Abstract

Problems in the use of psychological tests are often found related to test items that are not culturally sensitive. Language adaptation in psychological tests is not enough to solve these cultural problems. The presence of the AJT Cognitive Test in Indonesia and its use in education is a new hope for the Intelligence test in Indonesia because it is developed according to local culture. Community service activities carried out by APPI Sulawesi in the form of training with the theme "Recognizing and Improving Children's Abilities with the AJT Cognitive Test" in September 2020 presented competent speakers and participated in this research 80 people who came from various regions in Indonesia and agencies and diverse professions. The way to measure the level of achievement of the success of this activity is in the form of providing a program evaluation using an instrument in the form of a questionnaire distributed via Google form. Evaluation questionnaire containing closed questions and open questions. Data is processed using descriptive statistical analysis. The findings show that the AJT Cognitive Test training is attractive to participants and the contents of the training material are to the needs of participants, and this training makes participants understand the components of the AJT Cognitive Test.

Abstract

Early childhood is a very important period of development because it can affect the next period of child development. Therefore, it is important for parents or caregivers to provide stimulation to children. Stimulation of children's abilities can support dan optimizing their development. This stimulation includes various aspects of development, one of which is fine motor aspects. The results of observations and interviews at X Instantion found that stimulation is still needed for children aged two years and there is a lack of appropriate stimulation tools for children aged 18-24 months. This research aims to make stimulation tools specifically for children aged 2 years by utilizing used goods. The research is carried out in two stages and uses observation techniques to measure children's abilities. In the application of stimulation tools, children show interest and are able to follow the instructions. The results of the observation found that there’s a changes in fine motor skills of children who participated in the whole activities. This change icluded progress the child's level of independence and success in using the stimulation tools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan pembelajaran Montessori serta mengidentifikasi perubahan perkembangan anak usia dini selama program berlangsung. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan mengamati proses pembelajaran, keterlibatan anak, dan perkembangan yang muncul selama sepuluh sesi kegiatan. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi langsung, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi aktivitas anak. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi, penyajian, dan interpretasi untuk menelaah perubahan yang terjadi pada masing-masing subjek. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Montessori mendukung peningkatan pada beberapa aspek perkembangan, terutama kemandirian, koordinasi motorik halus, regulasi emosi, perhatian, dan kemampuan mengikuti instruksi. Setiap subjek menunjukkan pola perkembangan yang berbeda sesuai usia dan kemampuan awal, namun seluruhnya mengalami peningkatan keterampilan yang menjadi fokus kegiatan Montessori. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan Montessori yang konsisten dapat menyediakan lingkungan belajar yang terstruktur dan mendukung perkembangan anak usia dini secara menyeluruh.
