Abstract

Research was conducted out in August-October 2022, with the title: Need Analysis of English to Improve English Skills of Micro Smll Medium Enterprises at Kampung Bandar- Pekanbaru City. This study aimed to find out thet need of English to improve English skills of micro small and medium enterprises at Kampung Bandar- Pekanbaru City. This study used a qualitative descriptive method to obtain primary and secondary data where data collection was done by distributed questionnaires and interviews. The results obtained from this study revealed that the micro small and medium enterprises at Kampung Bandar-Pekanbaru City, still really need the English language to support their work. From the self-assessment/self-evaluation, it is known that the majority of local guides learn English from school. In terms of English proficiency, the local guide states that basic are 60% of respondents. Furthermore, there are several points that Micro Small and Medium Enterprises must master in welcoming foreign tourists, especially in the fields of greeting, welcoming the tourist, and saying goodbye.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul Identifikasi Potensi Kelurahan Tebing Tinggi Okura Kecamatan Rumbai Pesisir Sebagai Pelopor Kampung Wisata Ramah Muslim Kota Pekanbaru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui ketersediaan kebutuhan wisatawan muslim di Kelurahan Tebing Tinggi Okura sebagai pelopor pariwisata halal Kota Pekanbaru sesuai Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI)-Indonesia Muslim Travel Index (IMTI). Kelurahan Tebing Tinggi Okura sebagai destinasi halal Kota Pekanbaru belum memiliki data tentang ketersediaan sumber daya pariwisata dalam konteks halal, oleh sebab itu perlu dilakukan penelitian yang mengacu kepada aspek-aspek Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI)-Indonesia Muslim Travel Index (IMTI). Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kampung Wisata Kelurahan Tebing Tinggi Okura. Lama penelitian dilaksanakan selama 6 bulan terhitung dari bulan Juni-Desember 2020. Adapun metode yang digunakan yaitu survey lapangan dan indeep interview. Jenis dan sumber data yang digunakan adalah data primer dan sekunder, dengan teknik pnigumpulan data melalui observasi/ survey lapangan, indeep interview, dan studi dokumen. Sedangkan untuk teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif analisis. Hasil dari penelititan menunjukkan bahwa sebagai destinasi halal, Tebing Tinggi Okura telah memenuhi aspek-aspek kebutuhan wisatawan sebagai berikut: Access, Comunication, Environment, Services. Aspek-aspek tersebut masih perlu dikembangkan agar daerah Tebing Tinggi Okura benar benar siap untuk menjamu wisatawan dengan konsep destinasi ramah muslim.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berjudul “Strategi Pengembangan Wisata Kampung Bandar Kota Pekanbaru”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Potensi Wisata Kampung Bandar Kota Pekanbaru, untuk mengetahui Faktor Pendukung dan Penghambat Pengembangan Wisata Kampung Bandar, untuk mengetahui Strategi Pengembangan Wisata Kampung Bandar Kota Pekanbaru. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Analisis Deskriptif eksploratif dengan tiga tahapan tehnik analisis yang digunakan yaitu, teknik analisis deskriptif, teknik analisis Delphi dan teknik analisis SWOT. Analisis dan penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam jangka waktu 6 bulan. Potensi Wisata Kampung Bandar adalah Objek Wisata Sejarah ada 7 Objek Wisata, Wisata Budaya ada 6 dan Wisata Buatan ada 1 (satu) yaitu Restorant Kapal Terapung (Quantung Cruize), dan Potensi Wisata Kreatif yang ada di Kampung Bandar dari 17 sektor baru dikembangkan 3 sektor yaitu Kriya, Kuliner dan Fashion. Startegi Pengembangan Wisata Kampung Bandar yang dapat diterapkan adalah: Strategi WO-1, meningkatkan Fasilitas Pendukung, seperti meningkatkan kebersihan toilet, tempat bersantai di tepi sungai siak dan tong sampah yang sudah banyak coretan-coretan serta membersihkan sampah-sampah yang terdapat aliran sungai Siak tersebut, untuk dapat meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan ke objek wisata Kampung Bandar. dan Stategi SO-1, Pemanfaatan Potensi yang ada saat ini untuk menangkap peluang yang ada untuk meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan ke Kampung Bandar.

