Abstract

Every individual has different characteristics and characteristics. The characteristics and characteristics of individuals can be influenced from internal and external. Institution member who lacks ability, he cannot complete his responsibilities to the fullest. For this reason, it is necessary to pay attention to the factors that can affect the performance of members, the problem of decreased performance can be detrimental to members of the organization or employees and the company. The purpose of this study is to see whether there is a relationship between perceptions of transformational leadership and self-efficacy on performance among members of the Army. In this study using a quantitative approach to simple regression analysis with a total sample of 80 members. Obtained results that have a positive and non-significant effect between perceptions of transformational leadership and performance with self-efficacy as mediating variables β = 0.166; p = 0.189) which shows that self-efficacy is not a mediating variable between transformation leadership and performance.

Abstract

The increasing use of Instagram among university students has encouraged the tendency to engage in social comparison, a process of comparing oneself with others that may influence self-esteem. This study aimed to examine the relationship between social comparison and self-esteem among Instagram users at the Faculty of Psychology, Universitas Islam Negeri Raden Fatah Palembang. This study employed a quantitative approach with a correlational research design. The participants consisted of 300 students selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected using the Iowa-Netherlands Comparison Orientation Measure (INCOM) to assess social comparison and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) to measure self-esteem. Data were analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test. The results revealed a significant negative relationship between social comparison and self-esteem (r = -0.305; p < 0.01). These findings indicate that the higher the tendency to engage in social comparison, the lower the students' self-esteem. The findings are expected to serve as a basis for promoting greater awareness among students regarding the importance of using social media more wisely to maintain and enhance their self-esteem

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) adaptasi skala self compassion; (2) mengungkap karakteristik skala self compassion. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 55 siswa SMA. Item dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Analisis item secara kualitatif dengan cara expert judgement yang dilakukan oleh 3 orang. Selanjutnya, hasil tersebut diolah secara kuantitatif dengan menggunakan validitas Aiken V dan Gregori. Analisis reliabilitas menggunakan program SPSS 23. Hasil analisis dugunakan untuk mengetahui item yang memenuhi kriteria item yang baik: korelasi item total > 0,20. Analisis faktor digunakan untuk mendapatkan konfirmasi bahwa suatu tes terdiri dari beberapa faktor yang telah disusun. Hasil uji coba validitas isi dari Aiken V menunjukkan skor 0.788 dan uji coba validitas isi dari Gregory menunjukkan skor rata-rata 0.833 dari kedua uji coba tersebut skala self compassion valid. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa dari 26 item yang disusun, 17 item yang valid dengan korelasi antara item total > 0,20 dan 9 item tidak valid karena korelasi item total < 0,20 Reliabilitas Alpha= 0,739. Hasil analisis faktor menunjukkan bahwa dari lima faktor yang melandasi konstruk ini bobot sumbangan satu faktor terhadap konstruk berkisar antara 6,331%-26,364%. Secara kesuluruhan faktor tersebut mampu mengungkap konstruk skala self compassion sebesar 66,079%.
