Abstract

Quality control is a management activity to measure the quality characteristics of existing products, compare them with specifications or requirements, and take appropriate action if there is a difference between the actual appearance and standardization. The purpose of this research is to solve the causes of defective product problems that occur with the DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) approach to the Six Sigma method. This study uses a qualitative approach. This study analyzes defective products using the Six Sigma method in order to minimize defective products in the kiln area. Based on the research discussion, the dominant product defect is the sample in the kiln area. It is known that there are five types of product defects that can cause defective products, namely body burst by 22%, sag by 10%, preheating crack by 4%, glaze crack by 20%, and sompel by 40%. And based on the results of calculations carried out the company is at the level of six sigma 3.36 sigma

Abstract

Based on sales data of PT. Rinnai Indonesia-Cikupa, there is an increase in sales of 15% stoves in 2021. Conditions that often occur are damage to production equipment including end forming, rolling, bending 90°, drilling, buffing, and stamping machines. This study aims to determine the level of performance of the bending machine 90° and proposed improvements with a preventive maintenance approach. The research was conducted during January-December 2021 using reliability analysis method and failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) methods. Based on the reliability analysis. The overall availability (Ao) value of 88% is still below the world standard (≥90%). And from the failure mode and effect analysis, the RPN value is 352. This is due to the high downtime of the dominant component. Namely the encoder with a frequency of 86 times of damage and a downtime of 415 hours

Abstract

Quality has become the most important force that results in organizational success. Defective products can have an impact on the company's image, customer satisfaction and even company revenue. Quality control measures by means of analysis and prevention need to be done reduce defects. The purpose of this study was to identify the number of defects in the Adidas Super Nova shoe product, the level of DPMO and the sigma value of the product With the six sigma method towards zero defect (zero failure rate). five stages in its application, namely Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC). The research results of PT. Parkland World Indonesi obtained types of defects in shoes, consisting of 3 types, namely bigreat defects, stitching defects, and gluing defects (gluing strength of the sole). From 20649 the number of shoes examined, the most dominant defect was bigreat defect (glue stain), of 556 or 42% so that the average sigma value was 3.50 sigma. The suggestion given to provide training to operators so that the operator's ability and understanding becomes better, supervise operators at work, carry out regular checks and maintenance on the machines used

Abstract

During 2013 PT. CWI as a solid waste processing services company did not reach its waste processing capacity target due to 62 pressure jet incinerator engine component failures, resulting in high downtime, namely 880 hours or an average of 73.33 hours per month. This repeated failure is due to the equipment maintenance system which is still carried out correctively. This research aims to create a preventive maintenance schedule to improve the maintenance system which has been carried out using the Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) method based on downtime analysis using the Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method approach. Based on downtime analysis, it is known that the average Operational Availability value for pressure jet incinerator machines is 87.21%, still below the word class standard of 90%. From the FMEA analysis, it was found that the component that was most critical and most at risk as a cause of failure was the Refractory Body with an RPN of 240, far above the RPN threshold of 88.6. Other components that are dominant as causes of failure are the Burner, Electric Motor, and Wet Scrubber. With the RCM method, preventive maintenance scheduling can be proposed in the form of a preventive maintenance job schedule in order to improve the corrective maintenance system into a preventive maintenance system.

Abstract

Setiap aktivitas kerja pada proyek konstruksi berisiko membahayakan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja. Kecelakaan kerja merupakan kejadian di tempat kerja yang tak diharapkan dan menyebabkan gangguan kesehatan, serta menimbulkan kerugian bagi pekerja dan perusahaan. Kecelakaan kerja disebabkan oleh pekerja, peralatan, metode, maupun lingkungannya. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada proyek konstruksi PT. XYZ bertujuan mengetahui potensi bahaya kerja pada proyek konstruksi dan penyebabnya, serta cara pengendalian risiko guna mengurangi kecelakaan kerja, menggunakan metode job safety analysis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas kerja yang sangat berpotensi menyebabkan kecelakaan kerja adalah pengelasan struktur rangka baja, bongkar/pasang scaffolding, dan pemasangan atap. Rating risiko tertinggi adalah 16 pada bongkar/pasang scaffolding. Usulan pengendalian risiko agar pekerja selalu menggunakan APD dan mengikuti SOP, serta penempatan petugas safety untuk mengawasi keselamatan setiap pekerjaan. Perusahaan perlu menjalin hubungan baik dengan masyarakat dan bekerjasama dengan aparat keamanan setempat agar tercipta kondisi keamanan yang kondusif sehingga tercipta suasana kerja yang aman dan nyaman

Abstract

The region of Indonesia, composed mainly of oceans, is not unfamiliar to us as we encounter mangrove plants along the coastlines. Many mangrove ecosystems are damaged and have not been replanted due to a lack of socialization and public awareness of the importance of mangroves for the coastal environment, marine ecosystems, and wildlife around the beach. This community service activity aims to inspire and raise public awareness about the role and function of mangroves. Meanwhile, the method used is a descriptive qualitative method where interviews and field studies are conducted directly, along with the implementation of socialization and a question-and-answer session with the community, the Head of the Mangrove Forest Farmers Group, and the community service team. The mangrove farmers' group enthusiastically received the results of this community service, as did the youth leaders and the community in Kronjo Village. In addition to engaging in direct activities such as replanting mangroves, the community service team also participated in socialization activities to ensure the preservation of mangroves. The community ultimately gained knowledge about the roles and functions of mangroves as a result of this community service activity, and they became more enthusiastic about the preservation of mangrove sustainability for the sake of ecosystem and environmental conservation, as well as effectively addressing coastal erosion in Kronjo Village, which is located on Cangkir Island.

Abstract

Setiap tempat kerja selalu mengandung potensi bahaya dan risiko kerja yang dapat membahayakan keselamatan dan kesehatan para pekerja. Kecelakaan kerja merupakan suatu kejadian yang tidak terduga yang dapat menimbulkan kerugian baik bagi perusahaan maupun karyawannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi bahaya untuk mengurangi kecelakaan kerja, mengidentifikasi, menilai dan mengendalikan resiko yang ada pada kegiatan atau proses pemotongan kayu pada CV. Berkah Utama Wood. Metodologi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control (HIRADC). Sehingga dapat mengatasi masalah potensi bahaya yang ada dan mengusulkan perbaikan untuk memastikan pekerja melakukan aktivitas kerja sesuai dengan prosedur operasi standar ( SOP ) dan menggunakan alat perlindungan diri ( APD ) yang sesuai.
