Abstract

Abstract: The emergence of the Corona virus towards the end of 2019, has caused an outbreak of disease globally, many countries are still grappling with this virus until this moment. The existence of the Corona virus which easily infects mankind has hampered human activities in various aspects, has a good impact on discomfort, jobs, development, the economy, and many more. Various preventive measures are encouraged by the government in cooperation with the regions to minimize its spread as much as possible, so that it does not affect other aspects. The church as an institution and an organism is also affected by it, ranging from online worship, to as much as possible to minimize face-to-face, and several other things. Not only that, It turns out that the spread of the Corona virus has an impact on the implementation of the mission of the church. The church, which has been carrying out various religious activities physically, is forced to use various digital media so that Christians can still get services; evangelism that could be done face to face, but in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic situation, it is difficult for churches to do face to face. The church needs to respond quickly, appropriately and wisely to understand the application of social media as a means of evangelism. Given that basically any situation should not hinder the preaching of the gospel, including the COVID-19 pandemic. Here the church will take a relevant evangelistic role from the application of social media. The research method that the author uses to answer questions about the importance of social media facilities in carrying out the mission of the church during the COVID-19 pandemic is a descriptive qualitative research method. The aim is to describe how important the role of social media is in supporting the mission of the church during the COVID-19 pandemic. By building an evangelistic facility using social media, the news about Jesus Christ can be conveyed to many people at the same time, is not limited by age, is not limited by the dimensions of space and time, nor is it limited by national borders with all its bureaucracy. Keywords: Social Media; Mission Church; The COVID-19 pandemic Abstrak: Munculnya virus Corona menjelang akhir tahun 2019, telah menimbulkan wabah penyakit secara global, banyak negara-negara yang masih bergulat dengan virus ini hingga detik ini. Keberadaan virus Corona yang mudah sekali menjangkiti umat manusia telah menghambat aktivitas manusia dalam berbagai aspek, berimbas baik bagi ketidaknyamanan, pekerjaan, pembangunan, perekonomian, dan masih banyak lagi. Berbagai Tindakan pencegahan digalakkan oleh pemerintah bekerjasama dengan daerah untuk sedapat mungkin meminimalkan penyebarannya, sehingga tidak berimbas pada aspek lainnya. Gereja sebagai institusional dan organisme turut terkena dampak darinya, mulai dari peribadatan secara online, untuk sebisa mungkin meminimalkan tatap muka, serta beberapa hal lainnya. Tidak hanya itu ternyata penyebaran virus Corona berdampak pada pelaksanaan misi gereja. Gereja yang selama ini menjalankan berbagai kegiatan keagamaan secara fisik terpaksa menggunakan berbagai media digital agar umat Kristiani tetap bisa mendapatkan pelayanan; penginjilan yang tadinya dapat dilakukan secara face to face, tetapi ditengah situasi pandemi COVID-19 sulit bagi gereja untuk melakukan tatap muka. Gereja perlu menanggapi secara cepat, tepat dan bijaksana untuk memahami penerapan media sosial sebagai sarana penginjilan. Mengingat pada dasarnya keadaan apapun tidak boleh menghalangi pemberitaan Injil termasuk pandemi COVID-19. Metode penelitian yang penulis gunakan untuk menjawab pertanyaan mengenai pentingnya sarana media sosial dalam melakukan misi gereja di masa pandemi COVID-19, adalah metode penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Tujuannya adalah untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana pentingnya peranan sarana media sosial dalam mendukung misi gereja di masa pandemi COVID-19. Dengan membangun sebuah sarana penginjilan menggunakan media sosial maka berita tentang Yesus Kristus dapat disampaikan kepada banyak orang dalam waktu yang bersamaan, tidak dibatasi usia, tidak dibatasi oleh dimensi ruang dan waktu, juga tidak dibatasi oleh batas-batas negara dengan segala birokrasinya. Abstract

This research aims to determine the perspective of the congregation offering the body in the life of the GKPPD Prongil Jehe Christian family. This study uses a qualitative method. The technique for determining informants is Purposive Sampling based on certain criteria that are appropriate to the research topic. The number of participants who will be interviewed is 10 people. The data collection technique for this research is to use observations on 3-5 October 2023 and documentation in the form of pictures. The results of research conducted by the author on the GKPPD Prongil Jehe congregation have provided an understanding of offering the body to continue to strengthen relationships with others and with God. There are two factors that influence the congregation regarding offering the body, namely internal factors, need factors and interest factors where there is a sense of joy and desire that arises without any external encouragement. The second is external factors, factors that come from outside the congregation, namely the leadership of the pastor, the service of the servants, the church infrastructure (facilities). These two factors influence the congregation's perspective regarding offering the body as true worship in the life of the GKPPD Prongil Jehe Christian family.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the elderly congregation responded to the earthquake disaster, and the faith struggles of the elderly of the HKI Partangga church congregation after the earthquake based on the perspective of disaster theology. The theory used in this study is to use expert theories related to disaster theology, the theory of Zakaria J. Ngelow which emphasizes that natural disasters occur not as punishment from God, but as normal events in nature and there is no biblical record that says that God punishes sinful humans, but loves and forgives, redeems and saves humans from the wrapping of sin. The study in this research uses a qualitative method, with a descriptive analysis approach, which aims to describe the actual situation. Data collection techniques are carried out by observation, in-depth interviews. The findings of this study are that the elderly of the HKI Partangga congregation responded to the earthquake with: the emergence of fear, feeling the presence of God. In addition to responding, the elderly also provide perspectives that are different from the perspective of disaster theology on natural disasters. The elderly provide a perspective that is different from the Christian faith, which understands that earthquakes are God's punishment for sin, questions arise to God about what sins are committed, earthquakes are God's plan.