKIT Al-Hasan Gowa.   ABSTRAK Pendekatan deep learning hadir sebagai solusi strategis yang bertujuan untuk mendorong pemahaman konsep secara komprehensif melalui pengalaman nyata, reflektif dan keterlibatan aktif dalam proses pembelajaran sentra bahan alam. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan jenis penelitian fenomenologi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi kegiatan pembelajaran sentra bahan alam dengan pendekatan deep learning. Subjek penelitian diperoleh dari tiga guru TKIT Al-Hasan Gowa yang menerapkan pembelajaran sentra bahan alam melalui pendekatan deep learning dan data di analisis menggunakan Miles & Huberman dari pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan ataupun verifikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru memiliki persepsi positif terhadap penerapan pendekatan deep learning dalam pembelajaran sentra bahan alam. Implementasi pendekatan ini mampu mendorong anak berpikir kritis, memahami konsep secara menyeluruh, serta belajar dari pengalaman langsung. Melalui pelaksanaan deep learning dalam kegiatan sentra bahan alam memberikan kesempatan luas bagi anak untuk bereksperimen secara langsung dengan berbagai material seperti daun, air, dan batu. Namun, pelaksanaannya masih menemukan beragam kendala berupa keterbatasan waktu pembelajaran dan minimnya sarana pendukung. Oleh karena itu, dukungan pihak sekolah maupun pemerintah diharapkan mampu menyediakan fasilitas pembelajaran dan pelatihan bagi guru agar optimalisasi penerapan pendekatan deep learning di TKIT Al-Hasan Gowa berlangsung secara efektif.

Abstract

Early childhood literacy development is in its initial stages and remains heavily influenced by learning experiences that are concrete, repetitive, interactive, and aligned with children's developmental characteristics. This study aims to examine the impact of interactive learning media specifically "letter puppets" on the letter recognition skills of children aged 4–5 years. A quantitative approach was employed using a quasi-experimental design (specifically, a non-equivalent group design). The study involved 16 children, evenly divided into experimental and control groups. Data collection was conducted through observation, pre-test and post-test evaluations, and documentation. The experimental group received instruction using letter puppet media, while the control group used alphabet posters. The results indicate a significant improvement in letter recognition skills among children who learned using the letter puppet media. Improvements were observed in the ability to recognize letter sounds, identify letter shapes, and locate letters within words. Data analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed-Rank test revealed a difference in children's letter recognition abilities before and after the intervention with letter puppet media in the experimental group. The Wilcoxon test was used to compare pre-test and post-test scores for letter recognition within the experimental group. The test results showed a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.012. Since the p-value (0.012) is less than 0.05, the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected, and the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) was accepted. Thus, there is a significant difference in children's letter recognition abilities before and after the intervention using the interactive letter puppet learning media.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of MagicSchool.AI (AI Resource Bot) as a learning medium within the Discovery Learning model on students’ motivation and learning outcomes in the acid–base topic among Grade XI students at SMAN 5 Gowa. The subjects consisted of Grade XI students enrolled in the 2024/2025 academic year. Employing a quasi-experimental design, the study investigated the relationship between variables involving both control and experimental groups through a Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. The analysis of students’ learning motivation in the experimental group revealed a significant increase after the implementation of MagicSchool.AI. Prior to the intervention, the average motivation score was 79.70 (high category), which increased to 93.50 (very high category) after the learning activities. Meanwhile, the control group’s motivation score rose from 78.15 (high category) to 89.98 (very high category). The Independent Samples T-Test for learning motivation yielded a p-value of 0.013 (< 0.05), indicating that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. The normality test (One-Sample Kolmogorov–Smirnov) showed an Asymp. Sig value of 0.193 (> 0.05), confirming normal data distribution. Additionally, the Independent-Samples T-Test for learning outcomes yielded a significance value of 0.011 (< 0.05). Overall, the findings indicate that the use of MagicSchool.AI significantly enhances both students’ motivation and learning outcomes.
