Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the prenuptial agreement in Serat Ambiya Pelemgadung, Sragen, Central Java, Indonesia. The agreement is a special power considering that some of the existing serat texts are used in photographing husband-wife relationships when they are legal. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to compare the characteristics of Serat Ambiya Pelemgadung with others. In addition, what is the framework and meaning of the prenuptial agreement in Serat Ambiya Pelemgadung. This goal is expected to be achieved by selecting philological, hermeneutical and literature studies methods. There are several things that need to be underlined in this study, in the end, that Serat Ambiya Pelemgadung differs from the content of Serat Ambiya' Pelemgadung produced by Hamengku Buwono V's scriptorium. The philosophical framework and meaning of pre-nuptial agreements are inclined to matrilineal cultural values, such as; a) a commitment to love and provide for his wife, b) provide a business field for his wife, to prepare for the children's old age. the husband, c) bear all the debts of the wife before the marriage, and forbid his wife from debts in the future, and d) the husband promises not to use and demand all of his wife's property.

Abstract

A good sleep pattern is very important for our body's health both physically and mentally, while lifestyle habits such as physical activity and diet play a big role in influencing sleep quality. By using a decision tree, researchers aim to predict whether we have a healthy sleep pattern or not based on lifestyle. Healthy sleep patterns are regular and quality sleep habits to maintain our physical health. Healthy sleep patterns generally involve sleeping 8 hours – 9 hours per night, having a regular and consistent sleep time. The decision tree model was chosen because of the decision tree's ability to provide accurate predictions and produce rules that are easy to understand. This model can help us raise awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle in maintaining sleep quality.

Abstract

This study examines the decolonization in the prophetic period of Muhammad SAW. Different analyses occur among historians, with some viewing Islam as supportive of colonialism and others as anti-colonialism. This study aims to answer how decolonization was practiced in the prophetic period. The study’s objective is to demonstrate that Prophet Muhammad SAW laid out the foundations of thoughts and actions of decolonization. The colonial enterprises undertaken during the subsequent caliphates, which some historians such as Philip K. Hitt assumed, differ fundamentally from the principles of governance in the prophetic era. This study employs a qualitative historical approach, utilizing the discourse analysis method to prove that the wars against the Eastern Romans waged by the Prophet Muhammad were for decolonization. The existing historical sources are collected from literary studies and then subjected to Michael Onyebuchi Eze’s theory, which asserts decolonization as an idea and practice transcending history. The study’s findings are as follows: (1) Roman colonialism in the Arabian Peninsula led to protracted conflicts between Arab tribes and transformed it into a theatre of proxy warfare against the Persian empire; (2) Prophet Muhammad SAW was a pivotal figure in decolonizing Roman influences on Arab(s). Prophet paved two primary steps, which were to unify the Arabs and to wrest control of the Arabian peninsula from Eastern Rome; and (3) the military campaigns led either directly or indirectly by Muhammad SAW were indisputable evidence of the prophetic practice and thought of decolonization.

Abstract

There are many Koranic verses revealed the structure of city space, including forest city itself. These verses confirmed the ancient history records that human being creates the greatcivilization. One of their prestigious creations is a modern management concept ofstructuring the forest city. It shows how to build a green space, an unpolluted air and water, and a healthy environment. This paper studied the Islamic approach to forest citymanagement in light a concept of Maqasid al-Syariah of Abu Ishaq Asy-Syatibi. Maqasid alSyariah are Islamic pillars whose goal that is keeping sustainability, the existence andcontinuity of human life. It means that Islam has serious concern over good environmentand its impact on health and wellbeing. According to Islam, the destructive behaviors causedamage just toward a single part of the environment are as bad as those destruct all of it.Therefore, managing forest city as well as Koranic directions depicted within its verses is aduty of Muslim people and for both secular or Islamic government.

Abstract

Abstrak. The integration of knowledge from an Islamic perspective continues to be developed by Islamic education scholars. This idea emerged as a response to the dualism or separation between religious and secular sciences, which later gave rise to a segregated education system. In Indonesia, this dichotomy is clearly reflected in the diversity of educational institutions. The idea of unifying science and Islam has long been a topic of discussion. Although the term "integration" is not always explicitly mentioned, there is an understanding of the importance of uniting knowledge and religion. This study uses a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design in the form of a one-group pretest-posttest model. The research design applied involves the use of pretest-posttest sheets as the research instrument. Data analysis was carried out using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test, with prerequisite tests including normality and homogeneity tests. The results of the study are as follows: (1) there is a significant difference in the average scores between the pretest (320) and the posttest (512); (2) the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test to determine the effect of the integration of Islam and science yielded a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05, indicating that H₀ is rejected and Hₐ is accepted. This means there is a difference between the pretest and posttest scores, showing that the integration of Islam and science has an influence on the learning outcomes of Grade XI MIPA 4 students in Biology learning at MAN 2 Jember in the 2022/2023 academic year. Abstract

Islamic radicalism and terrorism are social facts, and continue to metamorphose until they become digital facts. The transition from physical space to digital space does not change the status of radicalism and terrorism as social facts but changes its character to become a digital social fact. Character changes are accompanied by narrative shifts, where the framing by the media is often more solid than before the transition. The solidity of the media's framing of Islamic radicalism and terrorism creates a distinct digital social structure, which consists of producers, production stages, and ongoing reproduction of issues. This research argues that narrative shifts due to media framing are supported by corporate interests, media political affiliations, and the ideology promoted. Scheufele and Tewksbury explained narrative shifts due to media framing, and the agenda behind media framing was analyzed based on McCombs' theory. This research concludes that the narrative shift due to framing by the media was carried out deliberately because of corporate interests, political affiliations, and the ideology of the media owners. During the production of framed information, civil control over framing media is not optimal.
