Abstract

The agricultural sector is a promising sector in the future, but in Indonesia the agricultural sector has not developed properly due to many factors such as individual land ownership which tends to be narrow, young people who do not want to continue their parents' business in farming, then 60% of farmers in Indonesia still relies on traditional farming systems, regardless of water needs, seasons, climate, sales prices, types of plants and others. Traditional farming systems also require high costs, so the income is less than optimal. According to BPS, in the second quarter of 2022 the highest economic sector was found in the business fields of agriculture, forestry and fisheries at 13.15%. This potential should be developed in the industrial era 4.0, as an example of technology that can be applied in the agricultural sector, namely the Internet of Think, a system is needed to control water demand, temperature and light intensity needed to help plant photosynthesis. The proposed system will use four sensors including a light sensor (LDR), a temperature sensor (dht-11), an ultrasonic sensor, and a soil moisture sensor. In this proposed system monitoring can also be carried out using the Blynk application which can be monitored via a smartphone. The system development process uses the Rnd method, because the Rnd method is suitable for making products that can be applied to support agriculture.

Abstract

The election of the OSIS (Student Council) chairman and vice-chairman is an important school agenda that requires a fast, accurate, and transparent voting process. With the advancement of information technology, e-voting systems have become a modern solution, but their success strongly depends on the system's usability. This study aims to evaluate the usability level of the e-voting system for the election of the OSIS (Student Council) president and vice-president using the Think Aloud method. The evaluation involved ten student respondents as the system’s target users, who were asked to complete six task scenarios—from entering the token to logging out—while verbalizing their thoughts and difficulties. The results showed that 90% of respondents successfully completed task scenarios T1–T5, while 60% encountered difficulties in task T6 (logging out). Based on the severity rating analysis, three main issues were identified: slow response time (score 4, critical), unclear navigation (score 3, major), and confusing input forms (score 3, major). Overall, the system achieved a task completion rate of 93.3% with an average completion time of 38 seconds per task. These results indicate that the e-voting system demonstrates good usability but requires improvements in navigation, system performance, and input guidance to enhance user experience. The Think Aloud method proved effective in directly identifying usability issues from the user perspective.

Abstract

Micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in supporting local economic development, particularly in rural areas. However, many MSME actors still face limitations in building strong product identities, especially in terms of branding, packaging, and brand communication. These limitations often cause their products to have low competitiveness in broader markets. This community service activity aims to strengthen the brand identity of MSME products through a socialization program conducted in Wates Village. The objective of this activity is to increase the knowledge and awareness of MSME actors regarding the importance of branding as a strategy to improve product value and market competitiveness. The method used in this program was a participatory socialization approach, which included presentations, discussions, and practical guidance on branding elements such as brand name selection, logo design, packaging improvement, and product differentiation. The activity involved local MSME actors who produce various local products. The results of the activity show that participants demonstrated increased understanding of the importance of brand identity and its role in enhancing product attractiveness and consumer trust. Participants were also able to identify potential improvements in their product branding, including packaging design and brand positioning. The socialization program contributed to increasing the readiness of MSME actors to develop stronger product identities in order to compete in the wider market. In conclusion, strengthening MSME brand identity through socialization activities can be an effective strategy to enhance the competitiveness and sustainability of local MSME products in Wates Village.