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the leadership of the wife of a pastor whose husband died in continuing the transition of service as pastor of the congregation. After the death of the husband who was the church pastor, the duties and responsibilities of church ministry were automatically assigned to the wife as the continuing pastor. After being approved as continuing pastor, the wife will play a very important role, her role will be the same as the previous pastor, carrying out congregational pastoral services such as pulpit service, embracing, guiding, nurturing, serving and leading as well as building relationships with congregation members and servants. The differences in leadership of wives whose husbands die will be directly visible when carrying out their duties and responsibilities as pastors of the congregation which will have an impact on the effectiveness of the ministry. Therefore this research takes the topic “duties and responsibilitities of a pastor’s wife whose husband dies on the effectiveness of services at the muliorejo gospel spreading church”. With the aim of the research to determine and analyze the transition of duties of a pastor's wife whose husband died on the effectiveness of service at the muliorejo gospel spreading church and to find out and analyze the responsibilities of a pastor's wife whose husband has died regarding the effectiveness of the ministry at the muliorejo gospel spreading church. This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative methods, the data obtained in this research used an interview approach and recorded conversations via cellphone recordings with 12 informants. The conclusion obtained from this research is that there was a change in duties experienced by the wife of a shepherd whose husband died, this change was due to a change in duties with a different position status. From previously only being a companion to her husband who was the pastor of the congregation, she has now become a continuing pastor because of her husband's death. With the task that the mother shepherd received as continuing shepherd at the muliorejo gospel spreading church making him a person who is full of love, has a high caring nature, is firm in leading and practicing a holy life so as to support the effectiveness of ministry in the church. The leadership responsibility of a pastor's wife whose husband has died directly contributes to the effectiveness of the ministry at the muliorejo gospel spreading church. The effectiveness of the service that occurs at the muliorejo gospel spreading church is carrying out physical construction of the church, experiencing an increase in the number of souls, increasing church activity programs and opening a new church branch which will be ratified on May 5, 2024.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of parental attention on the interest in learning PAK of class XI students of HKBP Doloksanggul Private High School in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The research hypothesis is that there is a positive and significant influence between parental attention on the interest in learning PAK of class XI students of HKBP Doloksanggul Private High School in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The quantitative research method is descriptive and inferential. The population of all class XI students of HKBP Doloksanggul Private High School in the 2024/2025 Academic Year who are Protestant Christians is 159 people. The random sampling is 25% of the population, which is 40 people. The research instrument is a closed questionnaire. The results of the data analysis obtained: a) The value of r count = 0.647> r table = 0.312 and t count = 5.231> t table = 2.02439 indicates a positive and significant relationship between parental attention to the interest in learning PAK of class XI students of HKBP Doloksanggul Private High School in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. b) Regression equation. c) Determination test shows that the magnitude of the influence is 41.86%. d) Hypothesis test obtained F count = 27.411> F table = 3.23 then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. The study concludes that there is a positive and significant influence between parental attention to the interest in learning PAK of class XI students of HKBP Doloksanggul Private High School in the 2024/2025 Academic Year.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand the role of Panti Jompo Anugrah Pematang Siantar in achieving the happiness of the elderly. Nursing homes are very important to provide a safe environment and adequate care to improve the quality of life of the elderly, because they often face various social and emotional challenges. The interactions, conversations, and narratives among the elderly, workers, and the head of the foundation were analyzed in this study through discourse studies. This study was conducted with a qualitative approach and used participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. This study involved the elderly living in Panti Jompo Anugrah Pematang Siantar, nursing home employees, and the head of the foundation. This study is expected to provide a better understanding of the role of nursing homes in fulfilling the happiness of the elderly. The results are also expected to help related parties, including the government, elderly care institutions, and the general public, develop more efficient ways to improve the quality of life of the elderly living in nursing homes.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how big the influence of PAK Teacher Guidance and Characteristics is on the learning discipline of class V students at SD Negeri 048232 Karo Regency for the 2023/2024 Academic Year. The research method used is a quantitative method. The population is all class V students of SD Negeri 048232 Karo Regency for the 2023/2024 academic year, totaling 39 people and this research is population research. Data was collected using a positive closed questionnaire with 30 items, namely 17 items for variable Karo Regency for the 2023/2024 Academic Year, proven through: 1) Test analysis requirements: a) positive relationship test obtained rxy = 0.665 > rtable (-0.05.39) = 0.316. b) The significant relationship test obtained a t0 value of 5.413 ttable (0-0.05, den-2-37) 2.021. 2) Influence test: a) Regression equation test, obtained regression equation Y = 17.881 + 0.219X. b) Regression coefficient of determination test (r²) = 44.2%. 3) Hypothesis testing using the F test obtained F0 > Ftable (0-0.05, in the numerator k30, dk in the denominator-2-39-2-37) namely 29.30 1.51. Thus Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected.
