Abstract

The importance of implementing educational entrepreneurship from an early age is a new choice that must be driven by policymakers in the world of education, as was done at the SD Islam Muhammadiyah 1 Menganti Gresik, which provides a space for entrepreneurship learning for students based on local wisdom (chicken pieces). The purposes of this research are, first, how is the entrepreneurial spirit internalized in students based on local wisdom (chicken pieces)? Second, what are the obstacles that occur in the process of producing entrepreneurial spirit based on local wisdom in broiler students? The research method used is a qualitative case study approach. Primary data sources include class teachers, curriculum representatives, and students. Besides that, the analysis used by the researcher is condensation data, display, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that in the process of cultivating local wisdom-based entrepreneurial spirit in line with the educational entrepreneurship concept, "the element" includes talent and multiple intelligences, holistic education and passion, and regional excellence that develop in the surrounding community, as conveyed by Robinson and Aronica in their book The Element: How Finding Your Passion Changes Everything.

Abstract

Abstract Islamic higher education institutions (IHEIs) are expected to innovate while maintaining their value commitments, yet evidence remains limited on how Islamic entrepreneurial leadership (IEL), psychological empowerment (PE), and institutional support (IS) are jointly associated with faculty innovation (FI). This study examines these relationships and evaluates whether the four constructs are empirically distinct. Survey data from 349 lecturers at three Islamic higher education institutions in Jambi, Indonesia, were analysed using partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) with 1,000 bootstrap resamples. The measurement model showed satisfactory reliability and convergent validity, and discriminant validity was supported by the Fornell–Larcker and HTMT criteria. IS showed the strongest association with FI (β = .457), followed by PE (β = .187) and IEL (β = .176). IEL was strongly associated with IS (β = .571), and its indirect association with FI through IS was significant (β = .261), consistent with complementary partial mediation. The model explained 48.8% of the variance in FI. These findings indicate that faculty innovation in IHEIs is closely associated with supportive institutional conditions and that value-based entrepreneurial leadership is linked to innovation largely through such support.   Abstrak Perguruan tinggi keagamaan Islam dituntut untuk berinovasi tanpa mengurangi komitmen nilai yang menjadi dasar kelembagaannya. Namun, bukti mengenai hubungan kepemimpinan kewirausahaan Islami (IEL), pemberdayaan psikologis (PE), dukungan institusional (IS), dan inovasi dosen (FI) masih terbatas. Model menjelaskan 48,8% varians FI. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa inovasi dosen berkaitan erat dengan dukungan institusional, sementara kepemimpinan kewirausahaan Islami terutama berhubungan dengan inovasi melalui dukungan tersebut.

Abstract

The decline in student morality has become a critical issue amidst globalization and digital transformation, particularly in Islamic education, which prioritizes character building as a primary goal. This study aims to analyze how teacher-student communication patterns in Aqidah Akhlak (Faith and Morality) learning contribute to the formation of students' moral character in Islamic secondary schools. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach at MTs Bina Iman Pasir Belengkong, with one teacher, 15 grade VII A students, and the principal as supporting informants. Data collection techniques included observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, while data analysis used the Miles and Huberman interactive model. The results showed that teachers implemented a combination of one-way, two-way, and multi-way communication patterns adapted to the learning dynamics. These communication strategies were proven to improve students' moral behavior, such as increased respect, reduced use of harsh language, increased cooperation, and time discipline. This study also identified supporting factors such as a religious school environment and parental involvement, as well as inhibiting factors such as the influence of digital media and limited learning time. The implications of this study confirm that communication is an effective pedagogical strategy in moral education, and therefore needs to be integrated into teacher training and curriculum development. Further research is recommended to broaden the context, use a mixed approach, and examine the role of digital media in students' moral formation.
