This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of integrating community nursing into a family empowerment program to improve adolescent reproductive health. The research background is based on the high prevalence of adolescent reproductive health problems in Indonesia, such as early marriage, unwanted pregnancy, and sexually transmitted infections, which are exacerbated by poor family communication regarding these topics. The study used a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach involving adolescents aged 12–19 years, their families, and community nurses in the community health center (Puskesmas) working area. The research instruments included an in-depth interview guide, a participant observation sheet, and pre- and post-test questionnaires on knowledge and attitudes. The results showed a significant increase in adolescent knowledge, attitudes, and healthy behaviors (p < 0.05) after the intervention, accompanied by an increase in the frequency of open communication between families and adolescents regarding reproductive health. The involvement of families as co-educators has been shown to strengthen the program's effectiveness, create a supportive home environment, and reduce cultural barriers in discussing reproductive issues. This intervention model is considered to have great potential for replication in various regions with adjustments to the local social and cultural context, thus becoming a sustainable strategy in promoting adolescent reproductive health.

Family dietary consumption behavior that does not comply with balanced nutrition principles remains a major public health concern. Nutrition education is widely implemented as a promotive and preventive strategy; however, its effectiveness in producing actual behavioral change requires empirical validation. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of nutrition education on changes in family consumption behavior compared to a control group. A quantitative quasi-experimental design with a pretest–posttest control group was employed. Families were assigned to intervention and control groups. The intervention group received structured nutrition education, while the control group received no or standard education. Dietary consumption behavior was measured using a structured questionnaire before and after the intervention. Data analysis included within- and between-group comparisons and ANCOVA to control for confounding variables. The results demonstrated a statistically significant improvement in consumption behavior scores in the intervention group compared to the control group. The difference remained significant after controlling for confounders. These findings indicate that nutrition education is effective in promoting meaningful changes in family dietary behavior beyond knowledge improvement alone. The study concludes that nutrition education constitutes an evidence-based intervention for improving family consumption behavior within public health programs.

Stunting remains a major public health challenge in Indonesia, with long-term consequences for cognitive development, educational attainment, and adult productivity. Beyond inadequate dietary intake, environmental determinants such as poor hygiene practices and inadequate sanitation contribute significantly to impaired linear growth. This study aims to analyze the effect of hygiene practices and environmental sanitation on stunting incidence using a community-based public health approach. A cross-sectional community-based analytical design was applied among children aged 6–59 months. Data were collected through structured caregiver interviews, direct household observations of sanitation facilities, anthropometric measurements based on WHO growth standards, and review of community health records. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was conducted to determine adjusted odds ratios for WASH-related factors. The results indicate that lack of handwashing before feeding, unimproved latrine facilities, unsafe water sources, open defecation practices, and recent diarrheal episodes significantly increase the likelihood of stunting. These findings support the fecal–oral transmission and environmental enteric dysfunction pathways linking sanitation and growth failure. The study concludes that integrated community-based WASH interventions, combined with behavior change strategies and local health system strengthening, are essential to sustainably reduce stunting prevalence

Clean and healthy living behavior remains a critical determinant of student wellbeing, yet the information environment in which today's university students form health habits has changed dramatically. This narrative review synthesizes 25 peer-reviewed studies to examine how health knowledge, chiefly measured as e-health literacy, and social media use jointly shape clean and healthy living behavior among university students. Following a PRISMA-informed search and screening process across Google Scholar, PubMed, DOAJ, and Scopus-indexed sources, the review integrates international e-health literacy research with Indonesia's Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) tradition, two literatures that have rarely been read together. Findings show that higher e-health literacy and disease-specific knowledge consistently and directly predict stronger health-promoting behavior across diverse national contexts. Social media use for health purposes similarly correlates with improved handwashing, dietary, and physical-activity outcomes, particularly on visual platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, but problematic or excessive use is associated with sedentary behavior, disrupted sleep, and greater exposure to misinformation. E-health literacy and risk perception function as mediators and moderators that determine whether social media exposure converts into durable behavior change, while peer influence and health beliefs often outweigh social media exposure on its own. The review proposes an integrated conceptual model in which knowledge acts both directly on behavior and as a literacy filter on social media's effect, and recommends that campus health promotion combine literacy-building curricula with credible, platform-specific content strategies.

Government Regulation No. 18 of 2021 and Regulation of the Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (BPN) No. 18 of 2021 allow customary land to be designated as Management Rights (HPL), promising legal certainty for indigenous communities in oil palm plantation investments. Previous studies have assessed HPL from the perspective of harmonization or registration, but have not examined it article by article throughout the HPL cycle and linked it to plantation agreements and disputes. This article analyzes the inequalities in investment agreements on customary land, critically examines HPL regulations, and formulates a reconstruction of its protection. This normative legal research uses legislative, conceptual, and case-based approaches, using the Jambi case as the primary source and comparisons from West Sumatra, Riau, Central Kalimantan, and Papua. The results show that HPL creates subjugating recognition: original customary rights are constructed as a transfer of control rights to the state. Indigenous communities' control is eroded through spatial planning, cultivation rights (HGU) that can last for almost a century, and multi-layered procedures. The lack of a mechanism to resolve overlapping rights also whitewashes HGUs issued without legal customary land release. This article's novelty lies in the reconstruction of HPL as a vehicle for benefit sharing without land release, with free, prior, and informed consent (FPIC) as a sustainable agreement, and a hierarchical, integrative dispute resolution process. The article recommends derivative regulations that make HPL a voluntary option, establish minimum standards for agreement content, and unify customary land registration.
