Abstract

This study aims to describe the validity and response of students to interactive learning media on neural chapter. This media was developed by Lectora Inspire. This type of research was Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D model. Based on the results of media validation carried out by theory experts were 86% with a very valid category, then the results of validation by media experts obtained results of 89%, very valid category. And the results of validation by biology teachers were 96% with a very valid category. The results of the student response questionnaire showed a result of 87% with a very good category. Based on the results of the validation and student response questionnaires, it can be concluded that the learning media with the help of Lectora inspire on neural material is declared very valid and very good so that it can be used as a medium for learning biology for class XI SMA/MA students. Therefore, it can be assumed that lectora inspire-assisted learning media can be used in the biology learning process so that students can be more motivated in learning nervous system concepts.

Abstract

Abstract

Learning biology is closely related to everyday life, so students need reasoning and conceptual understanding to solve biology problems. Students often struggle to understand biological concepts due to the extensive material and difficult Latin terms. The purpose of this research is to analyze the difficulty of students' ability to understand biological concepts on cell material by grouping students based on learning styles. This study uses a qualitative case study design. Six students from class XI IPA A were selected as subjects: two with visual learning styles, two with auditory learning styles, and two with kinesthetic learning styles. Data collection techniques included questionnaires, tests, interviews, and documentation. Qualitative analysis using the Miles, Huberman, and Saldana model involved data collection, condensation, presentation, and drawing conclusions. Students' difficulties in understanding biology concepts differentiated by learning style yielded significant results. However, differences in conceptual understanding among subjects were not uniform even though they had been categorized based on learning style. It can therefore be concluded that differences in conceptual understanding cannot be viewed solely in terms of learning style, but also in terms of other key factors such as intelligence, student focus in class, willingness to learn, and so on.

Abstract

One of the problems in learning in schools is the low learning outcomes of students. This can be seen from the initial data of students' daily scores which are still below the KKM. The human circulatory system requires an appropriate model because of the abstract and complex nature of the material. Therefore, the application of the problem based learning model assisted by teaching aids is very much needed. This study aims to determine the Effect of the PBL Model Assisted by Teaching Aids on Learning Outcomes of the Human Circulatory System Material. Quantitative research method with Quasi Experimental Design research type, Sampling technique using Purposive Sampling obtained the sample population, namely students of class XI MIPA 2 as the experimental class and XI MIPA 3 as the control class. Data collection techniques in the form of (1) observation (2) documentation (3) tests in the form of pretest-posttest. Data analysis techniques using the normality test with Shapiro Wilk, and the Mann Whitney U-Test test. The results of the study showed that there was a significant influence of the PBL model assisted by teaching aids on learning outcomes of the human circulatory system material, namely based on the results of the Mann Whitney U-Test on the posttest results obtained a Sig. value. two tail of 0.000 < 0.05.

Abstract

Abstrak. The integration of knowledge from an Islamic perspective continues to be developed by Islamic education scholars. This idea emerged as a response to the dualism or separation between religious and secular sciences, which later gave rise to a segregated education system. In Indonesia, this dichotomy is clearly reflected in the diversity of educational institutions. The idea of unifying science and Islam has long been a topic of discussion. Although the term "integration" is not always explicitly mentioned, there is an understanding of the importance of uniting knowledge and religion. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design in the form of a one-group pretest-posttest model. The research design applied involves the use of pretest-posttest sheets as the research instrument. Data analysis was carried out using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, with prerequisite tests including normality and homogeneity tests. The results of the study are as follows: (1) there is a significant difference in the average scores between the pretest (320) and the posttest (512); (2) the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test to determine the effect of the integration of Islam and science yielded a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted. This means there is a difference between the pretest and posttest scores, showing that the integration of Islam and science has an influence on the learning outcomes of Grade XI MIPA 4 students in Biology learning at MAN 2 Jember in the 2022/2023 academic year. Abstract

Ilmu sains dapat dipadukan dengan nilai-nilai keagamaan, serta aspek lingkungan, teknologi, dan sosial masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai efektivitas model pembelajaran terintegrasi Islamic-Science Environment Technology Society (I-SETS) terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada topik sistem reproduksi manusia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan Quasi Exsperimental Design dengan teknik pengambilan sampel berupa purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar observasi keterlaksanaan pembelajaran I-SETS dan tes. Analisis data menggunakan uji N-Gain dan Uji Z, dengan uji prasyarat meliputi uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagai berikut: 1) Kelas eksperimen memiliki rerata skor pretes sebesar 51,46 dan skor posttes sebesar 84,97, sedangkan kelas kontrol memperoleh skor pretes sebesar 52,97 dan skor posttes sebesar 79,81. 2) Hasil analisis N-gain menunjukkan bahwa kelas kontrol memperoleh skor sebesar 0,5313 yang termasuk dalam kategori sedang, sedangkan kelas eksperimen memperoleh skor N-gain sebesar 0,7022 yang termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan Hasil perhitungan uji Z menghasilkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000<0,05, yang menunjukkan bahwa Ha diterima “ada perbedaan antara kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen yang diberikan perlakuan I-SETS”. Kesimpulan dari penelitian pembelajaran terintagrasi Islamic-Science Environment Technology Society (I-SETS) terbukti efektif dalam menunjang pencapaian hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada materi sistem reproduksi manusia dalam konteks pembelajaran di kelas.
