Abstract

The extract of leaf, fruit and tree bark of tembelekang (L. camara Linn.) as antibacterial activity to Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli has been studied using agar diffusion method. The extract producted with extraction with maseration fraction teqnique. The aim of this research is to show the potential L. camara plant as antibacterial to against Staphylocuccus aureus and Escherichia coli. The research result showed that extract of leaf of L. camara plant having potency as antibacterial and showing that there is a real correlation between the L. camara plant as the medicinal plant and the bioactive compounds contained in it.

Abstract

Coconut plantations (Cocos nucifera) are one of the leading commodities of estate crops in Pinrang and these plants are more numerous than other plants in community plantations. However, the role of coconut as a raw material for cooking oil, is currently sinking and displaced by the presence of palm oil commodities. Utilization of by-products has not been done much by farmers, so the added value of farming has not been obtained optimally. Even though many processed products from coconut have the potential to provide high added value, as well as in creating jobs. Lately, virgin coconut oil has also developed, namely VCO (Virgin coconut oil) which is a food supplement and also a medicine. Farmer groups in Pinrang district are one of the farmer groups that have problems with coconut income, namely the use of coconuts has not been maximized and its storage capacity is relatively short. To overcome this problem, the community service team from Makassar State University and the coconut farmers group in Pinrang district discussed the process of managing coconut. The target is expected to be achieved after the implementation of whether community service activities through the coconut oil into VCO program will be able to produce VCO with better quantity and quality, so that the maximum results can expand its business by diversifying coconut products into VCO for health. This research was conducted through two stages, namely the provision of material about VCO and its use, and guidance in making VCO. Based on the results obtained, most people understand the VCO material delivered and are able to make the VCO.

Abstract

Covid 19 is a pandemic disease that is not only take effected by Indonesian people, but this extraordinary incident is also hit by almost all countries in the world, with the number of positive Covid 19 rising gradually, the numbers counting more than 1000 people per day based on World Health Organization (WHO) data. Covid 19 is a disease caused by a virus that attacks the respiratory tract with an incubation time ranging from 5 to 14 days, to fighting this pandemic disease, the awareness of the public is the importance, one of which is the use of a hand sanitizer. The importance of health education in fighting the C0vid 19 virus among mothers is the goal of this PKM, started on the family education, due to the mother is the most importen person biside father in the household, for that the PKM targets are mothers in the complex for making Hand sanitizer. From the results of the training, it was concluded that the enthusiasm of the Citra Mas complex women was great in participating.   The training started by providing information about the importance of maintaining health during a pandemic among families, how to make hand sanitizers using natural ingredients such as aloe vera, and how to packing.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kadar timbal (Pb)  yang terdapat dalam ikan beronang. Ikan Beronang yang dianalisis terbagi atas 2 jenis ikan yaitu ikan beronang angin dan ikan beronang tompel.Kedua jenis ikan tersebut kemudian dibagi atas 2 bagian yaitu daging dan perut. Tahapan penelitian terdiri dari pengambilan sampel, preparasi sampel, dan analisis sampel yang dilakukan di  Balai Besar Laboratorium Kesehatan Makassar dengan menggunakan metode  spektrofotometri serapan atom (spektrofotometer Shimadzu AA-6200). Hasil analisis diperoleh kadar timbal  (Pb) pada ikan beronang angin (sampel A) dan ikan beronang tompel (sampel B) adalah konsentrasi timbal tertinggi terdapat pada sampel B1 (daging), yaitu sebesar 0,33 ppm atau 1,65 mg/kg, diikuti konsentrasi timbal pada sampel A2 (perut) yaitu 0,32 ppm atau 1,60 mg/kg, dan konsentrasi timbal pada sampel B2 (perut) yaitu 0,31 ppm atau 1,55 mg/kg sedangkan konsentrasi timbal yang terendah terdapat pada sampel A1 (daging) dengan konsentrasi 0,30 ppm atau 1,50 mg/kg. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kandungan logam timbal (Pb) yang terdapat pada pada ikan beronang yang berasal dari Pulau Tanakeke Kabupaten Takalar tidak melebihi ambang batas menurut Ditjen Pengawasan Obat dan Makanan yaitu sebesar 2,0 mg/kg. Kata kunci : Ikan Beronang, Kadar Timbal (Pb) dan Pulau Tanakeke. ABSTRACT This  research  aims  to determine  the  levels of  lead  (Pb) contained in Beronang fish. There are 2 types of Baronang  we were analzed, they are Baronang  angin and beronang tompel. Both of  types of fish are then divided into 2 part  sampels namely meat and stomach. Stages of the research consisted of sampling technique, sample preparation and sample analysis, were analyzed at the Central Health of  Makassar Laboratory  by using atomic absorption spectrophotometry (Shimadzu AA-6200 spectrophotometer). The results obtained of lead in beronang angin (sample A) and beronang tompel (sample B) fish, we founded highest lead concentration in sample B1(meat), which is 0.33 ppm or 1.65 mg/kg, followed by the concentration of  lead in samples A2 (abdomen) is 0.32 ppm or 1.60 mg/kg, and the concentration of lead in sample B2 (abdomen) is 0.31 ppm or 1.55 mg/kg. Meanwhile,  the lowest concentration of lead founded in A1 samples (meat) with a concentration of 0.30 ppm or 1.50 mg/kg. The results showed that the metal content of lead (Pb)  in the fish originating from the Tanakekek islands of  Takalar district  not transcent the threshold is equal to 2.0 mg/kg by the Directorate General of Food and Drug Administration. Abstract

