Abstract

This study aims to elaborate the specific methodology of al-Tah{ri>r wa al-Tanwi>r interpretation by Muh}ammad T{a>hir Ibnu ‘A<syu>r, an expert of interpretation a Maliki-based has written his interpretive work using the analytical method (tah}li>li>) with a linguistic pattern (lughawi>) and tried to criticize his previous works. In terms of methodology, Ibnu ‘A<syu>r interpretation uses an analytical method (tah}li>li>), with the pattern used is language (lughawi>). The data collection technique used in this study as a whole is a literature research or book survey. Data is processed using qualitative methods, namely processing data based on the values contained in each data. The results showed that there is a distinctiveness that other interpretations do not have, namely the tendency of interpretation to the pattern of language (lughawi>). This is evidenced by (1) Writing down points that have not existed in the previous interpretation, (2) Explaining each i’jaz of the Qur’an in detail and contained in a separate book, (3) Revealing arabic linguistic values (balaghah, nahwu, sharaf, mantik), (3) Revealing the style of language (badi’) contained in a sentence of the Qur’an clearly by explaining the ways of its use (4) Explaining the harmony of one verse with another.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk membahas pemikiran Fazlur Rahman dengan teori double movement-nya dan Muhammad Syahrur dengan teori batasnya (hudud) dalam menafsirkan ayat-ayat riba serta relevansinya terhadap fenomena pinjaman online yang berkembang dalam masyarakat modern. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan kepustakaan, yang berfokus pada buku-buku yang membahas kedua tokoh dan jurnal penelitian ilmiah terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, menurut teori double movement Fazlur Rahman, pinjaman online yang menerapkan bunga tinggi, biaya tersembunyi, dan kontrak yang tidak transparan bertentangan dengan prinsip keadilan yang menjadi inti ajaran Islam. Praktik tersebut dapat dikategorikan sebagai bentuk modern dari riba jahiliyyah yang dilarang. Dalam perspektif Muhammad Syahrur, pinjaman online yang mengenakan bunga berlebihan melampaui batas maksimum (hadd al-a’la) yang diperbolehkan, sehingga termasuk riba yang diharamkan. Kajian ini menegaskan pentingnya menafsirkan riba dengan mempertimbangkan dinamika sosial-ekonomi kontemporer. Selain itu, artikel ini menekankan perlunya solusi keuangan berbasis etika Islam untuk mengatasi dampak buruk pinjaman online, seperti beban ekonomi dan ketidakadilan sosial, yang bertentangan dengan nilai-nilai keadilan dalam Islam.

Abstract

This paper aims to explore the position of women in the dynamics of modern tafsir study on Tafsir Al-Tahrir wa al-Tanwir by Muhammad Tahir Ibn 'Ashur. Tafsir is a representative of modern tafsir that is widely used as literature to discuss contemporary issues. The research uses literature review with a qualitative approach and accompanied by discourse analysis. The results showed that the position of women in the Qur'an according to Ibn 'Assyria does not deny the difference with men, and this is aimed at aspects of their respective roles in the order of life. The difference as illustrated by the Qur'an is in the form of the difference between night and day, the existence of both of which becomes a unity of Allah's decrees and provisions or sunnatullah (created this universe is always paired with each other). The work of women in the public world is no longer a rare sight. The opening of fields and job opportunities that are no longer strict with gender criteria, progress in the field of education, poverty experienced by most families, are all factors that are very instrumental in increasing taking part in the public sphere. Interestingly, the success of women in carrying out their duties is not inferior to that of men, proving that success in the public sphere is not related to gender criteria.
