Abstract

Research has been done using well logging methods to interpreted coal distribution in the area BlockX Pulau Laut Tengah Kabupaten Kotabaru. Coal identification was changed ofkickongamma ray log chart which run to minimum value with seam A range from to 1,3 16,76 API, seam C range from to 5,02 12,44 APIand seam D range from to 0,56 7,38 API. Long density log which kick on chart run to maximum value with seam A range from to 1,16 1,39 gr/cm3, seam C range from to 1,60 1,74 gr/cm3and seam D range from to 1,82 2,22 gr/cm3. Resistivity log which kick on chart run to maximum value with seam A range from to 1.189,74 2.407,15 Ohm.m, seam C range from to 2.223,80 2.328,84 Ohm.m and seam D range from to 6,06 105,65 Ohm.m. Measurement ofcoal thickness is based on chart of long density and short density logs with seam A 0,16 119,55 m depth and 0,11 0,40 m thickness, seam C 0,20 52,89 m depth and 0,11 0,40 m thickness and seam D 0,21 37,13 m depth and 0,41 0,42 m thickness. Coal distribution has been strike N212°E and dip10°N302° E. Measurement method of coal resource was made two planes with volume measuredcoal resources about 2.273.792,69 tons.

Abstract

Humans are at a continuous battle against different types of diseases, so that extraordinary effort to accelerate drug discovery has become a necessity. Indonesian biodiversity is abundant natural resources that can be utilized as potential drug sources. Mangroves are among potential plant medicines that grow nearly at all Indonesian coastlines. The aim of this study was to evaluate the potential of mangrove extracts (extract library) as antibacterial agents. In this study, eight mangroves species with 16 samples from different parts of the plants such as leaf, bark or root were collected. Four types of solvents with different polarity, namely water, ethanol, ethyl acetate and hexane were used in maceration of samples producing 64 extracts. Disk diffusion method was used for antibacterial screening using five bacterial strains. There were 37 extracts showed antibacterial potential with the lowest and the highest inhibition indexes were 0.0283 and 1.8983, respectively. The highest inhibition index was recorded for ethyl acetate extract of Bruguiera gymnorrhiza root (BgR (Ea)) against Escherichia coli. The second highest inhibition index was 0.7867 recorded water extract of Avicennia marina leaf (AmL (A)) against Staphylococcus aureus. Almost all of extract showed saponin and tannin in considerable amount. This supported the data that mangrove extracts were potential as antibacterial agents.

Abstract

Komposisi ikan hasil tangkapan merupakan salah satu kajian yang akan memberikan gambaran lebih jelas tentang jenis, panjang ikan dan berat ikan yang tertangkap sehingga memudahkan nelayan melakukan penangkapan selanjutnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui komposisi jenis dan ukuran ikan (panjang dan berat) serta hubungan panjang - berat ikan yang tertangkap dengan jaring insang (gill net) di Laut Natuna. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 16 hari (9 – 24 Juni 2023) di Perairan Laut Natuna. Metode yang digunakan dalam peneliian ini adalah metode survey yaitu dengan cara pengamatan dan pengambilan data secara langsung di lapangan menggunakan jaring insang (gill net) dengan mesh size 4 inch. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan disimpulkan bahwa persentase hasil tangkapan utama didominasi oleh ikan tongkol (Euthynnus affinis) dengan 82% (679 kg). Persentase hasil tangkapan sampingan jaring insang dari 5 spesies yang paling banyak adalah ikan selayar 5% (45 kg) dan yang paling sedikit adalah ikan jahan dengan 2,20 % (21 kg). Sedangkan berdasarkan pengukuran diperoleh bahwa ukuran rata – rata panjang pada ikan tongkol yaitu berkisar antara 45 – 65 cm dan ukuran panjang ikan tenggiri yaitu 50 – 110 cm. Distribusi ukuran hasil tangkapan utama pada penelitian ini memiliki ukuran yang berbeda – beda disebabkan karena selektivitas alat tangkap yang digunakan, metode penangkapan dan sifat biologi ikan.
