Abstract

Osteoarthritis sufferers generally experience pain in the joint area, pain that occurs continuously can reduce the quality of life of osteoarthritis sufferers. This study aims to determine the effect of ROM exercises on the intensity of knee joint pain with osteoarthritis at RSU Sundari. The design of this study used quasi-experimental with the one group pre post test design approach. The sampling technique in this study used Probability Sampling with the Simple Random Sampling approach and obtained 26 respondents at RSU Sundari Medan. The instrument used is a sheet SOP Range of Motion, stopwatch and NRS (Numeric Rating Scale) observation sheet. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Statistical Test with significance (ρ ≤ 0.05). The results of the study showed that the average pain scale before ROM was 3.00, and the average pain scale after ROM intervention for 6 days decreased to 1.00. The results of the study show that there is influence exercise ROM vs. intensity of knee joint pain with osteoarthritis at RSU Sundari (ρ value = 0.000) with a mean ranks of 10.50 and a sum of ranks of 210.00. ROM exercises can affect the intensity of the knee joint pain scale with osteoarthritis. This is because by practicing ROM, the joints will move actively, thus affecting the blood vessel system in the extremities. That the nutrition and fluids in the joints and bones are sufficient and pain due to disease will be reduced.

Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Stroke is the third leading cause of death after heart and right cancer, patients who survive often suffer from a disability in need of rehabilitation to help restore physical abilities and improve the overall quality of life. Permanent paralysis due to stroke can be prevented by rehabilitative therapy. One rehabilitation therapy that is often used is a motion training program or Range Of Motion (ROM). The aim of this study the effects of exercise Meng etahui Range Of Motion (ROM) to increase muscle strength in patients with stroke at Sundari Hospital Medan. The study design using the method of pre-ek s elf men with One Group pretest-posttest desaing, the sample size of 14 respondents to the technique consecutiv e sampling given ROM exercises with exercise 7 days (1 week) with lat i han 6 times a day . Pe ngumpulan data by using observation sheet statistical test d i use is the Wilcoxon test and magnified by a P value of 0.001, this shows the value of p <α (0:05), it can be concluded that there is significant influence (significant) between workouts Range Of Motion to muscle strength in stroke patients at Sundari Hospital Medan

Abstract

Pain is one of the main complaints that drives a person to come to health services. Aging is a natural process experienced by every living creature. The process includes several changes such as physiological, psychological, social and spiritual status. One of the causes of physiological changes in the musculoskeletal system is joint pain. There are several ways to overcome this, namely by practicing footwork (stretching). The aim of this study was to determine the effect of leg movement exercises (stretching) on reducing lower extremity joint pain in the elderly at the Elderly Care Service in Binjai. The type of research used in this research is pre-experimental design with a one group pre test-post test design. The population in this study was 52 elderly people aged 45-59 years. The samples in this study were 10 respondents in the treatment group and 10 respondents in the control group. The sampling technique used in this research is Non Probability Sampling, purposive sampling type. Data was taken using questionnaires and observation sheets. The variable is those who experience lower extremity joint pain. Next, the data were analyzed using a paired t-test with a significance level of p ≤ 0.05. The results showed a decrease in joint pain after giving exercise (stretching). The conclusion is that stretching reduces lower extremity joint pain in the elderly. By reducing joint pain, elderly people can become more active, productive and can live out their old age more comfortably. For future researchers, it is recommended that the scope of the research be deeper for more accurate results by involving a large sample, longer research time and stricter methods of controlling confounding factors. Abstract

Nurse performance affects the quality of hospital services. The Professional Nursing Care Method (MAKP) team model emphasizes teamwork, clear task division, and professional responsibility. This community service aims to optimize nurse performance through the implementation of the MAKP team model at RSU Sundari Medan, involving 15 nurse respondents. The activities were conducted through education, training, and mentoring, with evaluation using observation and interviews. The results showed improvements in nurses’ understanding, teamwork, professional responsibility, and performance in delivering nursing care. The MAKP team model also enhanced service quality, documentation, and team communication. Sustainability requires management support, regular training, and periodic evaluation.
