Abstract

The environmental conditions and problems found in RW 05 Cisasawi Village, Cihanjuang are garbage. The final disposal of waste in Cisasawi village is still unclear and is often constrained by the distribution of waste. This requires good management regarding waste disposal in Cisasawi village, especially RW 05. The management carried out is community-based management, so that people are aware of a healthy and clean environment. Provision of trash bins around the neighborhood of RW 05 Cisasawi Village is the first step in an effort to raise public awareness in waste management. The next activity was outreach to PKK women and village officials in RW 05 Cisasawi Village. The people of RW 05 Cisasawi Village are interested in waste management through the Garbage Bank and the use of waste for composting.

Abstract

The rapid development of Industry 4.0 technologies has increased the importance of digital competencies among vocational high school students, particularly in the field of Internet of Things (IoT). However, many students still have limited practical experience in implementing embedded systems and real-time monitoring technologies in educational environments. This community service program aimed to improve the technical skills of students at SMK Negeri 2 Cimahi through training on the implementation of IoT systems based on ESP32 for school environmental monitoring. The program employed a participatory training approach consisting of theoretical sessions, hands-on workshops, sensor integration practices, and real-time data visualization using web-based monitoring platforms. The developed system was capable of monitoring environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, and air quality within the school area. The results showed that students demonstrated significant improvement in understanding microcontroller programming, wireless communication, sensor integration, and IoT system development. Furthermore, the training enhanced students’ problem-solving abilities and readiness to face digital industrial challenges. In conclusion, the program contributed positively to strengthening vocational competencies and promoting technology-based learning innovation in schools.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengembangkan sistem otomatisasi kontrol dan antarmuka untuk alat musik tradisional angklung berbasis mikrokontroler ESP32 dan Arduino Mega 2560. Sistem mengintegrasikan aktuator solenoid, driver motor L298N, layar sentuh LCD TFT 3.5 (SPI+CTP), dan komunikasi serial UART untuk menerjemahkan input pengguna menjadi gerakan mekanis angklung. Perancangan perangkat lunak mencakup pemodelan notasi nada dan pengaturan tempo ehingga tiap ketukan dipetakan ke durasi sinyal yang sesuai. Pengujian meliputi akurasi sentuhan, latensi dan sinkronisasi komunikasi ESP32–Arduino, serta respons solenoid terhadap perintah, dengan pengukuran menggunakan contoh lagu dan notasi terstruktur. Hasil menunjukkan touchscreen memetakan input dengan akurat, komunikasi serial stabil dengan tanda sinkronisasi, serta solenoid dapat memainkan nada sesuai tempo dan ketukan. Sistem terbukti modular, mudah dirawat, dan menggunakan komponen umum sehingga memudahkan perbaikan dan pengembangan lanjutan. Implementasi ini mempermudah pemutaran angklung tanpa tenaga pemain langsung dan berfungsi sebagai media pembelajaran praktis modern.
