Abstract

KPM Internasional is a form of student engagement that integrates academic, social, and cultural dimensions across national boundaries. This study aims to analyze the implementation of the International KPM as a medium for economic and educational diplomacy, using a case study in Hatyai, Thailand. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the KPM program in Hatyai not only strengthens academic collaboration between Indonesian and Thai universities but also creates opportunities for cooperation in the fields of creative economy, local trade, and halal product promotion. Moreover, the program plays a significant role in fostering soft diplomacy through cultural exchange, language interaction, and the dissemination of moderate Islamic values relevant to the Southern Thai context. Therefore, the International KPM serves as an effective instrument for expanding educational and economic networks while enhancing Indonesia’s positive image in the global arena.

Abstract

As a religious nation, Indonesia places religion as the basis for moral, spiritual, and ethical development. Majelis ta'lim is an Islamic non-formal educational institution that has its position in society because the ta'lim assembly is a forum for fostering and developing religious life to form a pious community to Allah SWT. In Aceh, one of the ta'lim assemblies that have an important role in people's lives is the Majlis Zikir Tastafi (Sufism, Tawhid, and Fiqh). Majlis Tastafi is unique compared to others, with a busy congregation spread throughout Aceh with a good network and organizational structure. This study aims to examine the impact of Tastafi's recitation and remembrance on the socio-religious life of the community and to see the community's interest in attending the recitation. This study uses qualitative methods with an in-depth interview and meticulous observation techniques. The results showed that Tastafi's recitation and remembrance had a good impact on the socio-religious life of the community. In addition, the community's interest in participating in Tastafi's recitation and remembrance was very high because it is driven by the desire to gain religious knowledge and inner strength through zikr.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of zakat distribution in reducing poverty levels in Lhokseumawe City through programs implemented by the Baitul Mal of Lhokseumawe City. Although zakat has significant potential as a poverty alleviation instrument, several challenges remain in practice, including suboptimal distribution, inaccurate identification of eligible beneficiaries (mustahik), and limited available funds. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method, with data collected through field observations, in-depth interviews with Baitul Mal officials, and documentation studies based on institutional reports and data from the Central Bureau of Statistics of Lhokseumawe City. The findings indicate that zakat distribution programs have provided tangible benefits to mustahik, particularly through productive business capital assistance and skills training initiatives. However, the overall effectiveness of these programs still requires improvement. Enhancing data accuracy, implementing more structured distribution strategies, and strengthening continuous monitoring and evaluation systems are essential to achieving optimal and sustainable long-term impacts on poverty reduction in Lhokseumawe City.

Abstract

Takaful insurance is a shariah insurance that aims to minimize the loss of a risk. One of its flagship products is Fulnadi, this product is devoted to prepare children insurance to pursue their bachelor degree. This study aims to determine the effect of payment of claims benefits on the satisfaction of Fulnadi product participants and to know the procedure of claim benefit payment from risk insurance policy Fulnadi at PT. Takaful Insurance Family, Banda Aceh. This research applies both qualitative and quantitative approach through descriptive analysis. The data were taken through library research and field research, with the technique of collecting interview data, study of documentation and technique of questionnaire. The results revealed that the Family Takaful Insurance, especially Fulnadi, is a product that diverts the risk of children who could not continue their education if something bad happens in life, for the transfer of this risk the participant must pay the premium. The amount of paid premium greatly affects a number of benefits received. Other results indicate that 50% of participants expressed dissatisfaction with the benefits of claims received for the educational needs of the participating children. ABSTRAK - Asuransi takaful adalah asuransi syariah yang bertujuan untuk memperkecil kerugian dari suatu risiko. Salah satu produk unggulannya adalah Fulnadi, produk ini dikhususkan untuk mempersiapkan anak dalam hal pendidikan sampai sarjana. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembayaran manfaat klaim terhadap kepuasan peserta produk Fulnadi dan untuk mengetahui prosedur pembayaran manfaat klaim dari pertanggungan risiko polis Fulnadi pada PT. Asuransi Takaful Keluarga Banda Aceh. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif yang bersifat deskriptif analisis. Data yang diambil yaitu library research dan field research, dengan teknik pengumpulan data wawancara, telaah dokumentasi dan teknik kuesioner. Hasil penelitian mengungkapkan bahwa Asuransi Takaful Keluarga khususnya Fulnadi merupakan produk yang mengalihkan risiko anak-anak peserta yang tidak bisa melanjutkan pendidikan jika ada hal buruk terjadi dalam hidup, untuk pengalihan risiko ini peserta harus membayar premi. Besar kecilnya jumlah premi yang dibayarkan sangat mempengaruhi jumlah manfaat yang diterima. Hasil lain menunjukkan bahwa 50% peserta menyatakan tidak puas dengan manfaat klaim yang diterima untuk kebutuhan pendidikan putra-putri peserta.