Abstract. Starting from 2018 until 2019, the study investigates the prevalence of drug abuse in Indonesia increasing gradually from 24% in 2018 to 28% in 2019. National Narcotics Agency reported that for nearly two years, Makassar has ranked  9th  for drug abuse among adolescents and most of them are students. According to Tribun Makassar,  more than 1.500 patients are hospitalized due to drug abuse. The Importance of health education for fighting drug abuse in student's majorities in high school is the aim of this PKM. Due to the students are the target of drug delivery, then educating high school students related the drug abuse, the effect of consumed the drugs, and how to avoid drug abuse is the priority of this activity.  hopefully, this PKM will reduce the level of abuse of narcotic drugs among high school levels. Keywords: Drug Abuse, Adolescents, Health Education

Abstract

Abstrak. Telah diisolasi dua senyawa dari ekstrak akar tumbuhan mangrove S. caseolaris yang berasal dari muara sungai Waetuo, Kecamatan Tanete Riattang Timur, Kabupaten Bone, Sulawesi Selatan. senyawa pertama (1) berupa kristal putih berbentuk jarum dan positif terhadap pereaksi Liebermann-Burchard. Hasil identifikasi dengan FTIR menunjukkan adanya gugus fungsi O-H, CH alifatik (CHsp2 dan CHsp3), C=C, dan C-O. Senyawa kedua (2): berupa serbuk berwarna putih dan positif terhadap pereaksi Wagner dan Dragendorff. Hasil identifikasi dengan FTIR menunjukkan adanya gugus fungsi N-H sekunder, C-H alifatik (-CH2- dan -CH3), C=C, dan C-N. Berdasarkan data tersebut, disimpulkan bahwa senyawa pertama termasuk golongan terpenoid dan senyawa kedua adalah golongan alkaloid. Kata Kunci: Pedada, Sonneratia caseolaris, terpenoid, alkaloid

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian eksplorasi ini bertujuan untuk mengisolasi dan mengidentifikasi senyawa metabolit sekunder yang terdapat dalam ekstrak metanol akar S. caseolaris yang terdiri dari preparasi sampel, ekstraksi (maserasi) dengan metanol, fraksinasi dengan Kromatografi Kolom Cair Vakum dan Kromatografi Kolom Tekan, pemurnian dengan dekantasi dan identifikasi dengan uji pereaksi dan uji Spektroskopi. Sampel berasal dari muara sungai Waetuo, Kecematan Tanete Riattang Timur, Kabupaten Bone, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Hasil penelitian berupa senyawa murni yaitu kristal putih berbentuk serbuk yang menunjukkan noda tunggal pada uji KLT sistem tiga eluen. Kristal menunjukkan hasil positif terhadap pereaksi Wagner dan Dragendorff. Hasil data spektrum FT-IR menunjukkan adanya gugus fungsi N—H primer, C—H alifatik, C—N, C—H (—CH2  dan  —CH3), C=C aromatik dan C=O. Berdsarkan data tersebut, menunjukkan bahwa senyawa yang diperoleh merupakan golongan senyawa alkaloid.Kata Kunci: Akar, Sonneratia caseolaris L., Alkaloid

Abstract

Abstract. In literature various methods were used for extracting antioxidant compounds from Bawang Dayak (Eleutherine palmifolia L), but there is no report on optimizing the extraction of antioxidant compounds from this plant particularly in scales and tunic of bulb of Bawang Dayak. By employing ethanol with two various concentrations (50, 70%) as the solvent, dry scale leaves and tunic of Bawang Dayak (BD) were macerated for 12 to 24 h. Total phenolic content (TPC), total flavonoid content (TFC) and DPPH free radical scavenging activity of the extract were quantitatively determined. It was found that Tunic has significant highest compare with scales determined by TPC and TFC (2750.00±116.68 and 1040.35±37.52mg/100 g) values by employing 70% ethanol with maceration time 12 h. Mean while, the lowest concentration of TFC and TFC was obtained at scales when using 70% ethanol with maceration time 24 h. The result showed that highest concentration of TPC and TFC may increase scavenging activity of tunic compare with scale leaves. It is apparent that when different target (TPC, TFC, DPPH scavenging activity) is considered, different optimized extraction conditions (ethanol concentration, maceration time) may have to be used in extracting bioactive compounds for Tunic and scales of bulb of E.palmifolia. Keywords : Antioxidant, Scales, Tunic , Eleutherine palmifolia

