Abstract

Soil has a very significant role in construction works, both as the main composition and supporting material. If the construction is build on a soft soil like soft clay, then it will give problem to the construction building. To increase the strength of soil, soil stabilization is done by adding palm pulp fibers into the soil. In this study, the percentages of palm pulp fibers mixed are 1,5%, 2,5%, 3,5%, and 4,5% out of soft clay dry weight. To know the strength of soil, direct shear test and unconfined compressive strength (UCS) test. The mixing of palm pulp fibers affects the value of Soil Shear Strength (s) and Unconfined Compressive Strength (qu). On the level of 4,5%, the Soil Shear Strength (s) and Unconfined Compressive Strength (qu) have the biggest value. The Soil Shear Strength (s) of 129,748 kN/m2 showed a rise of 537,083% in unmixed soil, while the Unconfined Compressive Strength of 34,254 kN/m2 showed a rise of 79,048% in undisturbed soil. Abstract

Terminal melayani berbagai kepentingan stakeholder, yaitu penumpang, operator bus dan angkutan perkotaan, dan pemerintah. Setiap kepentingan tersebut berbeda, dan kemungkinan akan saling bersinggungan satu sama lain. Terminal Kp. Keramat di Kota Pangkalpinang dikenal sebagai  prasarana yang tidak nyaman, tidak efektif dan efisien dalam melakukan perannya sebagai prasarana umum. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk: menganalisis fasilitas terminal, waktu pelayanan, dan hubungan tingkat kedatangan kendaraan terhadap panjang antrian. Fasilitas utama dan penunjang yang tidak ada di Terminal Kp. Keramat Kota Pangkal Pinang, perlu dibangun. Sedangkan fasilitas yang sudah ada perlu dilakukan pemeliharaan sehingga dapat berfungsi untuk membantu aktivitas yang terjadi di dalam terminal. Kondisi permukaan perkerasan di terminal sudah rusak sehingga perlu dilakukan peningkatan. Waktu pelayanan selama 30 menit untuk semua jurusan di Terminal Kp. Keramat perlu dievaluasi kembali sehingga tidak terjadi antrian yang panjang. Kata Kunci: terminal, performansi, bus, kendaraan, penumpang.

Abstract

Multigrade asphalt use is an alternative method for handling road deterioration problem, e.g. a rutting, due to the repetitive traffic load and high pressure from vehicle wheels. In addition, the multigrade asphalt has been widely used to reduce temperature sensitivity of the asphalt mixture in flexible pavement due to an unpredictable climate change. Rutting is also caused by the accumulation of permanent deformations from all layers in the pavement structure. This study aims to analyze the permanent deformation value and the resilient modulus of an Asphalt Concrete Binder Course (AC-BC) modified mixture through the use of multigrade asphalt. The Wheel Tracking Test and UMATTA Test were used to test the specimens. The Tests on samples were carried out at temperatures of 35oC and 50oC. The results showed that the permanent deformation value of the AC-BC with multigrade asphalt had a better deformation resistance than the 60/70 pen bitumen mixture at 35oC. At the temperature of 50oC, the multigrade asphalt mixture had a smaller permanent deformation value (0.92 mm) compared to the 60/70 pen bitumen mixture. At the temperature of 35oC, multigrade asphalt mixture had a resilient modulus value of 1.04 times greater than the 60/70 pen bitumen mixture and at the temperature of 50oC, this mixture had a resilient modulus value of 1.16 times greater than the 60/70 pen bitumen mixture. Therefore, this study concluded that the increase/decrease of value of permanent deformation and resilient modulus were influenced by the temperature and types of asphalt in the mixture.

Abstract

The use of roadsides as parking spaces in the Pangkalpinang Plaza - Bangka Trade Center Area, if managed optimally, can be a source of Regional Original Income for Pangkalpinang City. The determination of this area as one of the on-street parking zones has the potential to be a significant contributor to parking fees revenue in Pangkalpinang City. Therefore, a study is needed to know the potential for parking fees in the Pangkalpinang Plaza - Bangka Trade Center Area to the Original Regional Income of Pangkalpinang City. The potential for parking fees revenue in Pangkalpinang City is analyzed based on three types of tariff conditions, consist of official tariffs, current tariffs, and adjustment tariffs. The results of the analysis of the potential parking fees for on-street parking in the Pangkalpinang Plaza - Bangka Trade Center Area shows that on-street parking fees revenue in this area has greats potential for the Original Regional Income of Pangkalpinang City. However, the management of the retribution receipt has not been carried out optimally, so that the revenue from this source is still low. Besides, coordination and transparency in managing parking fees also need to be improved. Furthermore, this research is expected to be used as a consideration for the government in making parking policies to optimize the receipt of parking fees in this area.

Abstract

Coal is used as fuel for the Air Anyir Steam Power Plant (PLTU) on Bangka Island. The combustion waste in the form of fly ash and bottom ash has not been utilized optimally as an alternative material for road construction. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the potential use of bottom ash as a filler in the HRS-WC mixture. The HRS-WC mixture uses two variations of filler, namely cement and bottom ash. The variation of asphalt content used is 6.5%, 7%. 7.5%, 8%, and 8.5%. The results showed that the use of bottom ash as a filler resulted in a KAO value of 7.95% and the stability value of the mixture was greater than using cement filler. So, bottom ash has potential as an alternative filler in asphalt mixtures. ABSTRAK Batu bara digunakan sebagai bahan bakar untuk Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Uap (PLTU) Air Anyir di Pulau Bangka. Limbah hasil pembakarannya berupa fly ash dan bottom ash belum dimanfaatkan secara maksimal sebagai bahan alternatif konstruksi jalan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis potensi penggunaan bottom ash sebagai filler pada campuran HRS-WC. Campuran HRS-WC menggunakan dua variasi filler yaitu semen dan bottom ash. Variasi kadar aspal yang digunakan adalah 6,5%, 7%. 7,5%, 8%, dan 8,5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan bottom ash sebagai bahan pengisi (filler) menghasilkan nilai KAO sebesar 7,95% dan nilai stabilitas campuran lebih besar dibandingkan dengan menggunakan filler semen. Jadi, bottom ash memiliki potensi sebagai alternatif filler pada campuran beraspal.
