Abstract

This article discusses multicultural education in the perspective of Islamic education in Indonesia. Multicultural education is a foundation for starting to accept what the times are, especially in today's modern era, which is all-sophisticated and the culture is entering so quickly, either individually or in groups. Multicultural education is basically not so significant and there are still many education experts who question the explanation. Multicultural education is education that leads to cultural diversity in actualizing social and cultural changes in the community as a whole. Multiculturalism in Indonesia has two opposing potential sides. On the one hand, multiculturalism is a wealth of cultural treasures to be proud of. On the one hand, multiculturalism has the potential for conflict due to the lack of awareness to live together in a state of love and humanity. Multicultural Islamic education becomes the normative basis as the basis for realizing how the educational process in Islam should be managed perfectly. So that the Indonesian people are aware that multicultural education is important.

Abstract

Education there are still problems in adolescents that do not reflect religious attitudes and tolerance due to a lack of understanding of Islamic law. This study aims to determine the design, implementation and evaluation of cultivating religious character and tolerance through learning fiqh. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a phenomenological type involving informants from Madrasah Heads, Fiqh Teachers, and Grade IX students. The collection of data used is observation, interviews, and document study. The results of the study found that the cultivation of religious character and tolerance through learning fiqh is a learning design that includes steps in cultivating religious character and tolerance. Implementation of interactive classroom learning, carrying out habituation activities outside the classroom to instill religious character, in the form of: dhuha prayers and congregational midday prayers, extracurricular muhadharah, while to instill the character of tolerance through discussion activities in class learning, and extracurricular bahtsul masail. Evaluation is carried out using an attitude scale, which is measured by a scoring system, including: always, often, sometimes and never, which is carried out in the learning process in class, habituation activities, and extracurricular activities. The implication of this research is that education managers can easily understand that every lesson including fiqh subjects can be accustomed to positive and religious characters.

Abstract

Di era globalisasi yang serba modern ini, dunia pendidikan dihadapkan dengan tantangan besar dalam mempersiapkan generasi muda untuk menghadapi berbagai perubahan dan perkembangan yang terjadi di masyarakat. Diantaranya adalah pudarnya nilai-nilai moral, etika dan karakter siswa tercermin pada maraknya berita yang beredar tentang meningkatnya kasus kriminalitas dan kenakalan remaja. Pembelajaran yang berbasis pada nilai-nilai luhur budaya dan karakter dalam kehidupan perlu dikembangkan kembali pada era global ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) mendeskripsikan konsep pendidikan nilai dalam perspektif filsafat pendidikan menurut Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas dan Immanuel Kant. 2) mendeskripsikan penerapan pendidikan nilai di era sekarang. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah library research. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) kedua tokoh berpendapat bahwa pendidikan adalah etika untuk membentuk disiplin batin individu sehingga mampu menjadi manusia bermoral. Keduanya juga menekankan bahwa antara etika dan pendidikan terdapat keterkatan yang erat dan harmonis. 2) dalam menerapkan pendidikan nilai dalam dunia pendidikan modern, diperlukan strategi yang komprehensif dan terencana dengan baik. Implementasi pendidikan nilai pada praktik pendidikan dapat dilakukan dengan bentuk intrakurikuler, kokurikuler dan ekstrakurikuler. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pentingnya pendidikan nilai dalam filsafat pendidikan adalah untuk membentuk individu yang tidak hanya memiliki pengetahuan, tetapi juga memiliki karakter yang baik, mampu membuat keputusan moral yang tepat, dan berkontribusi positif dalam masyarakat.
