Abstract

To see the effectiveness of the use of the book, this study examines how the response of teachers, especially primary school teachers to use in the implementation of the Curriculum Master Books, 2013, particularly with respect to one of the main teacher's main task, which is preparing Learning Implementation Plan (RPP). The subjects were elementary school teachers who participated in the Training Curriculum 2013 2014 originating from various districts / cities in West Java Province. Teachers were randomly selected and acquired research subject as many as 150 people. The conclusions of this study are (1) The response of primary school teachers to use in preparing the Master Books Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) on the implementation of Curriculum 2013 in the category generally positive and very positive; (2) There is no difference in the response of teachers to use Teachers guide indeveloping and preparing lesson plans Thematic visits of regional differences assignment (districts); and  (3) There are differences in the response of teachers to use of Books Teachers develop and prepare lesson plans Thematic views of component materials / learning experience, component methods / lesson, and components of the assessment, but there are differences in the response of teachers to use of Books Teachers develop and prepare lesKeywords: Implementation of Curriculum 2013, Master Books, Response Teacher.

Abstract

Basic Writing is the first basic writing course for students in English Education Program of STKIP Garut, which is aimed to develop students' writing English skill. The efforts have been developed to improve the learning on Basic writing course and one of them is the use of multimedia. The research questions of this research were: 1). does the use of Computer-Assisted Instruction can improve the students' writing skill?, 2). does the conventional media also improve the students' writing skill?, 3). Is there any significant of improvement between the use of Computer-Assisted Instruction and conventional media?. The research used the quantitative approach and was conducted through the Quasi-Experimental Design. The research conducted between two classes, the experiment and control class, by using 50 students as samples in English Education Program of STKIP Garut. The research findings showed the primary points that the use of Computer-Assisted Instruction improved the students’ writing English simple sentence skill due to the gain value with the medium category on Basic writing course in STKIP Garut; The students’ writing English simple sentence skill of control class, which the students did not use the interactive instructional multimedia, improved considering the gain value with the low category; and There was the significance level of difference that the students who used the Computer-Assisted Instruction were better than the students who did not use the Computer-Assisted Instruction or on the other hand used the conventional media.

Abstract

AbstractThe development of instruction involving technology is one of the effects of the technology rapid development. Blended learning strategy is an option that can be adapted for instructions. However, efforts to develop instruction using blended learning are still not massive enough. This study tries to develop one of the learning design models using the Design and Development (DnD) research method. The results of this study are GALE models that can be used to develop learning using the blended learning strategy. The GALE model is a derivative developed from the ADDIE instructional model. It has four stages, start with the Goal Analysis, Activity Plan, Learning Resources Development, and Evaluate and Reflection. In its implementation, this instructional design model for blended learning strategy is carried out in the research and development of educational technology courses in the seventh semester in Educational Technology program. While at the same time utilizing the Learning Management System (LMS) facility owned by UPI, namely spot.upi.edu. The results of developing this instructional design model can support learning appropriately match to the blended learning needs that have been developed. In addition, this research is expected to be able to provide best practice for the development and implementation of blended learning strategy, and also to presenting the GALE model as an alternative development model.
