Abstract

Covid-19 is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered type of coronavirus, which spreads very quickly, can attack anyone regardless of age or gender and is more at risk of attacking people with certain medical conditions including sufferers of chronic Non-Communicable Diseases (PTM). The minimum and high cost of PPE, and the high number of PTM sufferers can be at risk of contracting this disease from other people. The purpose of this community service is to empower the community through making PPE to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 virus in the Dulomo Selatan Village community which is the location of the community service. Dulomo Village was chosen as the location for community service because it is one of the working areas of the North City Health Center which has the highest number of elderly people and has the highest number of sufferers of Non-Communicable Diseases. The procedure for the activity is first licensing, coordinating with Dulomo Selatan Village and North City Health Center, preparing tools, health promotion media, and places used for program implementation. This activity consisted of measuring the knowledge of Dulomo Selatan village cadres through distributing questionnaires, counselling about Covid-19, socializing on making simple and fulfilling PPE (masks and face shields), distributing multivitamins for PTM sufferers, and distributing stimulants in the form of masks and hand sanitizers. The results of this community service activity showed that there was an increase in cadres' knowledge about COVID 19, government policies, clean and healthy living behaviour’s and the correct way to use PPE, as well as meeting the needs of PPE in the Dulomo Selatan Village community and especially PTM sufferers in the Dulomo Selatan Village area

Abstract

Hypertension is a condition of increasing systolic blood pressure of more than equal to 140 mmHg and diastolic more than equal to 90 mmHg. Hypertension or high blood pressure is a problem found in society, both in developed and developing countries, including Indonesia. Hypertension is one of the number 1 killers in the world and is the cause of 7.5 million deaths. The purpose of this community service is to increase the knowledge and skills of the community in Dembe Jaya Village regarding early detection of hypertension. Dembe Jaya Village was chosen as the location for community service because it is one of the working areas of the North City Public Health Center which has a fairly high number of hypertension sufferers and is an area that has the highest Non-Communicable Diseases. The method of implementing community service is carried out in the form of counselling which is carried out using lecture methods, discussions, consultations, empowerment, mentoring and evaluation of early detection of hypertension and training in using mercury tense meters through a series of activities, namely first licensing, coordination with Dembe Jaya Village and Puskesmas Kota Utara, prepared tools, media for health promotion, and places used for program implementation. As a result of community service, there was an increase in knowledge and skills for early detection of hypertension in Dembe Jaya Village, Kota Utara District, Gorontalo City.

Abstract

Latar Belakang Masalah: Perawat berperan terhadap gangguan kebutuhan nutrisi pada penderita diabetes melitus yang bertujuan untuk mengontrol dan mempertahankan kadar glukosa darah agar tetap dalam kondisi yang normal. Kurangnya aturan mengikuti pola makan secara tepat menyebabkan kadar glukosa darah akan terus mengalami peningkatan dan bisa memicu komplikasi diabetes. Tujuan: Untuk memberikan Asuhan Keperawatan Pada Pasien Diabetes Melitus Dengan Gangguan Kebutuhan Nutrisi di Rumah Sakit serta menurunkan kadar gula darah dan memperbaiki status nutrisi pada penderita Diabetes Melitus. Metode: Rancangan ini menggunakan metode studi kasus deskriptif dengan pendekatan asuhan keperawatan yang dilaksanakan secara komprehensif. Hasil: didapatkan bahwa dengan dilakukan tindakan mandiri manajemen nutrisi dan manajemen hiperglikemia terjadi peningkatan status nutrisi dan kestabilan kadar glukosa darah pada kedua responden. Peningkatan status nutrisi dan kestabilan kadar glukosa terjadi karena kedua subjek mengalami peningkatan berat badan yakni Ny. W 0.8 kg dan Tn. A 1.5 kg serta penurunan gula darah sewaktu dengan Ny. W 154 mg/dL dan Tn. A 180 mg/dL. Kesimpulan: Pemenuhan kebutuhan nutrisi pada sampel penelitian yang mengalami masalah diabetes melitus terbukti dapat meningkatkan status nutrisi dan kestabilan kadar glukosa darah dengan hasil responden mengalami peningkatan berat badan dan penurunan gula darah sehingga gangguan kebutuhan nutrisi atau defisit nutrisi dan ketidakstabilan kadar glukosa darah teratasi.