Abstract

Successful tourism development is a development that is carried out together, with the term "Building with the community" so that tourism development can provide benefits to the local community, and good management of tourist villages is one that involves community participation in it. This study aims to determine Community Participation in the Development of Hariarapohan Tourism Village, Hariarapohan District, Samosir Regency, North Sumatra. In this study using qualitative descriptive research methods of data collection through observation, distributing questionnaires, interviews, and documentation to obtain data related to the management of Tourism Villages, which are samples in the study, namely Village Officials and 100 community members. The problem in this study is the forms of community participation in Tourism Villages and the level of community participation in Tourism Villages, This study aims to analyze how the forms of community participation in Tourism Villages and how the level of community participation in Tourism Villages. The results of the study are community participation in the form of thoughts, energy, thoughts and energy, expertise, goods, money. And the results of the research show that the Hariarapohan Tourism Village community participated in the development of the Hariarapohan Tourism Village, and the level of community participation in the development of the Hariarapohan tourism village was high, so it can be concluded that the community participated in the development of the Hariarapohan Tourism Village, Hariarapohan District, Samosir Regency.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital telah mendorong perubahan dalam sektor pariwisata, terutama dalam strategi promosi dan pengelolaan destinasi wisata berbasis teknologi informasi. Provinsi Riau memiliki potensi wisata berbasis kearifan lokal yang kuat, seperti budaya Melayu, wisata sejarah, tradisi adat, dan wisata alam, namun pemanfaatan digital tourism masih belum optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implementasi digital tourism dalam pengembangan pariwisata berbasis kearifan lokal di Riau serta mengidentifikasi peluang dan hambatan yang dihadapi. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan studi literatur. Informan penelitian terdiri atas pengelola wisata, pemerintah daerah, pelaku UMKM, serta masyarakat lokal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemanfaatan media sosial, website pariwisata, dan konten digital mampu meningkatkan promosi destinasi wisata budaya Melayu Riau dan memperluas jangkauan wisatawan domestik maupun mancanegara. Namun, pengembangan digital tourism masih menghadapi kendala berupa rendahnya literasi digital masyarakat, keterbatasan infrastruktur internet, dan kurangnya sumber daya manusia di bidang pemasaran digital. Kesimpulan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa digital tourism berperan penting dalam memperkuat identitas budaya lokal sekaligus meningkatkan daya saing pariwisata daerah secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Employee performance is a crucial element in the success of hotel industry operations that are increasingly competitive. The phenomenon of low employee performance in the hospitality sector is often associated with the lack of effective training programs and work motivation. This study aims to determine the effect of training and work motivation on employee performance simultaneously and partially at FOX Hotel Pekanbaru. This study uses quantitative methods with data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. the sample of this study was 77 people consisting of all FOX Hotel employees who were taken by saturated sampling. the data were analyzed descriptively to describe the research data, and multiple linear regression analysis to test the effect of independent variables on one dependent variable. The results of this study indicate that the simultaneous test of training and work motivation has a significant effect on employee performance at FOX Hotel Pekanbaru which is indicated by the Fcount > Ftable value of 14,262 > 3. 122 means that training and work motivation have a significant effect on employee performance at FOX Hotel Pekanbaru, and the amount of influence is shown by the results of the determinant test (R2) or R Square 0.729 means that the effect of training and work motivation on employee performance FOX Hotel Pekanbaru is 72.9% while the remaining 27.1% is influenced by other factors outside of this research variable such as job satisfaction, work ability, work environment, and compensation. While the effect of training partially indicated by the value of tcount > ttable which is equal to 3.373 > 1.666, partially significant effect on employee performance at FOX Hotel Pekanbaru. Based on the findings of this study, FOX Hotel Pekanbaru management is advised to prioritize the implementation of recognition systems, career development pathways, and employee empowerment programs as key strategies for improving performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze existing conditions and development strategies of Pulau Qeis natural tourism in Kampar Regency and design a 3D visualization model as an innovation to enhance destination attractiveness. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation techniques, involving Tourism Office, tourism managers, Pokdarwis, and local tourism activists. Data analysis used the Miles and Huberman model through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing stages. Results indicate that Pulau Qeis possesses strengths in diverse water-based attractions, active community participation, and environmental conservation commitment. Main weaknesses include limited utilization of promotional technology and facility damage due to fluctuating dam water levels. The 3D visualization model developed using Google SketchUp and Lumion software produced a floating house concept adaptive to geographical conditions while creating new tourist attractions. This visualization functions as both development blueprint and effective promotional medium. The study recommends integrated management strategies based on sustainable tourism, diversification of digital promotion technology, implementation of floating house concept to strengthen competitiveness, and systematic program development considering the balance between economic utilization and environmental conservation.