Abstract

Abstrak. Tumbuhan kelor (Moringan oleifera Lamk.) termasuk dalam famili Moringaceae yang memiliki banyak manfaat, salah satunya yaitu anti bakteri. Penenlitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kandungan fraksi ekstrak metanol dan uji  toksisitasnya. Batang kelor yang sudah di haluskan di maserasi dengan metanol, kemudian di evaporasi untuk menghasilkan ekstrak kental. Ekstrak kental yang dihasilkan kemudian di fraksinasi menggunakan keomatografi kolom cair vakum. Fraksi yang dihasilkan kemudian di analisis menggunakan GC-MS dan BSLT (Brine Shrimp Lethality Test). Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu, fraksi mengandung senyawa utama  Hexadecanoid acid dan 6-octadecanoid acid. Adapun nilai LC50  yang dihasilkan yaitu sebesar 90.012 ppm yang menunjukkan bahwa fraksi bersifat toksik

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengindentifikasi senyawa metabolit sekunder ekstrak n-Hexane Katumpangan Air (Pilea microphylla (L) Liebm.). Sampel penelitian diambil dari Kabupaten Gowa, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Tahapan penelitian meliputi preparasi sampel, ekstraksi dengan maserasi, uji golongan, fraksinasi dengan KKCV dan KKF, dan identifikasi senyawa dengan GC-MS. Proses ekstraksi dilakukan dengan metode maserasi menggunakan n-heksan kemudian dilakukan uji golongan dengan pereaksi Besi (III) klorida (FeCl3), Dragendroff, Meyer, Serbuk Mg + HCl pekat, HCl 1 N, dan  CH3COOH + H2SO4. Ekstrak n-heksan kemudian di fraksinasi menggunakan kromatografi kolom cair vakum (KKCV) dengan menggunakan pelarut n-heksan, etil asetat, dan metanol fraksi-fraksi yang dihasilkan dari KKCV kemudian diidentifikasi menggunakan Kromatografi Lapis Tipis (KLT) dengan perbandingan 3:5:2 (n-heksan:metanol:air). Selanjutnya, fraksi gabungan kemudian diuji menggunakan Kromatografi Kolom Flash (KKF).  Fraksi hasil KKF kemudian diuji menggunakan pereaksi-pereaksi tertentu. Hasil uji menunjukkan adanya senyawa golongan flavonoid. Dilakukan analisis menggunakan Kromatogram Gas-Massa (GC-MS). Hasil GC-MS menunjukkan keberadaan senyawa Fenol (C6H60) dan 1,2-Benzanedicarboxylic acid, mono (2-ethylhexyl) ester (C6H22O4).Kata Kunci: Identifikasi, Katumpangan Air, Pilea microphylla, FlavanoidABSTRACT                                                                                                  This study aims to identify the secondary metabolites of the n-Hexane Katumpangan Air (Pilea microphylla (L) Liebm.) extract. The research sample was taken from Gowa Regency , south Sulawesi Province. The stages of the research included sample preparation, extraction by maceration, group testing, fractionation by KKCV and KKF, and compound identification by GC-MS. The extraction process was carried out by the maceration method using n-hexane and then a group test was carried out using Iron (III) chloride (FeCl3), Dragendroff, Meyer, Mg powder + concentrated HCl, 1 N HCl, and CH3COOH + H2SO4 reagents. The n-hexane extract was then fractionated using vacuum liquid column chromatography (KKCV) using n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and methanol solvents. The fractions produced from KKCV were then identified using Thin Layer Cromatography (TLC) with a ratio of 3:5:2 (n-hexane:methanol:water). Furthermore, the combined fractions were then tested using Flash Column Chromatography (KKF). The resulting KKF fraction is then tested using certain reagents. The test results showed the presence of flavonoid compounds. Analysis was performed using a Gas-Mass Chromatogram (GC-MS). The GC-MS results indicated the presence of phenolic compounds (C6H60) and 1,2-Benzanecarboxylic acid, mono (2-ethylhexyl) ester (C6H22O4).                                                        Keywords: Identification, Katumpangan Air, Pilea microphylla, Flavanoids
